Jaslene Silvercloud looks up to Hikaru and nods. She opened the phone slowly and dialed up Tarnek but got no answer. Jas worried her lower lip before she dialed Sam's number and waited.
Samanya answered immediately, not recognizing the number her voice was tense and worried, "Hello?"
Jaslene Silvercloud let out a slow breath as she spoke softly not trusting her voice to sound strong. "Sam...?"
Samanya breathed a sigh of relief as she left her and Tarnek's room. She didn't want to wake him, "Jas what happened?" she asked, not bothering to ask if the other female was okay.
Jaslene Silvercloud: "I...I think...no...I know...it was the demon again..." She opened her mouth to say more but then closed her mouth.
Samanya hissed, walking up to the windows, "I mean where are you? Did you get somewhere safe?" she asked, a hand on the window as she looked out
Jaslene Silvercloud: "Yes...but...n...not soon enough." She closed her eyes as she inwardly cursed herself for sounding so weak. "I'm...in the church..."
Samanya cursed and closed her eyes as well, "Are you okay? Is it safe to come there?"
Jaslene Silvercloud: "I...I will be. I...I think it is safe. I just...I don't wanna leave."
Samanya sighed, her eyes opening as she studied the scenery past the glass. "Tarnek and I are at home, he's asleep.... I can come there though?" she offered, not entirely certain it was wise to leave, but not willing to ask Jas to leave.
Jaslene Silvercloud: "I...need you to come. If...you don't feel safe...don't come. But..."
Samanya nodded, answering instantly, "I'll be there as soon as I can." She turned immediately, ending the call and heading to her and Tarnek's room silently. She grabbed her coat and slid her phone in its pocket before pulling on her boots and heading towards the door. As an afterthought, she turned and went back for one particular item. Grabbing it and heading back out, she slid the beads around her neck, her fingers resting on the cross for a moment as she said a quick prayer before unlocking the doors to Sanctuary, and locking them back when she'd stepped outside.
Samanya slipped into the church, armed with an old family cross and a
silver dagger at her boot. She looked around, "Jas?" she called softly.
Jaslene Silvercloud was curled up on a pew. She flinched slightly before
looking over her shoulder. The relief was plane on her face. A sleeping Mitzy lay on
the pew near her.
Samanya blinked and half walked half ran towards Jas, "What the..." she
frowned and her concern intensified, "Jas what happened?" she asked, a hand
reaching towards one of the angry welts still gracing Jas's skin.
Jaslene Silvercloud looked up to Sam, "I...I got lost in the fog. I...started to
see things....hear things. Then...these...these icy claws...they...they came out of no
where..."
Samanya cringed and looked across the pews, a warm energy building
around her, "Is she okay?" she asked, nodding at Mitsy. As she spoke, her hand
touched one of the welts on Jas's arm, the barest of touches, but it would be felt.
Common as it was for shifters, it was easier for Sam to let another shifter borrow
energy by touching them directly.
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly nods, "just scared...we both are." She kept her
legs drawn up onto the pew and her arms wrapped around her legs. Jas looked up
to Sam her fear still plain on her face. As slight bit of relief came to her when Sam
touched her skin as their beasts recognized each other.
Samanya sighed and moved past Jas to sit on the other side of her. Sam
dropped any pretense of shields and let her tigress embrace Jas's own, Sam's
energy strong and warm. "I don't think it's still out there tonight," her voice was
soft and uncertain, "everyone is still on edge."
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly nods, "I'm...just glad you and Tarn are safe..."
Samanya cringed again, "He'll be mad at me for leaving without waking
him up."
Jaslene Silvercloud frowned, "He can damn well get over it." Her anger was
helping her to think.
Samanya laughed softly, her tiger brushing against Jas again as a
house-cat would, twining its energy around her feet and legs. "What happened to
your phone?" she wondered, "you didn't call from it." She seemed to just now
remember that... and was curious.
Jaslene Silvercloud lets her beast brush with Sam's as she starts to relax
slightly. "I...dropped it...near the big tree..."
Samanya yawns and nods, "Okay, I'll look for it later." She sighed and
leaned her head back on the pew, "Any idea what brings that thing out? How to
stop it?" She knew from scent that several others had been here, and was
wondering what had happened. The shattered glass was driving her nuts to ask
about, but that wasn't her first concern...
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly shakes her head, "I...don't know. Hikaru and
Aydryan...they have a plan..."
Samanya nodded silently, her hand playing with a strand of holy beads, "I
hope that it works, whatever it is," she shivered remembering the eerie fog that
had fell over the town earlier. Looking back to Jaslene, she frowned, "Are you
going to stay here tonight? Or come back to Sanctuary?" she glanced to the pew
Mitsy was on as she finished.
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly looked to Sam, "I just....don't know.. I...I don't
wanna leave Mitzy here alone..."
Samanya turned narrowed eyes to study the windows again, "Is it really
safe to stay here though?" Sam had been about to add that they could take Mitsy
back to Sanctuary with them, but that wasn't her place to suggest so she didn't
bring it up.
Jaslene Silvercloud looked to Mitzy then back to Sam, "All right...let's take
her with us..."
Samanya nods again and stood, moving around to where Mitsy slept.
Lifting the other female was easy enough, yay shifter strength, Sam thought with
a sardonic smile. That wouldn't do squat against the demon that seemed to enjoy
terrorizing the town. Not wanting to dally, Sam held Mitsy carefully as one might
hold a child, "Can you walk?" she asked Jas with a frown, just now having
considered that.
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly nodded as she rose. "I can..."
Samanya sighed, "I guess let's go then? We can detour a bit and grab
your phone too if you want."
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly nods but first she moved over to place Hikaru's
cell phone in his desk and left him a note about leaving it behind. Then he came
back to join Sam.
Jaslene Silvercloud moved slowly towards the large tree. She shuddered
from the memories alone as she knelt down to pick up her dropped cell phone.
Samanya let Jas get the church door and walked out into the cold night.
Her eyes were constantly moving, her energy constantly swirling in a wide circle
around them as if searching, "Find it?" she asked as Jas leaned down, "ah, guess
so."
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly nodded, "Let's....just go home..." Her voice was
soft as she started to walk again for the bar.
Jaslene Silvercloud moved to the doors of Sanctuary and pulled out her
keys to unlock them as she held the door open for Sam.
Samanya nodded and followed closely, careful not to move in a manor
that would wake Mitsy up. "Thanks," she murmured, passing through the doors
and turning to watch them be locked back. She knew Jas would lock the doors...
but the night had her wanting to watch the action as well.
Jaslene Silvercloud closed the door behind Sam and locked up even the
dead bolt tightly. She drew the shades down as she turned the open sign off. Jas
looked over to Sam before moving to turn off the downstairs lights. She closed her
eyes as she took a long shuddering breath before moving for the door behind the
bar.
Jaslene Silvercloud held the door open for Sam
Samanya nodded silently to Jas, following closely as they headed
upstairs. "Where do you want me to put her?" she asked Jas, about Mitsy, when
they reached the apartment door.
Jaslene Silvercloud locked the downstairs down before heading up and
holding the apartment door open for Sam. "We can get a few pillows and blankets
for her for the big bed there." She pointed for the one in the living room.
Samanya walked over to the huge bed that they kept in the living room and
sat Mitsy down carefully on it, "I can grab an extra blanket from our room," she
said and went to look for it.
Jaslene Silvercloud nods as she moved to lock the apartment door. Then
she headed to get a few spare pillows from the linen closet as she moved to drape
them over Mitzy.
Samanya moved silently, not wanting to wake Tarnek. Finding a nice fluffy
blanket, she took it to cover Mitsy with. With that done, she sighed and turned to
Jas, "We have a lot to talk about," her eyes traveled over the marks marring Jas's
skin, "but I suppose it can wait a while longer." She knew they couldn't really talk
with Mitsy around anyway, "You wanna stay out here with Mitsy tonight or pile in
with me and Tarnek?" she offered, knowing Jas probably wouldn't stay in her own
bedroom.
Jaslene Silvercloud: "I wanna...stay with you guys..." She had her arms
wrapped around herself now.
Samanya looked over to the doors to make sure they were locked, then
back at Mitsy. Satisfied they were all safe enough, or as safe as they could be...
she nodded, "Hehe, it'll be an interesting morning," she laughed and moved to the
bedroom door, "need me to grab anything from your room?" she thought and
asked quietly.
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly shakes her head, "I...I'll get changed first." Slowly
moved for her bedroom door.
Samanya nods, "Okay, I'll leave our door opened. I guess leave it opened
since Mitsy's here," she added with a frown before going to her room to change.
She ditched everything but her cross and changed into sleep shorts and a thin
tank top. She glanced to the bed and frowned again and decided to dally till Jas
got there. She remembered from past conversations that it would be better if Jas
slept in the middle, and figured it would be less odd if she didn't have to move
when Jas came in.
Jaslene Silvercloud closed her door behind her as she changed into some
loose grey striped pants and a long sleeved graphic shirt. She left her rosary
hanging around her neck. Jas shuddered feeling of the wounds on her skin
brushing against the fabric of the long sleeve shirt. Slowly, she moved out of her
room and walked over into Tarnek and Sam's room with her arms still wrapped
around herself.
Samanya sighed. Jas wasn't gonna make this easy for her. She moved to
her side of the bed and pulled the covers back, motioning to Jas, "You get the
middle," she said in a soft whisper.
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly nodded as she moved around and crawled slowly
into the bed without another word and laid there in the middle of the bed.
Samanya covered her mouth as she yawned and glanced out the door. It
was weird leaving it opened, she thought. "We're glad you're back, Jas," she said
in that same quiet voice. She stifled another yawn and climbed onto the bed,
sliding her legs under the covers and moving as close to Jas as she could without
actually touching her. Sam didn't want to brush against any of the many wounds,
"Night Jas," her soft timbre could barely be heard as she closed her eyes and
relaxed.
Jaslene Silvercloud slowly nodded as she yawned. "Thank you...night Sam." Slowly, Jas managed to fall asleep.
