Deoridhe has nested as only a student can. A bag of chocolates - variety - and bag of small, sugar coated candies. They're tucked securely in-between books and bag, the largest book open on her lap. She's reaching blindly for candy, licking her fingers before carefully turning a page with the heel of her hand.
Rhage Terasaur sat at her computer, her legs crossed 'indian style' in the big rolly chair. Tapping away at the keys, she was almost done catching up on everything that she'd missed several weeks ago. Luckily, proof of being kidnapped and tortured had been excuse enough for the professors to allow her to make shit up. Rolling her pale blue eyes, Rhage grumbled and pushed herself away from the desk. The chair spun lazily and rolled easily across the clouded ebony tile in her room. Now that she was virtually caught up with her studies, she glanced around her bedroom. She still found it more than a little difficult to sleep in the room, but she'd refused to have it redone again. Maybe she was a bit of a masochist. The brilliant white walls often took her back to the weeks she spent strapped down to that surgical table from hell. Even her twin refused to set foot into the room. Shrugging to herself she stood, standing on her toes as her arms lifted above her lithely. A contented feline purr accompanied the full-body stretch, quieting to a barely there sound as she moved around the room. After a millisecond of hesitation when her eyes landed on a pair of pretty slate-blue heels, she slid them on. Might come in handy if she ran into her favorite vampire, she thought with snorted laughter. Oy. Throwing shoes. Not her best moment. Laughing softly, she unhooked her sleek little cell phone from its charger and slipped it into her back pocket before reaching for the house keys and sliding them into one of the side pockets. Her ID and a bit of cash would go in the opposite side pocket, and she was ready to go. Her... jewelry... left little pink star prints on her porcelain skin, the slight discoloration fading and moving as the charms went this way and that. Rhage frowned into the mirror. The little snippets of sunshine she'd been getting the last few days weren't nearly enough for her taste, and as she went downstairs and left the house, she decided that tomorrow she'd extend the time she stayed out. Strolling towards town, Rhage idly wondered when she would hear from Narcissus. The young woman was currently in town on borrowed time. Oh well. She'd be in touch, or leave town. At least that's what Rhage assumed. She certainly wasn't going to go out of her way to track the woman down. Sighing, she found herself moving towards Old Town... It was odd, she thought, that since the Masters' decided to relocate their bar more and more citizens of Wood Bourne were willing to venture into the more shady part of town. She was actually a little surprised that the crime rate hadn't increased...
Narcissus Silvercloud slowly rose from the bed where Arturius laid. "You go find your friend. I have business to take care of." She turned away from him hiding her serious expression. Narci moved over to her cell phone and picked it up. She didn't have the twins phone numbers anymore she didn't think. Slowly, she flipped through the numbers as she held the sheet up that was wrapped around her body. Her brows rose as she saw the number was still there. Narci took a slow breath as she entered Rhage's cell number and held the phone up to her ear. She hoped this went better than the other night.
Rhage Terasaur skipped lazily along, she had no where she just -had- to be. With Ser working late at the store tonight, she figured it would be another hour or so before her twin texted to find out where she'd gone. Pausing at the intersection, she clicked the little button and waited, tapping her foot impatiently for the little red hand that said 'don't walk' to flash to the little green man that said it was okay to cross the street. As soon as the lights changed, Rhage crossed the street and impulsively stepped into the cafe to say hi to whatever resident teenager was working the counter tonight. She ordered a very unhealthy, but yummy plate of chili-cheese fries to-go and had just stepped out of the cafe, carrying her lil' to-go bag when her phone rang. Swapping the bag to her left hand, she fished her cell phone out of the right pocket, frowning at the number, "Hello?" she curiously and optimistically greeted whoever was on the other end.
Narcissus Silvercloud smiled gently hearing the voice. She put a smile into her voice. "Hello Rhage. It's Narci. I was hoping we could talk."
Rhage Terasaur walked through town, the Styrofoam container inside the plastic bag squeaking indignantly as it swayed with her gait. Her brows drew together as her expression portrayed its curious frown, "Narcissus. I'm a little surprised that you waited to get in touch." A little surprised and agitated. Not that that attitude would accomplish anything, she knew... but knowing that didn't change what she felt. One could almost hear the shrug in her voice, "I'll be at the park, if you'd like to join me."
Narcissus Silvercloud sighed softly as she started to get dressed. "Well, I would like to meet with you at the park. That's one of the things I really want to talk to you about. I'm getting ready in my apartment in Old Town. I can be there shortly."
Rhage Terasaur didn't wait on the traffic signals, this time, as she looked around the next intersection she came to. After waiting on the van that pulled out of the gas station to pass, she jogged across the road at an angle. The park gate was just ahead, the sound of the fountain greeting her as Narci spoke. "See you when you get here then," she answered, ending the call and slipping the phone back into her pocket. Glancing around she saw that the park was occupied... hmm. Might not be the best place for discussion, where sound could carry to ears that the voice hadn't intended to greet. But, it was neutral territory, so to speak. It would suffice. Rhage moved to the far side of the park, stretching out on one of the many benches. She unpacked her chili-cheese fries, disregarding the fork the kid had thrown in, and munched contentedly while she waited on Narci and let her gaze roam the park.
Narcissus Silvercloud nodded, "I'll be there soon." She hung after Rhage did. Arturius had all ready left. Narci hoped by the time she saw him again that her problems would be over. She pulled on her boots and grabbed up her keys and money just in case as she headed out the door. With quick steps, she moved down stairs to the front door of the apartment and out onto the street. Narci made no attempt to look around her at the street walkers around here as she headed off for the park.
Deoridhe Quandry looks up when the door swings open, only then noticing how dark it's grown. Muttering, she stretches and starts to pack up books, candy, and herself.
Rhage Terasaur purred as she finished off the plate of greasy fries, licking the messy chili-cheese mixture from her fingers. Easily seeing clearly in the darkness, she watched the woman on the other side of the park with mild interest. Anyone she was unfamiliar with was of interest to her, and as she stood to go throw her trash away in one of the garbage cans scattered through the park, she curiously studied the lady through peripheral vision before she retreated back to her bench, waiting.
Narcissus Silvercloud walked along the sidewalks with only the faint sound of her boots clicking on the sidewalk. That had grown quieter with her new found control. She came across the street from the park. Narci stood there a moment looking at the gates before she quickly crossed the street and lightly pushed open the gate and headed into the park as she looked around for Rhage.
Deoridhe Quandry shoulders her bag, heading for her gate without paying much attention to the other person there. She squints a little in the darkness, touching the silver around her neck self-consciously, then pushes the gate open with her shoulder and edging through. She's watching the ground almost superstitiously, as if it might trip her if she takes her eyes off of it.
Rhage Terasaur heard the quiet clicking of heels on the sidewalks, and turned to watch across the park walls as the younger woman approached. Her gaze was clear and her expression was unreadable, "Evening, Narci," she murmured when the new shifter was within hearing distance.
Narcissus Silvercloud looked over to Rhage when she heard her voice. She nodded to her and slowly walked towards her. Once she got closer, Rhage could see the light smile that was on her face. "Hello Rhage." She simply stood there a moment before speaking again. "I didn't have a chance to think on it before...but congratulations on becoming the Regina."
Rhage Terasaur studied Narci carefully. The way the woman moved, subtle nuances in her tone... it was a thorough once over. Again, her expression was unreadable as Narcissus moved closer. Better that way, she supposed, though one expertly groomed platinum brow lifted in amusement when Narci congratulated her, "Thank you," she said, not moving, "you wanted to speak to me?" She would hear the lioness out before saying anything herself.
Narcissus Silvercloud nodded as she took a slow breath seeming a bit tired. "The other night. I didn't mean to get as angry as I did with either of you. Izzy had said some things that made me angry. I have found that my anger is my weakness when it comes to shifting. After I went past that point...any little thing would set me off." The way she spoke made it sound like she had explained this a lot. "I really am sorry about getting that angry." Her words rang true. She really was regretful.
Rhage Terasaur listened to Narci speak, her expression not overly accommodating or agreeable. Narci's words weren't anything surprising. Any extreme emotion would tip the precarious balance the woman had on her control of her beast for a while yet. It did lean in her favor that she appeared to regret her actions though, not that it excused them. "How long have you been in town, Narci?" she asked, skipping over any coddling and assurances in regards to the other evening. It was yet to be seen how this scenario would play out.
Narcissus Silvercloud : "A very short while. Maybe a couple of days at the most."
Rhage Terasaur leaned back slightly, her brow rising again, "Certainly you can recall the precise number?" Perhaps she was being a bit of a bitch, but she was well within her rights to be pissed.
Narcissus Silvercloud took a slow breath as she got a distant look in her eyes while she tried to think. Her focus came back to Rhage, "I would say 3 or 4 days. I haven't kept a precise count lately. I've mostly been in my apartment save with a visit or two to the bar."
Rhage Terasaur's fingers drummed silently across the grey wash of her jeans, "You do realize, that the last word we had from Kaden was that you were content with the Las Vegas pride and would be remaining with them?" It would be interesting to hear why she had seemingly had a change of heart.
Narcissus Silvercloud sighed and nodded slowly. "Yes, I suppose that would be the last thing you both heard. However...as much as I was growing there and learning there...I felt a longing to at least come back here and visit for a short time. I didn't think I would be staying here very long."
Rhage Terasaur: "It is custom, to send ahead and inform the various pride, pack, pard, etc, of such visits, Narci. Surely Kaden wasn't remiss in his teaching?" Rhage had known both Kaden and Zoe to be excellent professors of their kind, or she wouldn't have suggested Narci spend time with them. Though, in retrospect, it was good that she had. An untaught, new shifter with no guidance would have been very bad indeed. Frowning, she recalled another comment, and tilted her head, "I presume, since you neglected to mention to any of us," us being the lions, "that you were in town and have since decided to prolong your stay indefinitely, that the Pride had no regard in your change of plans?" Curiosity had her wondering just what -had- made the lioness decide to return and stay. It was amusing and annoying that the woman still hadn't actually apologized for her behavior, nor had she requested permission to stay in the city.
Narcissus Silvercloud sighed as she looked down, "I'm sorry I didn't come to you guys or send word at all. That's my fault. As far as the Pride in Vegas knowing about this I had decided to wait on pending you and I speaking to each other. I didn't want to overstep again and presume that I'd be allowed to stay here."
Rhage Terasaur: Interesting. Hmm. It irked her that Narci couldn't or wouldn't meet her gaze. She was already sitting, quite casually, it wasn't as though her posture was threatening or haughty. "Okay," she began, "start from the beginning. Start with what you have learned with your time in Las Vegas, from control to things other than anger that you know will create friction when it comes to maintaining your beast." She wanted to know what she was dealing with, for one thing, and just how adept a student Narci had been in the last two months.
Narcissus Silvercloud slowly looked back up to her. She gave a nod. "All right. While I was in Vegas, they did find my anger was the key thing I had to work on controlling. And I have tried. Yet, it prefers to get the best of me. Other than my anger, I have been able to learn to control myself under all the other extreme emotions. When I don't get too angry, I don't shift till my time at the full moon."
Rhage Terasaur nodded. Anger was a common issue. And it was one difficult to overcome. It had been one of the first lessons she'd been forced to master. Unfortunately, it was also something that was very difficult to teach or learn. The student had to make their mistakes, and learn how to focus their anger... how to channel it into another emotion. For some it was channeled into fear. Fear of shifting at an inopportune time. For others it was love. The love of their beast and its strength and power. For others still, like Rhage and her father, it morphed into that quiet stillness that went beyond anger. It was focus in its purest form. Which, when you think about it, wasn't much better than anger. Amused at her thoughts, she sighed, "And what is going on with the Marshal, that ignited such anger?"
Narcissus Silvercloud sighed softly. "Unfortunately, I am not sure what ignited the Marshall's anger towards me. However, the accusations she heaped upon me were what triggered my anger. I don't know if she meant to anger me or if she was trying to run me off because of me asking if she was ok since she displayed some rather tense behavior at Fang Bangers when before she had been happy to see me."
Rhage Terasaur narrowed her eyes as she mulled over what had been said, "And what were the accusations placed upon you?" Damn Marshal, she thought. Seemed like they would have to have that little meeting after all. Or maybe not... It depended on Narci's response...
Narcissus Silvercloud : "Well, when I asked her how she was. She immediately got defensive in her responses that she was yelling at me. Which is why I made the assumption that something in the bar had upset her. She talked about how she didn't need someone to coddle her like a child. She didn't need someone to take care of her like that and she wouldn't have me doing it. And something along the lines of people never stayed with her cause she left them or they abandoned her or something. I got mad not knowing what brought this on. I raised my voice to tell her I wasn't planning on doing that to her. That out of all the people in the bar that had seen her getting upset I was the only one to go to her and see if she was ok. That I hadn't and wouldn't abandon her. That's when she grew even angrier and rose up from her seat and got into my face and screamed at me that I didn't know her that well enough. Asking where was I when she had been in the hospital after getting attacked and various things like that. Like the fact, I wasn't the one to come and help her in the hospital, that she hadn't seen me in far too long to even consider me her friend that hadn't abandoned her. When in actuality, I had been the one that found her in such a state in her home after she had been attacked and called for help. It angered me that she would say things like that when they weren't true."
Rhage Terasaur listened silently. She knew there were always two sides to any story, and while Narci may have been honest, there had to be more to the story than simply that. Hmm. Damnit. She would have to meet with the Marshal after all. Joy. "Do you plan on staying in Wood Bourne?"
Narcissus Silvercloud : "I would like to stay in Wood Bourne. If that's all right..."
Rhage Terasaur nodded, glancing up at the late night sky with a small frown. Sure, helicopters weren't an uncommon occurrence... but this late at night? Dismissing it, she turned back to Narci and stood, "Then, as Regina, I request a formal apology and declaration of submission. Following that, you will declare yourself submissive to the Nilch'itsoh." She wouldn't add just yet, that the Nilch'itsoh was her twin. Her glacier blue eyes waited, watching the younger woman intently...
Nickolai Nightfire preps the crew as the helicopter starts up and his men load the body, he injects a fresh does of serum before they leave and he pats Gage on the head. He then sits back and straps in as they take off for Woodbourne. After a long trip the pilot says over the com's that the city is three minutes away. The doctor at that moment tells his men to get Gage ready for the drop. He then leans in and smacks Gage across the face a few times to wake him from his unconscious rest, when his eyes would flutter open the men would grip him tight as the doctor would lean in and whisper in his ear “Remember Gage, I have taken your people again….we have gotten you again and we can get anyone anytime we wish.” He would chuckle and smile” there are much worse things than death” he grabs one of his men’s side arms and shoots Gage in the gut and kicks him out of the chopper which is hovering over the club
Hikaru Mekanic helped Aydryan upstairs and into the office and heard the chopper nearby but wasn't thinking much of it until he was easing Ayd onto the couch. Then the loud thud of something hitting the roof, his head looking to the ceiling as if he could see through it. "You wait here ami... rest... I will check it out."
Nikki Robbins had made it back downstairs to the bar. She had watched the Masters head up then once in the bar she watched Dodge leave. Part of her wondered what they had done but the other part that did not want to know won out. Nikki simply headed over to the bar nearest to the dance floor and helped out Jeanette with a few things with the bar now empty.
Gage Wheeler 's eyes go wide as he is shot and then as he falls he struggles to land in some form that might not hurt him as much. But he was so weak even in the air it was hard to move. The top of a building came up quick as he hit it with a thud and he actually cried out in pain as he felt some of his bones break, with that and the bullet in his gut, things did not look good for him
Hikaru Mekanic paused for one thing before he left, going to the desk he pulled out a cell phone, one of Aydryan's many, tossing it against the cushion of the couch beside him. "You should call Jenna to come get you." He glanced to the ceiling again, his brow furrowing. "I have a bad feeling about this." he rifled through the desk again and pulled out his thigh sheathes, strapping them on before going to the couch to give Ayd a long lingering kiss, reassuring him that he would be careful as he always was, not much of a condolence, but it was the best he could do, then exited the office and began climbing the stairs.
Serenity Terasaur slid the key into the lock on the door to the Book Shop with a soft sigh, clicking it home rather happily before replacing the keys back into her purse and slinging it over her shoulder. Had she remembered to arm the alarm? She thought about it and gave a short nod, check. The feline turned on her stiletto heel, clicking her way across the street to the opposite side of the road, rounding the corner of a massive brick building, white blue gaze taking in the shadowed road before her, she could just make out the old Fang Bangers with what little light the street lights had provided. Moments into her walk the obnoxiously loud sound of a helicopter was heard, the actual copter itself flying over town toward the old area, causing the panwere to frown somewhat…what was a helicopter doing flying at this time of night? Then she caught the Military logo and rolled her eyes, probably some special training or something. With another soft sigh she continued on her journey, having received a text from her twin earlier about the meeting with Narci…though Ser originally hadn’t planned on crashing it, now she didn’t really feel like going home, so she tugged out her iPhone, hitting speed dial number one to call her twin…perhaps a trip to the bar, chocolate had been invading her mind all day long. She’d slide her hand down her silk clad thighs as she walked, the clicking of her heels echoing eerily in the night around her as she made her way towards the park, the ringing of her phone the only other noise she could hear as she waited on her twin to answer.
Narcissus Silvercloud took a slow breath and gave a single nod. She lowered herself into a kneel as she bowed her head to Rhage. "I sincerely apologize for the wrongs I have done against both you the Regina and your sister and I declare that I am submissive to you." Narci stayed as she was.
Rhage Terasaur nodded, "Welcome, un-officially, to the pride then." The musical ringing of her phone had her fishing into a pocket again as she spoke, "You won't be a full fledged pridemate until you repeat the declaration to the Rex and others." Glancing at the caller ID, she saw her twin's number and answered, despite the fact that she was in the middle of a conversation with Narci, "Hey Ser, what's up?" she asked, glancing in the direction of where the helicopter had sped away. She frowned again though, at the faint scent of blood in the air... wait a second... was it? Itching to find the source of that scent, she covered the receiver and spoke to Narci, "You're welcome to move back into the house, of course. Please excuse me," she nodded again to the younger woman and stepped around her, headed for the gates, "Where are you sissy?" she asked, debating on which way was best to go... the wind could be shifting... carrying that scent from any of several directions...
Narcissus Silvercloud rose back up and nodded. She didn't say anything else as she watched Rhage move off. Narci took a slow breath as she started back for the gate. For now, she'd head back to her own apartment.

Rhage had known both Kaden and Zoe to be excellent professors of their kind, or she wouldn't have suggested Narci spend time with them.
