James Binks-Rakosi was done for the night. DONE! and he had his wallet and a cookie and he was good to go! He waved to Miss maddy on his way out of the cnady store and felt.. better. The past few days had been rather strange for him and reminiscent of his life outside the city. He didn't like it. The fear. It scared him to live a life of hiding. He stood there in front the candy store and hugged the leather bound book he was toting about like a plushie. He tried talking about it to Miss Maddy, but she didn't listen to him too intently. But he was excited. It was a book on a part of himself he wish he knew. He wanted to know. In some small way that part would make him better and happier in life. It had to. It jsut had to!
Denalius stepped around the corner of the alleyway. His frame emerged from the shadows of it like a hulk and his unkept hair added to an image of savagery. His eyes were squinted into the night, head looking this way and that as he noticed both man and woman about the same time from his spot on the sidewalk. The candy shopp smelled good, and the dude looked like a kid that just spent 5 bucks in it. This brought a grin to his face as he looked back to the woman. It was the blind chick from the other night, the one with the bloody nose. Come to think of it, the dude was the one she bled on. He stood there a moment, giving her a smile before realizing she couldn't see it. Damn, too bad to cuz she was just standing there in the street. This looked awful familiar, deja vu even as he remembered her slur of curses the last time she wandered about in the streets.
James Binks-Rakosi turned and made his way out towards the park, humming to himself as he still worshipped teh book in his arms. Strange though, in his book worshipping he was still paying close attention to the traffic signs and pedestrian crosswalks, being extremely sure not to disobey a cross law. Of course, his 'light' was red, and though no cars really drove by he stood there and patiently waited for his green to come his way.
James Binks-Rakosi slipped into the park and sprawled out across the first open bench he could find. He kicked his feet up wiggling them in the air as he lay on his belly and read opened his book to the most recent chapter he was on. "Once a fae has given their word, they are honour-bound to keep it. An oath-breaker may be punished by death. However, careful wording of oaths can allow 'loopholes', so one should take care when asking for promises from the fae..." he read aloud as he knew no one was really around, and mostly because hearing the words felt more real to him. Closer to home or so he hoped.
Deoridhe swings the gate to the park open, attention more on her malt than the park, a white bag hanging fromt he same hand that's holding the styrofoam cup. Her other hand has a journal - Jade green - and she's whacking it against her thigh as she walks, making a rhythm that she's walking to. Or making a rhythm to how she's walking. It's hard to tell the difference, sometimes.
James Binks-Rakosi waggled his feet in the air as he continued to whisper read the vook to himself. After each 'interesting' tidbit of information. He'd pause and try to draw out the similarities in himself. Most... didn't work quite right, but he could be hopeful! "... my hands are powerful...." He looked downat his palm, flexing his fingers out as he tried to recrete the power in it. "YES!! they are powerful.. they can do many.. many powerful handy things. I know it." What exactly that was... seemed to be out of reach of his flexing fingers.
Deoridhe collapses on the bench, rustling out her wrapped sandwich and thunking her journal down rather as if it and she were no longer friends. It's a moment, therefore, one involving biting and chewing and various 'MMmmmmMMMmmm" sounds, that she notices that - once again - someone else is in the park. She peeks, curiously, having gotten used to think of the place as her own personal playground in a busy city.
James Binks-Rakosi blinked as he noticed the sound of the park gate open and shut. From this, he found a new point. Point A: the lady with fantastic plastic wings of her own design... in the bench near him.. while he was making Hands f Power wiggly hands is overflowing with the power of mmmMMMmmm. He blushed and wiggled his fingers jsut a tad more. "...work, power hands... works!..." this lead to point B. Binky's hands of power hands...were made of serious fail.
Deoridhe giggles a little when she sees who it is and what he's doing. "She wriggles her fingers too, though she's still Mmmmming. "I think if you do that long enough, it casts Assio Chocolate and you get, like, a chocolate castle to live in." She has a bit of cheese on her cheek from the source of the MMmmmmMMMmmmm.
James Binks-Rakosi frowned at that and placed his hands upon the book. "oh... that's not good..." He couldn't imagine what living in a chocolate castle would be like.. well.. he could. He saw it once on a movie called charlie and the chocolate factory. that man didn't live well either.
Deoridhe licks her lips. "It would be delicious. You could invite everyone over and have a HUUUUGE party and bring in, like, a tanker of milk. It would be AWESOME." She takes another bite of eggie sandwich, wiping at her mouth with her hand, then licking her hand. "I mean, it owuld be too much for just one person to eat, right? So it would have to be a party."
James Binks-Rakosi blinked gently and sat up on his bench seat. he closed his book drawing it to his chest to hug. He still asn't... sure of the idea and part of him worried he was being picked on. he never could tell those things. He gave her a polite smile and a simple shrug to avoid anything bad happening.
Deoridhe blushes. "Oh, sorry, um. I'll shut up and stop bothering you!" She tucks her legs up, taking another bite of eggie sandwich and resting her chin on her knees as she chewed. This caused her head to move up and down with each chew.
James Binks-Rakosi sat there in his silence a really long time. just sat there watching her and hugging his bood like it was his most beloved of plushies. COnversation, even light ones.. jsut were not good for him. He felt out of place. He felt weird.. He felt like he should get up and run and then apologize. or was that the other way around? He frowned as jsut thinking of what to do or say was becming one of the greater challenges in his life.
Deoridhe finishes her sammich while Bink considers the deeper implications of all possible social choices given a strange girl on a nearby bench. She balls up the bag and napkins, savoring her malt while she pulls open her notebook and scowls at it. "It should be illegal to make people write things down to be looked at!" she declares to no one in particular and she hunts for the pocket in her dress which holds the elusive and magical Four Color Pen.
James Binks-Rakosi the silence was rather anticlimatic. and confusing. People would be still trying to talk to him or bug him. Odd... she just... did her own thing. So he tried to as well. He opened the book and flipped it to his stopping point and tried to read. he got through one sentence and glanced over a ther, then read another glance dover... then read.. and glanced... read...glanced...Finally he just snapped the book shut. "...thi so isn't working out..." Apparantly the lack of interacting but knowing people were there was jsut as bad as the chatty crowds. He bobbled his head and stood up, craddlign his bookas he shuffled to the park gate to open it up for leaving.
Deoridhe has started writing - oddlynot the curving script of English, but something angular. SHe's giggling a little to herself as she writes, only glancing up when the gate creaks. "Oh, you're leaving?" she asks. "Well, um, nice to see you again, and stuff. Sorry I disturbed you - I didn't mean to."
James Binks-Rakosi opened the gate and tensed as Deo spoke. He stood there, holding it open and bobbled his head, ".. i.. I know you didn't. I'm just easily disturbed. its easy to disturb me when one's already made that way." He gave a faint smile to her as a parting. "Enjoy the writing."
Deoridhe wrinkles her nose. "It's homework. But, um... we still have that ice cream and steak date, right? Or should I just... I mean, not bug you anymore. Like, if you'd rather not be talked to I can do that, but it seems like you're kinda lonely, and I know it's rude for me to go all 'He needs a friend' and try to be one, but I kinda do that sometimes even though it's rude, but if you really don't like it I can stop even though it seems like you could use a friend, but I mean it's not like I KNOW you or anything, I'm just thinking and stuff like that. Yeah."
James Binks-Rakosi squinted as he tried to recall what she was talking about on the steaks and icecream, but then he remembered. "ooh... that wasn't part of my dreams..." he blushed faintly. "I guess so. I have jehan. He's my friend and my husband. I .. I call Jerusalem my friend, but I only met her my fourth day in town and she tried to mug me when she first met me..." he shrugged and lowered his head, " i guess that's notm uch of a friend, but i don't keep friends. They tend to abuse me too much so...I try and avoid people and save what asanity i have, you know!" he tried to make it sound normal.. its just a silly sanity thing.. that's all. "But thank you.... just... know I don't do well with people. Ever."
Deoridhe tilts her head a little. "Well, um... yeah. I guess, I mean, yeah, that's tough. I know I'm annoying, so I'll just leave you alone since you seem to want it, but if you ever change your mind, you know, um. Well, goodnight." She tucks her legs up, arms wrapped around her knees and book pressed precariously against her dress front.
"yes... i have your card!" He had placed it in the same pocket Jenna's had been. He had almost thought she could have been a friend too, but... it wouldn't work out, "So.. yeah... i gues.. night..." he left it at that as he stepped out of the park and closed the door quietly behind him. he turned from her and breathed out a sigh of relief and walked down the street. He made it all the way to the street corner and began to cross it when he remembered something. And jsut like that, he turned on his heels and scampered back to the gates of the park to open them and peer 'in' on her. Not that he couldn't have leaned over the bushes. that would have been rude! "I don't normally offer my wrist to vampires... so you know.. it.. it's not a habit..."
Deoridhe jumps when Bink comes scurrying back. Nervy thing, isn't she? "Oh, um... well, I didn't figure so," she says, tangling her words up dreadfully, "but I mean, even if you did, like, I mean, its not for me to judge, you know? I mean, your blood, your veins and stuff. And they need the support, right? And some of them seem really nice, even if others are like MONDO size jerkfaces, so.... ok."
James Binks-Rakosi nodded gently, " i know.. but.. i'm a one man vein giver!!" he chirped the words as it raised his hand and book into the air shaking it with the righteousness of his words!... kinda. Lowering both hadn and book to cradle agaisnt him he shrugged. "..yeah.. so.. i'm just going to go now..." he blushed faintly as though he just figured out book shakin' righteousness may not have been the route to go.
Deoridhe giggles. She can't help it. "I will remember!" she promises. "But I'll let you tell people 'cause no one should have to miss the shaking hands of clearing-that-up!!!" She claps her hands, getting ink on her fingers.
James Binks-Rakosi blushed more. and knew jsut how unrighteous, righteous book-shaking was. He hung his head in shame and stepped back, closing the gate behind him. He too a pause to stare down at his hands. He had gloves on and thanks to that, his fingers were safe from the itchy sensation wrought iron would have left him! Yeah, he learned teh glvoe trick from Jehan, but he wasn't about to share that tonight, Not after the book-shaking.
Deoridhe tilts her head, resting her cheek on her fist and daring inky lips as she watches Bink leave. Again. Wondering if he'll come back for a reprise, and sort of hoping he will, but really she should just leave him alone and not meddle. Not meddling is good, right? Leaving people alone, just doing her thing, not getting involved, not knowing all the juicy secrets and interesting happenings, being out of the loop and bored and sad. Yeah, that was the plan.
Well...it wasnt normal to be walking around with three gallons of candy in a sac, or a brown kitten with green eyes in your vest pocket....but..what WAS normal any more? Although..Remi was kinda getting attached to the little fur he'd temperarilly named Kiani. He'd spent the night in search of a certain not so 'insane and frightfuly flailing' blonde. And good lord...was that HIM! Yeeees finally! "Bink?" and...that was a very untimely time for his 'nipple' to meow"
James Binks-Rakosi turned to leave, literlaly taking a step and nearly walked right into HIM. Yes, that fearful him that throughout the ages people fear as the HIM of all things bad and well... bad. the HIM was... carrying candy! like the HIM of the ages tended to do... heck.. it was apples for Eve! and... and boxes for Pandora! Blasted HIM... toting candy to tempt souls with. Bink though could only stare wide eyed, like a deer caught in a headlight of an 18-wheeler. He hoped the attack fo words and snarls would be quick.. pratyed that his salvation would come to kick him.. or fluff at him. Jehan was known to fluff on occassion... but no.. nothing happened save for the siren call of a distance and timid name call.. his name.. into the mists of HIMness.. and a meow. "...I didn't know the devil meowed..."
Deoridhe wouldn't have missed this for the WORLD. She turns over on the bench, proping her journal against the top of it and peering over the wall at Remiel and his ...mewing? "I didn't know vampires grew cats." She knew she shouldn't say it - really, really she knew, but ...she couldn't help it. The words were out long before her frontal cortex gibbered something about scary mewing vampires and not waking dragons. Then she giggles. Not helping.
"Devil?" Well, that was either accurate or insulting...but in either case. "The devil doesnt meow." Eye twitching he dropped the sac of candy...(He thought he was more like Santa clause!!!!) onto the cement infront of the little fae. And...said side walk CHIPPED from the force of said candy. "Here. It's for you." But hearing a giggle he turned a venomouse look over to Deo. "Why dont you go see imaginary squiggles and rainbows." He hissed....which caused his nipple to 'cling' huh...Devil didnt meow...but he did seem to dance farely well..."
James Binks-Rakosi stared down at all the fallen candy. ".. thank you, but I don't want anything from you." He stepped back, careful to have only the clothed parts of him hit that gate. "I don't understand you and your bite made me feel guilty... and I almost died.. I think.. with that guilty feeling conscious... and... well.... You're mean, and selfish... and... and you don't like me anyway because i'm weak and all that... and I don't fight peoples but break down and cry.. kinda like I want to now... but.. you don't need to know that.. but I'm sure you know anyway...." He inhaled then and gave a nervous and paniced half laugh. "And you scare me so much.. I even don't make sense in my own head."
Deoridhe goes from giggling to red faced and disturbed in an instant, pushign herself out of the bench with unnecessary force. "You don't have any rainbows," she retorts, heading away from both of them with rather more speed than dignity. Her steps skip a little when she hears Bink's laugh - that isn't a happy sound but ...she's not meddling. Her fears around what she sees are a fragile souffle of grief and rage, and she doesn't need the airy froth of pretend to collapse before she's psychotic enough to not care.
"Ow you little shit..." Going in his vest pocket Remiel pulled out little Kiani by the scruff and huffed at him before looking over at Bink. "Your not supposed to understand me, I'm quite alright with that, as for your guilt, I cant change that. I cant make you feel a certain emotion or even fix them. In the moment is what let the bite feel good or allow it to hurt. You said you hurt enough all the time. So I let it feel good instead, my bite will almost always undoubtedly do that, it wont matter where I bite or when. As for you dieing, I highly doubt it....I...I wouldnt let you die.." He hadnt...though he took that much blood..."And yes, Imm mean and selfish." Maybe not always but he couldnt change a more then half truth. "Not like you? When did I ever say I didnt like you? I never said so, in fact, I've only ever tried to ever talk to you and have been rejected each time. I enjoyed your company for the most part." At 'I dont make sense in my own head' his brow lifted...oh...he had a feeling the kid was mostly nuts 24/7 and his head never made sense...but he'd leave that alone for now and just bobbled a fluffball the scruff infront of Bink. "Ok fine....no candy...what about fuzzy?" Huh..this seemed like an odd day 'Here little boy....you want candy and little kittens?'"
James Binks-Rakosi blinked and looked at this wiggling and rather confused kitten. It was frightened and hungry.. yet it wasn't hissing at Remiel.. unless he did something hiss like himself. "He... he likes you." It as a statement of curiousity as he reached forward to take the wriggling kitten from him. "...why.. why are you getting me things then... "
Deoridhe keeps on walking, almost running, and goes through the other gate with barely a pause.
Remiel Labou: Gave a rather disarming charmming smile as Bink took the kitten and he reached to scritch it with a single finger under the chin...his grin widdening when it purred. "I like him too." Still it turned to a scowl soon as he pulled back, and he even looked a bit confused. "Because I feel bad...that I made you feel that way. It was an accident." Well..it was a Remi appology."
James Binks-Rakosi blinked and pulled the little Kitten close. even as it purred it seemed content to gnaw on his glvoed fingers. "...i'mMarried." he announced in his whisper. "To a vampire. You know him. And... you made me feel... and think things of you I should because I'm married. That Hurt." He fingers wriggled against the tiny kitten until it just drifted into a kitten sleep in his hands. "Jehan told me everythign I felt was a trick you have... like all vampires.. that have mind tricks and things. I've been abused and rolled enough times that I can't remember what parts of my mind are dreams and what's real anymore... its a bit.. permanent... this confusion always in me... I don't like to be added to it... so next time when I offer my wrist, take my wrist. Don't kiss me without my permission."
“No...I know 'of' him, I do not 'know' him." He probably knew less about Jehan then Bink, Ayd and Hikaru. "Its not so much a trick...but it is a capability. I would rather give pleasure then pain to those I bite. I did not make you forget anything...I just made you feel good." He ran his hand threw his bangs. "I can avoid your lips Bink, that easy enough of a request...but my bite...is usually like that.""
"oh... well.. I wil think on that..." the kitten hissed at then both then wriggled back to sleep. It was enough to startle bink. He looked down at it and smiled faintly. "Are you sure it didn't grow out of you...?" he gave a half smile and held the kitten close. ".. thank you. I... I've never had a pet before."
".....I breed kittens." He was kidding of course but he said it with a straight face. "I thought you might like him. Your...welcome." He murmered. "I will leave you to your piece then Good evening." And he left the candy there too."
James Binks-Rakosi blinked, as did a mostly sleepy kitten as the vampire just... left. He looked down at the kitten and the kitten up at him. then together they looked out asfter the retreating vampire. "...you're breeder's not so bad after all.... rarely...." he chuckled, smiling to the shadowed form as he turned too, grabbign the bag of candy and then slipped off to 'home'.
Denalius stepped around the corner of the alleyway. His frame emerged from the shadows of it like a hulk and his unkept hair added to an image of savagery.
