James Binks-Rakosi stood across the street from the shop Jehan had rented. His chin was raised as he stared up over the awning. People that passed by stopped on occassion to look up as he stood motionlessly in that raised look. He was smiling, though no one else could see why. Some did gasp in mild offense. Others walked around Bink. A few even waved their arms in front his face and poked his arm to ask what was going on. But He didn't answer. He just smiled. It wasn't until he got a break in this curious look from people that he said anything at all. " ...Prick..." He was reading the sign about Jehan's Shop. It was rather exciting, a new store was born.
James Binks-Rakosi finally came back inside and grabbed a pillow from the couch to the floor. While Jehan was busy drawing out the custom sign For his store and not the bright snazzy one that was gifted to him, Bink.... decided to make a sign of his own. So he borrowed a sheet from Jehan's tablet and his paints and when to marking his territory so to speak. He even went out of his way to get his own tack.... Slapping his masterpiece on the odd bookcase, Bink corner on the floor, beaming up at his piece of art that simply said in blue wording "Bink's Corner".
James Binks-Rakosi was giggling and making quite the mess as he painted away. after several redos and a few placed out final pieces later, Bink squeaked gleefully as his latest masterpiece was finished. He held up the sheet and hugged it, sitting up to crawl over to where Jehan sat. "I'm done!" he chirped out as he held out the sheet for Jehan to take. "I made it jsut for you!"
James Binks-Rakosi cleared his throat then and pointed back to the bookcases, "And... I made drawings too... for Zoe and Mr. Hikaru and Mr. Aydryan... there's is joint, an I made one for Remiel." He smiled gently and sat back on his own legs. "You think we can go and deliver them all later when you're done working...?"
James Binks-Rakosi ran on ahead of Jehan, huffing and puffing as he tried to make the strolling vampire go faster to get to Fang Bangers. He was smiling as he ran until he came into eye view of Tao. That man was... huge! So were the size of Bink's eyes as he stared up at him. Tao smirked and gave Bink a friendly nod only to see him pale and scamper back to the safety of Jehan. No sound.. jsut a turn and run! Tao shook his head at the littler man, This was a regular meet and greet at the doorway to FangBangers.
Jehan had to fight to not laugh at the display even as he draped an arm about Bink. " you know he is here to protect you and he does a very good job else he would not be in the position that he is in." lifting his free hand in greeting he led Bink around the few people gathered and into the club .
James Binks-Rakosi hung his head as he held onto his precious paintings. "...but.. he's so.. HUGE!" was all he could say. He peered back to the Door. Tao was peering back at him with that soft smirk. Apparantly he found Bink's antics amusing too, He looked forward and clugn to Jehan until they got far in enough for him not to think about the tall security man. "Oh! I need to see if Miss Zoe and Mr. Hikaru or Mr. Aydryan are here!"
Jehan moved over to the bar even as he glanced back at Bink and chuckled at his precious cargo . " We can ask alejandro. Good bartenders know all sorts of things."
Deoridhe has pretty much given up on trying to drink, considering herself cursed. She stretches out on the couch, glad the night is quieter, and just tries to lose herself in the music and not... move... at all.
James Binks-Rakosi stepped up to the bar and waved to Alejandro, "Heyla Sir!" He chirped. " I was wonderin-... oh... um thank you?" He hadn't even gotten the chance to ask his question on people location when he was handed 'his drink'. He was so surprised by this.. he almost forgot he wanted to ask anything at all. He was gulping away and then... it hit him! like the BAM! charge of his drink! "OH!! Question!" He slammed his crink o nthe counter and bounced up in down, waving his arms above his head with the precious cargo. "I need to find Mr. Hikaru and Mr. Aydryan if they aren't too busy. I can wait and all.. but I have something I want to give them! and.. Miss Zoe.. have you seen her? She's... well... sort and she wears plastic wings!"
Jehan grinned quite happily as he watched the joyous bink. And why not.. it was such a tastey meal and he didn't even have to touch him though he did have to be standing quite close... this close even . He smiled up to the tender and offered a slight shrug even as he passed over some money for Bink's drink and then some.
Deoridhe sighs a little, very carefully, almost as if she's afraid to breath too hard because plaster from the ceiling might fall on her. She doesn't hear her name - she's not hearing much, to be honest, besides the drum of the music. One hand - itself speckled with bruises and with a Hello Kitty bandaid on the finger - is rubbing rhythmically over the scrape on her temple as if enough rubbing might rub it off.
James Binks-Rakosi alejandro took the money and winked playfully at Jehan as he turned to pass the info to Jeanette. That woman knew how to fidn the Masters on a dime! and a second.. and in the dark! all sorts of places. Finding the Masters of hte City was Jeanette's job it seemed. Alejandro returned to tell them both that word was being sent to each that Bink wanted to see them and he even wuoted back 'but there is no rush if they are busy, he said he could wait.' and he refilled Bink's glass, ruffled his hair again and sent the boy on hsi way to the chaise lounge towards a wingless Zoe.
Nebecanezer Voskhod returned for the seconded night in a row to this place. Having been able to find rest from a long travel. Quietly the dark figure made his way into the club, past folks talking about the Cities masters. They were on his good side, thou before he stopped...single, irisless oval found the image of the femme laid out on the couch. No more than a meer moment granted to each of them before coming to land that good eye on a poster. A slight tilt of head to the side brought on an array of day dreams. Soft, slight manical, was the light utterance. Hmmm...day two? should we cause trouble yet, or float in the waters a bit longe?. Poor yurick, will we never know the answers to such sweet questions?
Jehan shook his hair back a bit and adjusted that hat as he looked the direction the tender pointed and nodded," WEll that one was easy there Bink. Looks like she even has plenty of time for you .
Deoridhe closes her eyes, her hand continuing it's gentle moment on her temple, tyring to pay attention to the music and not the aches here and there - like her wrist, which had been wrenched a few times in a few different falls - or her ankles, one of which had a healthy bruise on it. She seems utterly unaware of being a target of quests or attention.
James Binks-Rakosi came scampering up to deo holding up the papers of precious cargo he had previously been brandishing in the air like flags. "Miss Zoe!! Miss Zooooe!" He hopped before her, scaring a few of the other club goers. Others paid Bink no mind. they were wuite used to him by now. "I made you something! where's your wings! Are you sick? You need soup. I make good soup but I can't here i na club. there is no oven." He rambled as he shifted through the papers to set one on her lap. "I made this for you. all by myself... with Jehan's own paintbrushes!"
Jehan had to blink as Bink rambled off. It was so common most didnt pay him any mind but still you never knew when good information would come out of it so he did listen to him . Tilt of head as he approached and considered her state . there was a faint crease between brows as he considered all the bruises on her.
Deoridhe sits up, startled, when Bink bounces over to her and ...manages to hit herself in the eye. "Ow...." She uses the offending hand to cover her eye, then, smiling at Bink. "Oh, Bink, hi! Um..." and there are papers and she looks at it, nervousely, keeping her hands away for fear it will rip when she touches it. "Oh Bink, that's so cute!" she exclaims. "Um... my wings kept catchign on things, and I broke one of them when I put them on, so I decided to leave them at home," she explains. "I've been.... I guess i must be sick, or something." She smiles, weakly. dropping her hand from her eye; above her eyebrow is a little fingernail-shaped-cut.
Aydryan looked up when Jeanette came to him with the message from Bink. Smiling, he continued his paperwork, nodding to her. It only took him a few moments longer to conclude his business and then he slowly made his way down the stairs in search of the bright young man. However, his search didn't last long as he came around the corner and nearly ran into both Bink, Jehan and Deo lounging upon the couch. "Evening Friends....How can I help you Bink?"
James Binks-Rakosi perked up as he heard Aydryan's voice. he turned, blushing brightly as he sucked in his breath and stuck out another picture for him. "I made you a picture! Jehan gave me paints and let e use his brushes.. so I wanted to make people stuff and thank them.. but I can't paint that well." He chuckled faintly anyway.. this one is for you and Mr. Hikaru." He was wriggling a bit in place, the excitement of his odd bit of gift giving sweet enough to rot teeth fro ma distance.
Jehan smiled crookedly ," Had to get him his own paints. The oils would never do. Iwould be scrubbing him for days. Not that that would be such a bad thing .
Aydryan accepted the painting from Bink and held it up, studying it most seriously. Then a very warm real smile formed as he looked up at Bink. His voice held the same warmth laced with affection for the young man, "This is quite lovely, Bink. Thank you very much for sharing your talent with Hikaru and I. We will hang it up proudly." He turned his gaze to Jehan, still smiling.
Deoridhe giggles, shifting to look at them all and lean against the wall, accidentally banging her head against the wall. She winces, eyes closing and shoulders hunching, but stubbornly refuses to make a sound. As soon as she can manage it, her eyes are open and she's smiling again, touching Bink's paper with extremely - some might almost say paranoidedly carefully - fingers. "I love it, Bink," she says. "I can't wait to show Ted, Keaniez, Katat0nik, and Prince Caspian." She tugs at ehr skirts, tyring to cover the worst of the bruises on her legs, only then catching sight of the Hello Kitty bandaids on the backs of her calves.
James Binks-Rakosi jerked his head to the head bang of the non-metal kind and frowned, "Miss Zoe! are you.. ok? He furrowed his brow as he took in all the many many ....boo-boos she carried upon her flesh. "You look like you had a run in with a bad vampire. You havne't bled alot have you?" He gasped "Oh!! you need soem orange juice and cookies forthe blood loss. I can ask Alejandro for you!!" He was already turning to bolt to the bar, one paper artwork still in his hands... with his current drink.
Jehan patted Bink's shoulder fondly ." And ther eyou go again love. Making people smile." he nodded a bit and then was left mid speech as Bink bolted away. he snorted softly," I think he is a battery today. That or I am feeding him back too much energy . Everytime I think I have had my fill he bounces up again.
Vas walks in looking around as her eyes adjust to the darkness. She was just about to talk to the bartender, sucking her many piercings on her lower lip, slightly nervous though trying to look the tough girl just as she's almost run over by the guy bolting to the bar. "Well damn.."
Deoridhe begins, weakly, "No, I'm fine Biii...." and he's off. She carefully moves the paper away ffrom her - like someone might handle a ming vase - wincing and jerking her hand away when it almost seems like she's going to rip it. Once it's safely outside of the - she hopes - danger zone, she relaxes and turns to smile after Bink. "He makes me feel better just by being around," she agrees, adding, "I wanted to appologize, Jehan. I didn't take good care of Bink last night. I'm really sorry."
James Binks-Rakosi slammed his drink on the counter, which hardly make a clinking sound and started blurting out to Alejandro for orange juice and cookies for Miss Zoe. Alejandro never let Bink finish. he just stuffed a cookie in his mouth, mushed his hair and turned the boy back around to go back to his corner. 'next time I swat your bum! stop bowling over the customers!' The bartender laughed and winked at Bink before moving on to the others that needed their drinks and services.
Jehan lifted a hand to his face as he shook his head then looked back to Zoe with a slight arch of brown," He has come home to me safe. I suppose that is all that I can ask. I cannot keep him safe from everything unless I cage him and what good would that do him. I brought him here to give him a chance to live afterall
Vas held her fist tighter around the strap of her little shoulder bag while her other hand carelessy tossed hair that looked koolaide red out of her face. "First day in a new town and someone already wants to knock me down. Nice place." She looks the blonde up and down as if trying to figure out what his problem was but couldn't help giggling at the cookie crammed into his mouth.
Deoridhe shrugs a little. "Well, you asked me to tak... oh wait,t hat was a few days ago, wasn't it." She rubs her forehead, closing her eyes a little. "Sorry, I think I'm a little out of it."
Aydryan smiled as Bink bolted for the bar, then turned back to simply listen to Jehan and Deo. He did take that moment to study Deo, noting the strain and other little things painted on her face. The idea that the woman was sick or upset was clearly detectable. "Are you alright?"
James Binks-Rakosi blinked wide eyed to the red ahired woman as he began to speak to her, "nnurgh mrrph mrrph!" The cookie jsut added to his reason. He sighed and pulled thecookie from his mouth, hanging his head shamefully as he held himself, the last picture gift, hs bitten cookie and his drink all in his arms. Cozy palce that was. "...I'm sorry Miss... i... i forgot people are here. Sorry... so sorry..." He went immediately into his standard shy 'ohmygoodness!' people mode. Shoving the cookie back into his mouth and scampered ackwardly to bump into Jehan's backside, hiding his face as he tried to catch back up with the other's conversation.
Jehan nods as he looks her over and gestures to the injuries even as Aydryan asks the question he was going to." I think you are the one needing taking care of now.
Deoridhe tries to smile, shifting a little uncomfortably and tugging her skirt down again. There is a soft *riiiip* sound and she goes a little pale except for the scrape marks on her face and her bright pinks cheeks. She doesn't look down, tucking the seam of her skirt over a couple of times nervously. "I seem to me a Murphy's Law zone," she finally says. "Hopefully it'll wear off." She pulls a small scrap of cheap paper with beads on it out of her cleavage and says, "I bought a luck charm!"
Vas blinked and cocked her head to the side, not sure what to think of the hyper guy. She shakes her head, rubbing the back of it, only rumpling her wild red hair some more as she turns to the bar tender. "This isn't one of those places where if you ask for water you get hung from the rafters by your boots is it?" She looked around a little at the large empty club, sucking on her piercings again.
James Binks-Rakosi squeaked suddenly and set the glass in his hand o nthe ground. "the picture!!" He hopped in place, blowing on it as he noticed the edge of it had gotten wet fro mteh moisture of the glass. "nononon... this is special..." He whined and tenderly rolled the picture up. He stuffed it into a pocket of his jacket and glared down at th cup. "bad driiink!" He huffed as he picked the drink up too. Now.. he was ready to focus. "That is too much owies to be just a bad day Miss Zoe..... did you eat troll toes...? Or bat wings! or break a mirror?"
Hikaru made his way down the stairs reaching into his pocket when his phone rang and pulling it out, his eyebrows rising at the sight of caller ID on it. He moved over, giving the group a smile and nod while lifting the phone to his ear and leaning back against the wall. "Hikaru."
Vas takes the water the bartender offered her, perking a brow as his fingers slid over hers before moving to the next customer. She took a slow sip, her piercing making a slight clang against the glass as she turns a little to watch the small group, looking now and then to the newcomer, curious to find out about the people here.
Jehan made a face at Bink and asked" Troll toes? I dont think I have heard that one." Looking back to Deo he smiled crookedly , " Now see I would have asked if you had upset any Travellers. but I am the only one I know in the area . Though I have not been looking. So I dont think you did that.
Deoridhe can't help it; Bink's questions make her giggle. "I went on a date," she replies, grinning. "Not with a traveller, either, that I know of. With this cute Cajun kid name Cirus. Must have upset the balance of the universe, so now I have to suffer until I'm one, giant bruise." She rubs the long one across her chest from the curtain falling on her last night. "Obviously I need to stay single forever," she finishes with a wink.
Hikaru tilted his head forward then lifted again when Deo mentioned Cirus, his brows remaining up. "I had not expected to hear from you tonight. How is your head? I hope that you weren't hurt too badly."
James Binks-Rakosi blinked to the name and reached down to pet the picture tucked into his pocket. "Cirus...?" he asked softly, "remiel mentioned that he had a Pomme named Cirus...oh!" He gasped then and SLOWLY crept to the side of Jehan.. the one opposite the Masters. "....oh... one time.. a few days ago...when I last saw him... because its really, been quite a while...."
Hikaru frowned slightly "Hm. I told him. He was worried about you. But I have to ask... Why hide this from him? Being a Pomme is not something to be ashamed of. It is far from a dirty little secret. You should be proud of it." He smiled warmly when Aydryan turned and spotted him however.
Jehan glanced down at Bink and bit back the sigh that he nearly voiced. Laying a hand on Bink's shoulder as he leaned close though he knew that even a whisper would be easily heard," You know Bink...most can tell lies.. especially from you .
Deoridhe smiles a little, wryly. "Same guy," she tells Bink. "He explained about this weird thing I saw, where it seemed like Remiel was hurting him? Seems they argue a lot, which you know I can kind of understand. I really need to apologize to Remiel when I get the chance; I really did him wrong, you know? He'll probably never forgive me or anything, but I have to appologize." Her eyes drop to the bracelet on her wrist and she plays with it a little. "Cirus is sweet, though, even if he does have those weird mudd... uh seems a little haunted. He gave me this lovely bracelet - isn't it nice? Found it at some Egyptian shop, he said."
James Binks-Rakosi frowned gently, "... oh.... right... but you guys aren't helping! He's lonely,Remiel is. So I drew him a picture." He left it at that as he turned to Deo. " He.... doesn't feel right, Miss Zoe. He was that one in the crowd that came from me the other night? He scares me. And Jehan always said to be wary of the gifts give nto me. they could be dangerous. I don't know about egyptian stuff though.... but maybe it is... from the fake eygptian line or something?"
Aydryan silently wanders off, a somewhat bemused distant look on his face. However, he holds the picture that Bink gave them close to his chest. He paused near Hikaru and whispered, "I'm retiring for the evening, Ami...my head is not right."
Nebecanezer Voskhod gave a slight shake of the skull. Those dark lengths shook about for a moment. Single eyes closed and re-opened. Perhaps he was to indulgent on his day dreams tonight. This cause a small upturn in the right corn of thin parallel's. It seems, as usual when he day dreams, something was missed. Attention never turned towards the crowd...but this fellow with the hat was position to allow the corner of good, irisless eye, to study him for a moment. So...alas poor Yurick, he whom I knew so well...what fun shall we have tonight? So many choices...so little time
Hikaru glanced down when his cross began to glow, faintly, his smile washed away into a scowl. "Hm..." Then he paid attention to the phone and what was being said. "Surprisingly... nothing more than that and what a Pomme is supposed to be. And sex has nothing to do with it unless you want it to." He paused, pulling the phone away from his ear and leaned forward, brushing his lips across Aydryan's cheek. The cross wouldn't hurt either of them, and it was so faint right now it wasn't yet a discomfort. "Alright... I will be around if you need me." Going back to the phone, he sighed. "Blade helped me when he did not have to last night. I was weak and he fed me.. willingly."
Jehan scowled faintly when Bink said someone frightened him . That was not usually a good sign ." you will ahve to point this fellow out to me Bink . Maybe I can understand what it was you see.
Deoridhe offers Aydryan a shy smile as he wanders off, content even though he gives no sign of seeing it, then frowns a at Bink. "I agree he's a little... there's something off about him, but I won't make the same mistake again, Bink. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt if it kills me. I screwed up enough with Remiel, you know? So I won't do that again." She looks very resolute and determined! And her emphatic nod causes her to crack her skull against the wall.... again. This time she lifts a hand back to the soft spot and whimpers a little, "Ow..."
James Binks-Rakosi winced and stepped back from them all. He nodded Obediently to Jehan and gave Deo a saddened look. "How did you screw up with Remiel?" As he asked he touched the rolled up picture in his pocket. He looked a little worried even as he blushed.
Nebecanezer Voskhod would take a good amount of time collecting information about the make figure before turning slightly to allow the same slow, studied gaze to pass over the others. Sadly, this was more than a simple study in Nebecanezer's eyes. You see, each image was digested into the swell of memory. This was for the purpose of his day dreams, such dreams that each image would be their own star. Each the center of personal attention on his part...torture, violence and other description's of a morbid and sadistic creature. This cause the other corn of lips to up turn, simple smirk into a rather decent grin. Thou...such emtions were left hidden beneath cloth that wrapped over the lower half of his face
Hikaru glanced down again at his cross, starting to get a little worried that it was glowing and glancing up the stairs , mentally checking on Aydryan who was a bit worried, but nothing else was amiss with him. It had to be something else. Violet eyes roamed over the club as he pushed away from the wall and started slowly, walking, part of his attention on the crowd around him, the other part on the conversation and yet another part on his cross. "That is entirely up to Remiel how long he stays in confinement. With how stubborn he is, it could be weeks... or months." He paused, the glow getting slightly brighter and tilted his head. "You sound tired Cirus... perhaps you should rest. Good night." He lowered the phone and hung up on him, not waiting for a response and placed the phone back in his pocket, glancing around. He simply could not pay so much attention to so many things at once.
Jehan sighed and reached over to ruffle Bink's hair , "Maybe you should stay here and take care of Zoe before sh really gets hurt. You have had enough experience with that to be able to help her Bink. Then you can ask for proper permission to take your last drawing where it needs to go." he leaned in to kiss Bink's forehead" I have to go check at the shop ..was supposed to have a delivery coming in and it is way past due . I can't let that equipment sit out on the street.
Deoridhe 's face falls as she turns her head sideways so she can rub the soft spot more easily. "He told me.... he told me he'd be nice with him if I didn't interfer, but when I saw him with Cirus I assume he might be hurting him, and so I interfered. So I need to apologize and admit I was wrong. I think I won't mention I tattled, though." She wrinkles her nose, glancing sideways at the nearby persons he didn't know and dropping her voice so her tattlepants self isn't revealed to more people. "Bye Jehan!" she adds, trying to keep her voice upbeat and chipper, although her head is beginning to pound from being hit.
James Binks-Rakosi sighed gently and nodded to Jehan. "ok, Jehan. I will ask." He got up on his tip toes and placed a kiss to Jehan's cheeks. It felt funny with the metal now there. "I love you!" He chirped and looked back to Deoridhe. "I... don't know enough of their relationship to say anything on it... Remiel makes it sound like... an obligation, but I... I'm not sure if it really feels like anything more than that." He shrugged and scoot over to stand agaisnt the wall between Deo and Hikaru. He looked to the Master vampire and gave him a warm smile, but didn't bother to interupt him. He could wait.
Nebecanezer Voskhod would allow a few soft chuckles to escape the passage of throat. Not that he was seriously trying to mask his humor in the affairs of creatures so as those before him. A slow, subtle intake of air freshened that which already reside within his lungs. The familiar scents were only added to the collection of their images. His head lifted, pulling attention away from them. Single eye closed...enjoying the sounds within the club, other than their voices. Hmmm...was this place enough for him to cause trouble
Hikaru glanced down at his cross, then to the figure off to his right, face half covered by fabric. The skin was too dark to be human... and Hikaru didn't dare reach out to see if he was Fae or not, he really just did not want to know. With Bink coming closer he smiled to him, his hand reaching up to clasp around the ruby studded cross, hiding it and it's glow from sight for the moment. "Hello Bink... Jehan.. Deo." He blinked looking at Deo and seeing all the scrapes and cuts, smelling far more of her than he should. "Deo.. what happened?"
Jehan lifted a hand and offered Hikaru a smile as he turned to go then he paused a moment and nodded to Bink," Leaving him in your care. The both of you . HAve to go take care of some work so I will catch up with you
Deoridhe flushes as Hikaru approaches, disguising her fever-hot cheeks. "I've been having a small spat of Murphy's Law," she says, tyring to shift in place again to look less like a disshevelled, broken doll and hears another ripping sound - louder this time and from the back of her skirt. "And I'm apparently never going to be able to wear this dress again." Her voice is beginning to get a little thick - it had all been a little much for a little over 24 hours, but she will! not! cry!
James Binks-Rakosi bowed his head to Hikaru's presence. He gave one last look to Jehan, his eyes bearing into him as he parted. He wasn't going to get upset he was being left alone. Jehan was proud of him for yesterday. He could do it again. He could. He reached out and touched teh chaise for support and pet at it. "... I guess you're my baby sitter tongiht, Mr. Hikaru?"
Hikaru nodded to Jehan "How is the tattoo coming by the way? I have been meaning to stop by and make a few slight changes to the design.. more additions rather than anything." He frowned "Murphey's law?" Moving to crouch down in front of her, feeling the cross get warmer against his palm, the light from the inside shining through his hand like putting it to a flashlight. Then he caught the feeling of IT and tensed, glancing around expecting to see Him here again, though he had never been here before that he knew of. "I will send the dress to our tailor if you let me try something with you....?" he was reaching up to slip the chain of the necklace from his head and hair and smiled "I suppose so Bink... i don't mind though."
Jehan smiled slightly and nodded," The draft is over on the desk at the shop jsut needs your approval or additions the rest of my equipment is supposed to be there. I hope.. Come on by when you aren't busy . " he lifted gaze to Bink and offered him a smile." Well you take care of these guys too Bink . I know I can trust you to do your best. Love you ." then he headed off towards the door .
Deoridhe smiles at Hikaru, her eyes a little vague and unfocused. "Oh, you got close." She shakes her head a little, as if trying to clear a fog from it, then winces. "You can try something without that. I'm pretty sure that last tear was fabric ripping, though, so it may not be mendable. With my luck...." Tears prick her eyes and she swallows, hard. "You'll protect me, right Bink?" she says to him, dropping her head back and cracking it against the wall for the third time. This time, her expression is markedly dazed.
James Binks-Rakosi paled abit but nodded to her, "Yes... I'll protect you Miss Zoe. He whimpered and reached out, cupping his hands over her head. in case she moved it again... she'd smash his fingers. He wouldn't mind. He'd suffered worse before.
Hikaru frowned at Deo's distraction, not liking it at all. "Hey Bink.. help me get this off? The chain keeps liking to tangle in my hair... maybe it is time for me to get it cut." He mentally winced at Aydryan's quick and harsh reply to that, then chuckled at it aloud. "Just don't move Deo.. okay?"
Deoridhe relaxes a little when Bink catches her head, remarking vaguely, "Thanks, Bink." She smiles but, given Hikaru's words, doesn't turn her head to look at him. She can feel her pulse pounding in her temples and her eyelids are feeling a bit heavy, cheeks still that bright pink, but she does her best to stay still. "I probably should have stayed home, huh?" she jokes, weakly.
James Binks-Rakosi looked between Deo and the wall and down to Hikaru. He removed his hands long enough to unzip his coat. Quickly he wadded it into a bundle and stuck it behind Deo's head. using it as a buffer for her to ram into instead of the wall. jsut in case. Once he got that he crouched down by Hikaru, giving him a slight unsure look as he reached up to take hold of his necklace. He didn't remove it, but he did pull it back to hold up away from his face as though it were a part of his hair.
Hikaru tugged and pulled his hair from the chain, and there was quite a bit of that to do. Once he got that finished, he pulled off his hat and slipped the cross up and back, replacing his hat again atop his head. "Thank you Bink." he then lifted the cross, still wrapped in his hand "Don't look directly at it." then let the cross spill from his palm, catching the chain on his thumb. The cross clowed bright enough to hurt the eyes, a star caught in a flare of red rubies and metal. He moved it over around Deo's body, watching the glow even as pinkened tears began welling and spilling over from the harsh light, even though he wasn't looking directly at it.
Deoridhe closes her eyes, leaning against Bink's jacket like it was a pillow. That violates the 'don't move' thing, but it also feels kind of good. Her wrist seems to be the most glowy-inducing part of her, or maybe something around her waist, since her hands are laying abandoned like poor, slightly blue and yellow creatures dead in her lap.
James Binks-Rakosi looked down, and pet for the picture... the picture!! He squeaked and looked up quickly. Not at the cross, but at his folded up jacket. He left the picture rolled up in the jacket. "...oh..." He bit on his lower like and looked at his jacket worriedly. Remiel's picture was in there. He had to ask to go see him rightfully to give it to him. It couldn't be hurt!
Hikaru frowned when the cross flared at her wrist, hovering close to the bracelet. "Hmm.. Deo? Who gave you this?" He was already reaching for it and gently rolling it off her wrist with his free hand while hooking the chain over his hat and letting it slide back down around his hair and neck again.
Deoridhe 's bad luck seems to be self-isolated, which is probably nicer to her than the alternative. For whatever reaodsn, the crinkly paper of pretty Remi-gift goodness is dangling down the wall, tucked safely into the curve of her neck as she relaxes. She opens her eyes when Hikaru begins to remove the bracelet, frowning in confusion. "Um... Cirus did, on our, um... date." She blushes a little, shifting and hearing a crinkle as the jacket starts to slip.... ohnoes!
James Binks-Rakosi squeaked as he jumped up and practically crawled over Deo's head to grab the picture. Once he had it cradled in his arms he rolled out and THUMP! inky rolled off the chaise and hit the floor. he gave a little gasp but he didn't make any sounds of pain. Mostly he was protectively hugging the rolled up picture so not to squash it.
Gage leaned against the bar as he ordered a drink. When he received it he would look about the bar as he slowly sipped. He looked next to him and his lion was looked up and him with a look that stated that it didn’t want to just be standing around.
Hikaru slipped the bracelet off Deo's wrist, studying it carefully for a moment, squinting at the bright light still coming from his cross, then blinked tear stained face at Bink when he hit the ground. "Nice catch? Are you alright Bink?" His eyes turned back to the bracelet, fingering the beads then looked up at Deo.
Deoridhe gasps as Bink crawls over her, trying to jerk out of his way and managing to bite her tongue while banging her head against the wall - only slightly cushioned by Bink's jacket. She whimpers this time, louder than she would ever want to know, tears springing to her eyes.
Nikki Robbins softly ordered her usual Bline. She stood there with her hands folded up against her after she paid for her drink. Slowly, she looked over to the group off to the side knowing the people over there. However, she looked away to the bar before her again. Nikki had her head slightly bowed so she looked over to Gage through the curtain of her hair. She took a slow breath to speak softly to him in her always gentle voice, "Evening Gage..." Nikki heard the words from off to the side but knew they were not for her.
James Binks-Rakosi climbed to his feet, rubbing at his shoulder as he blushed, " yes! I've been through worse. I just didn't want the picture to get hurt. it's... special..." He blushed more and ucked his head. He tucked the picture safe into his waist line of his jeans. It was loose enough to not smoosh it. Both hands free again, he reached out and held onto deo's head again. " no more smackings..."
Gage looked up from his drink and nodded to Nikki†good evening Nikki, it has a while since I have seen you about.†Flashing her a warm smile then went back to his drink
Hikaru looked up at Deo... "You went on a date with Cirus? Hmm.." He was back to looking at the bracelet... he could burn it... the Incinerator was just down stairs... It was obvious that whatever this evil that was in the bracelet was was still affecting her.
Deoridhe winces a little when Bink reaches for her head this time. "I kind of feel like my head's a bongo drum," she says, her voice slightly hollow; her eyes not quite focusing right. "I should get one of those helmets," she adds, inconsequentially, "like they have in special ed classes. I could be a football player all the time!" She begins to giggle, a tear slipping down one cheek. Hikaru's question takes a moment to penetrate, and she answers, "Well, he asked... was really nice... and then I kept dropping things, and burning myself... and tripping... so he sent me home. Sooooo~ embarrassing."
Nikki Robbins slowly nodded as she kept her head bowed and her rave locks hiding her face. "Yes...yes I know. It has been a while. I have...had other things on my mind." She lightly sipped on her Bline.
Hikaru chuckled "I would imagine so... Bink/ Would you mind taking care of her for a few moments? I need to take care of something quickly." He stood up, the bracelet tucked and hidden in his palm, his other hand rising up to grasp the cross, hiding the harshest of it's light behind his fingers.
Gage chuckled as he remember how his last weeks have been. But all he would reply was†I know the feeling; life just seemed to get crazy.†He took a few more big drinks and ordered another. Helooks up to her and smiles “ so what brings you out tonight?â€
James Binks-Rakosi listened, chewing on his piercings. Remiel spoke of Pommes last night like they were something precious and singular. But Vampires never held that one and only concept, none of them.... neither was his Pomme apparantly. NO wonder he wasn't calling out for him... "...it's like he needs him more than Cirus does..." He was talking to himself. He cleared his throat and nodded to HIkaru as he spoke, " oh.. um... yes, Sir! I mean.. Mr. Hikaru. I'll look after MIss Zoe."
Deoridhe tries to look back up at Bink, forgetting she's not supposed to move her head, then says, "You're so nice Bink... and you kind of smell nice... frankenscence and candy... sort of sweet in a church." She blinks, focusing on Hikaru, then, and says, "You're leaving? Ooooh.... I guess that's ok," but she sounds disappointed.
Nikki Robbins sighed softly and slowly nodded. She spoke very softly to herself. "Life...still is crazy..." Slowly, she turned her head just enough for him to see one of her deep jade eyes. "I...I simply could not...stay in my room alone anymore..."
Hikaru glanced around and spotted Gage and Nikki talking by the bar, nodding to them if they looked. It was good to see Nikki out of her room though. "I will be right back." He smiled to Deo and Bink before making his way into the stockroom and down the hatch.
Gage blew up two of the stray hairs that fell in his face. He nodded again†I know how it is hun, when I was injured, all I wanted to do was get out and do something and not just lay in a bed.†He saw past her and nodded back to Hikaru as he walked past his line of sight
Nikki Robbins did not glance over to the others as she spoke with Gage. She slowly nodded, "I suppose that might be similar. I have never been injured in such a manner before so...I do not know what that is like. Yet, this is only the first time I have felt the need to be among others in weeks. It was only tonight that it came upon me. Tomorrow night may see me to me rooms for a few weeks more." She looked back to her drink before lightly sipping on it.
"Frankesence....?" That was a first. Most said he smelled like candy or th ocean." He smiled down weakly to Deo and merely kept his hands on her head to keep her from ramming it into the wall again. He wasn't sure what else... to do. His own mind flickered off into meory, of the day before.. the week before. How little of times he actually did anything of real matter or use. Most the times he was just... there. For smiles. He couldn't heal he couldn't fight. He just made smiles. "HE'll be right back Miss Zoe, don't you worry."
Deoridhe blinks a few times, beginning to look confused. "First I saw all the glows.... around people..." she begins waving her hands kind of vaguely, smacking an elbow against the wall, "and now there are bells. Pretty, pretty ringing bells..." She closes her eyes. "It'll be ok, Bink," she insists gently. "I just know it. Eeeeevrything will be ok."
Hikaru stepped silently down the stairs and walked up to the incinerator, opening the front and taking a step back from the heat. He held up the bracelet and studied it a moment before taking a deep breath, remembering the fire purification spell he had read a while back in his studies. He didn't believe in that deity, but his beliefs were of the odd varaiety, that each one was the same entity, and that everything would work. So far he had had his cross glow for him in the face of a demon, among other items that were not Christian or Catholic respond to his faith. He believed this would work. Once the words were spoken he pressed the bracelet as close to the fire as he could, scorching the back of his hand as he did so, and the cord snapped and beads fell to the ground.
James Binks-Rakosi "i'm not the one beating my head on the wall, Miss Zoe. I know everything will be ok." He chuckled, though he didn't seem convinced. Not over this matter, but over the othr things on his mind. He felt... selfish? Was that the word? For beign and thinking on his own for his own. He never really thought on himself, but Remiel had told him to. He told him.... to say things he liked more. Was that wise...? Was any of it right? the more he thought the less aware he became of the word around him.
Deoridhe blinks a couple of times, as if a fog was lifting from her vision, then said in a much clearer voice, "That was... odd. Like the sun coming out." She winces, as well. "And my head hurts like a motherfucker." With his hands on her head, Bink would feel her fever rapidly vanishing as her temperature drops to normal. She lifts a hand to touch one of Binks, saying with a certain amount of humor, "I wasn't doing it on purpose."
Gage chuckled and shook his head as she slowly took another drink†I don’t know how you can do it.. BE in one room for all that time. You should get out and run, work out, something to be out there†he pointed to the door
Hikaru stared down at the broken bracelet, tossing the cord into the fire and picking up the beads. He paused from throwing them into the fire, noticing how his cross had suddenly stopped glowing, his eyes narrowing before he shut the incinerator door. Pulling out his handkerchief, he wrapped the little baubels inside it, shoving the small padded package into his pocket before striding upstairs and out of the stockroom again.
James Binks-Rakosi blinked and jumped back to the change in feeling. It frightened him, but he wasn't going to voice that aloud. "oh.... Well I am glad then." he smiled faintly and turned his head to stare out at the people. It wasn't a busier night and for that Bink was glad. He wouldn't be able to have held himself so composed... How was he doing so now anyway...? thoughts... he wasn't completely thinking here... was he?"
Nikki Robbins turned her head now to fully look to Gage. Her face gentle yet serious. "I have always been a quiet...shy...and solitary person Gage. Becoming a vampire...it has not changed that fact. It might make that more prominent. For a vampire can only ever truly be with another vampire forever. I am a product of my childhood days. I am still in the body of the twenty one year old girl who was a maid and taught to be calm, silent, serene, and invisible."
Deoridhe turns her head, experimentally, putting a hand to her forehead. "Wow, I am messed up." She shifts forward, tugging her dress carefully so she can move more comfortably, and amazingly manages to do all of this without adding to her already impressive legacy of dermatological damage.
Gage nodded slowly†I see, well all I have to say im glad I didn’t have to be all proper and such.†He smiled again, he was a bit lively tonight†it would have gone mad I tell you. But, in the life that we have, don’t you think you should enjoy it. You have so many years to just live. Hell I got about fifty or more in mineâ€
Hikaru shifts over to the bench and sits down beside her. "Deo... I'm sorry to tell you this but... Cirus... he put a spell or curse on you... by the feel of it.. it was a curse." He knew the levels of spells... and that one had evil stamped all over it.
James Binks-Rakosi drew back his hands to hold his chest and sighed gently. "...I knew he didn't feel right..." He gave a weak smile and reached back to grab his picture, cardling it at his chest as he resumed to cradle himself.
Nikki Robbins sighed softly as she looked back to her glass and took a light sip. Her hair fell around her face hiding the one pink tear. "I have tried such things Gage. I started to be truly happy again. But now...it has slid away from me again..."
Deoridhe turns to look at Hikaru, brows drawing together. "But..." she wants to argue, but her head is still pounding form the beating it took, "why would Cirus do something like that? He was so... so nice to me." She glances over at Bink, something almost like a pout curving her lips. "He looks a little muddy and such, but...." she protests, "I mean, why would he want to do something bad to me?" She turns back to look at Hikaru, her eyes asking him to recind what he said.
Gage tilted his head and finished his second drink" and why has it slipped away from you? what has happend that makes it not workth having fun any more"
Hikaru 's mind was a jumble of left and right turns. Was Cirus working for Andrew? did they even know each other or were there two demons in town now? Or had he even been able to call his yet? Hikaru was confused and his hand hurt, the stinging beginning to build into a dull ache, ignored for the most part. "I don't know Deo.. I.. I pissed him off something pretty bad when I took Remiel... It could be that. It seems being my friend is more dangerous than I thought." He looked over at her and sighed softly. "Do you want me to call you a cab? I'll... handle.. Cirus."
James Binks-Rakosi lowered his head as he listened, letting his mind drift back into his own world. It was a strange place. his world. His face seemed tranquil though except for his eyes. He listened to the two talk, but he kept out of it. It wasn't his place to add anything.
Nikki Robbins slowly turned her head to look down at the engagement ring she still wore on her hand. "My fiance...he has been gone for many weeks now. There are only ever...two base reasons in this town for why people suddenly disappear, never call, and never seen. Something bad happened to them...or they simply left. I...I do not want to assume that he would leave me. Yet, if he is in trouble...I still worry for his life." She looked back up to Gage. "I love him. He is my other half now. He has helped me become more than I ever thought I could be. And I...I do not want to lose him..."
Deoridhe admits, "I'm not sure I'm up for walking quite yet... would it be ok if I just rested a bit? Until close? I can call home and see if Mrs. Hardcastle or Roberts can come pick me up." She swallows a lump in her throat; somehow, thinking he'd done those nice things just to hurt her hurt worse than her head.
Gage ‘s smile slowly fades as he remember something about Nikkis fiancé, with all the other things floating around in his mind he shrugged†well, Nikki tell me who was your fiancé, was he one of us?â€
Hikaru nods calling Jeanette over and explaining things to her, though leaving out quite a bit of the curse part. "Bink? If you want I can walk you home.. unless you want to stay with her? I should really get something done. If you stay Jeanette can let you in through the stockroom." He nodded to Jeanette and stood, looking between the two of them.
James Binks-Rakosi lifted his chin, "No.. I need to go see Remiel." He spoke out rather calmly, his name snapping his consciousness back into the now. He blushed and looked towards HIkaru, though not directly and raised the picture. "I got lost last night when I took a wrong turn and ended up roamign the catacomb halls until I found my way into the room Remiel was held. He is really lonely, so I stayed with him. Jehan told me to ask you for me to see him because I drew him this to help him... and thank him for all he's done for me. I'm taking it to him myself though. I promised... and... I don't do things for myself enough.... I don't think... I can't really remember. But this I will, I just have to ask you first, Mr. Hikaru."
Nikki Robbins took a slow breath and slowly nodded. "If you mean a lycanthrope, then yes...he is. A werewolf..."
Deoridhe gives Hikaru a grateful smile, relaxing on the couch a little and closing her eyes. She twitches a little at Bink's explanation, but she really is trying this whole "give Remiel the benefit of the doubt" thing, and so she keeps her mouth shut.
Gage frowned. Knowing that things might be bad but he lost the frown and nodded slowly†well where was he last? Was he supposed to meet you some where?â€
Hikaru blinked up at Bink, his smile fading. "You saw.. Remiel...?" Then he was suddenly worried, concerned and yes there was a tinge of anger. "Did he feed on you? He's not supposed to be seeing anyone Bink..." Then he sighed. "Not your fault... I just.. could put him.. nevermind." Shaking his head.
"It's not that... It's... He is always there at night when i come home from work. He leaves sometimes before I wake and sometimes he stays while I get ready to go. One night, I came home and...he was not there. I thought it was odd that he was not. Yet, I did not think much of it. He is a lycanthrope and needs time not spent in the catacombs. Yet, it happened again the next night. So, I tried to call him and he did not answer. I left a message. Yet, this pattern started to repeat itself. Night after night he was not there when I arrived home. He would not answer his phone nor return my calls. It has been weeks with nothing."
James Binks-Rakosi "No, and I offered. He didn't want you to hurt me." his voice was calm as he spoke. He even kept his smiles and warmth. "He seems to think you're a bad vampire like everyone here seems to tink he is a bad vampire, but neither you nor Remiel.... or Mr. Aydryan are bad vampires. I kow bad vampires. It's not any of you." He smiled faded, but the warmth remained. "I'll not help him escape in anyway. Not even in words for others, Mr. Hikaru. Just.... don't force yourself to be something your not. ANd don't force him to think you're something you're not. You're both good men. You just don't see things the same." He raised the poster in his hand and blushed faintly, " just please... let me see him... without sneaking out behind your eyes?"
Deoridhe slips down on the couch, resting her cheek on the pillow and almost luxiruating in doing something simply which didn't result in the bench collapsing, or the ceiling falling on her, or smacking herself in the chin with her elbow. She sort of tucks herself a little into a ball, letting the music behind them set the thromb of her pulse, her headach slowly easing as she relaxes.
Hikaru frowned but nodded.. perhaps Bink could help remiel more than he could. "You can see him... I wouldn't hurt you Bink.. I would blame him if he fed on you.. but not you. Just.. don't let him do that.." He looked down trying to collect his thoughts. "I should go.. my.. errand." It was nice that some people thought they were good.. but good people often times had to do ugly and horrible things.. for good.
James Binks-Rakosi smiled brightly and did soemthing odd for himself he ran forward and hugged HIkaru. A Real hug, " thank you, Mr. Hikaru!" He chirped softly. He held the hug a moment longer as he stepped back, " I won't let him."He turned and waved gently towards Deo and gave her an honest smile. "Orange juice and cookies is good for the soul. Ask Alejandro... he knows!" He turned and proceeded to move out of the club, to go straight to his now oked destiantion. He stopped after a couple of steps and smiled back at Hikaru. "Oh.... I made you and Mr. Aydryan a picture too. Mr. Aydryan has it though, but it is for both of you. My thanks for everythign you both have done for myself and Jehan."
Deoridhe is already, amazingly enough, asleep on the couch. Bink's words cause her to twitch a little, tucking her hands under her chin, but not to awaken. Despite the noise, despite the music, despite all the people around, she's passed out cold, and will remain that way until Jeanette of the eternal patience rouses her enough to get her home in a cab.
Hikaru offered a half felt smile and nodded, chuckling at the hug "Go and see our friend, Bink. I'm sure he is missing you." He opened the door for Bink, letting him into the stockroom before closing it after him and heading toward the door.
-------------------------
James Binks-Rakosi finally came back inside and grabbed a pillow from the couch to the floor.
