James Binks-Rakosi paced about the store, having cleaned all the candy containers and restocked them... three times. Miss Maddy never had to worry about keeping stocked and tidy when she had Bink on Shift. He did that so well, his coworkers began to loathe shifts with him. He wasn't a bad fellow at all... it was just... teenagers and newly young adults despised over achievers. Bink... just could not sit still. When Miss Maddy wasn't around they'd tease him and pick fun of him for all his working. He ignored it all as best he could, but a part of him always felt...alone when he wasn't cleaning. Not entirely his fault. All his co-workers and Miss Maddy were human. They didn't understand.
James Binks-Rakosi stood in the corner, restocking hte plastic bags for the chocolate containers as the other two employees on shift sat by the window and half whispered gossip to each other. 'you know he's one of the freaks here. My momma talk about them. They all dress up in black and makeup and hang about that Vampire bar.' ' oh yeah, that is right. Mrs. Hanley says that the city has gone downhill when all of those kind started showing up. Death rate has gone up too!" they giggled and looked at Bink. 'you;d think as much as he's clean and stock he'd figure out how to socialize and stay away from those dead folk. You think he polishes their coffins?' 'oh mai gawd! He probably does... with Windex!'
James Binks-Rakosi winced but kept his chin up to his work. He wasn't very stealthy but he tried his best to sneal a glance to the clock. 8 minutes. 8 minutes and he could leave. Bink usually was not in a rush to leave, but Miss Maddy wasn't in... and he...could only tolerate the whispers that he pretended not to hear so much. '....if he hangs out at that club so much I bet he does more than just polish their coffins.' 'brandon!' 'what? he probably does. I bet he wants to be like them and their undead ways. it's creepy.' 'Well james -IS- creepy. have you seen his eyes? Orange isn't natural. Miss Maddy really must have owed someone a favor to let him come on the staff.'
His students bailing an hour early today Adrik was out and on his way home. He'd told Asher soon as he was done cleaning he could come home too. He'd tried to stay and help clean...but he was chirped at..so here he was wondering in to get candy..MIXED candy, and he planned on two bags of sugry orgasmic goodness. "Hello?"
James Binks-Rakosi breathed out and took the left over bags in his hands. They were shaking. He was afraid. Afraid of a couple of teenagers. Great, bink. He thought to himself. You'd lived through Torture and Creepy weird experimentation... and a couple of teenagers petrify you... He shook his head to dismiss the thought and gave them his best, most polite smile. He didn't look at either though directly as he moved back behind the counter. "...its... its 5 o'clock now. I'll be clocking out unless there is anything else I need to do..."
Jonas Claremont leaned forward over the edge of the building overlooking the park. After a while of observing silently, he removed his blade and his veil, laying a glamour over them to prevent them being found. Standing straight, he pulled his hair back into a long tail at the back of his head, shrugged on a leather jacket to cover his torso, and then stepped off the edge of the building. He dropped to street level in a graceful crouch, lighter than his size should have allowed. Standing up and shrugging his coat straight, he turned and headed off down the street. Oddly, he found himself sporting a sweet tooth.
Bink Wylder blinked as he nearly ran right into the tall man with a sweet tooth. His coworkers laughed and each went to their respective corners while bink blushed and bent down to pick up plastic bags he dropped and stutter his apologies. "I.. uh.. oh.. heyla Sir... um... can we get you anything?" Inwardly he was cringing. Guests came first and his quick escape seemed to be put on pause. Such was his luck!
Jonas Claremont stepped into the shop, closing the door behind him. An air of quiet danger slipped in with him, accentuated by the lack of glamour to hide his less-than-human features. He glanced around for a moment, his eyes gleaming in triple rings of color, from gold to honey to amber. He paused for a moment, fixing his eyes on the babbling human teenagers, who quite suddenly shut up and seemed oddly dumb-struck. He stopped when his eyes settled on the nervous young man, and his head tilted. His gaze lingered, studying the boy as if there were something familiar there. Then he glanced to the shelves. He stepped over to one of the crates full of mints, and scooped out a bagful. Turning, he handed the bag to the young man to measure and ring up, his eyes fixed the entire time.
James Binks-Rakosi was about as dumbstruck as the other two, for the exception of those inhuman eyes of his. They glowed and flickered his emotions as the man moved. Embarassment, insecurity, and a subtle twinge of fear. They reacted more than normals eyes would, but for now stayed whole. One that could feel a difference would note the tell-tale signs of glamour, and one not done with an extreme skill. Bink was self taught. He bobbled his head finally and scooted back to place the mints o nthe weight, nodding Adrik as he quietly replied, " wuh-wuh-wuh one moment... Sir...thank you!" It almost came out in a squeak. He looked back to the stranger man of imposing tallness and added. " 3.17.... that's tax included, Sir..."
Adrik Gave a small smile as he watched the young man go ramming into the dark skinned man. He was more thankful the teasing teens seemed to be shutting up though. It all seemed rather smooth until he felt that air of danger. He could smell it and it made his hair stand on end like a balloon rubbed against the top of someones head. "Hm.." Scooting over to the candy closest to the pair he started taking his own mesh of candies and watched the one spewing danger like he was expecting to have to jump him."
Jonas Claremont turned slightly, glancing at the other man who walked inside. Eyes slid over him from head to toe, and in that brief glance he seemed to weigh and measure the other down to the ounce. He turned back when the not-quite-human young man told him the cost. He reached into the pocket of his coat, took out a $5, and set it down on the counter, his fingers lingering on the crisp bill, as if waiting for it to be taken. His eyes held on Bink for a moment longer, and then he lifted his hand away, taking the bag of mints and popping one into his mouth before tucking the bag inside his coat. Rolling the candy across his tongue thoughtfully, he turned toward the door, glancing over his shoulder one last time before he swept outside, leaving behind his change. The moment the door closed behind him, the aura of danger seemed to blow out of the room and into the summer night, and the teenage coworkers both shuddered simultaneously, as if shaking themselves from some daydream.
Galin roamed because well, thats what the fae did. Turning the corner, his skin prickled with the familiar feel of fae. Not his own life, but anothers. Curious, he angled his footsteps along the path towards what looked like a candy store? Odd. Cocking his head to the side, he shoved his hands into his pockets and lingered outside. Sometimes sitting apart and watching was safer and besides, his big mouth had a way of getting him into trouble. Best wait and use that later. As the male exited, Galin's eyes found his and knew instantly he was correct in his assumptions. Stepping aside, he allowed the male to pass on his way, turning his curious gaze back to the group within the store.
James Binks-Rakosi was grateful the other man was taking his time with his candy selection. The first man of intimidation was enough for him to handle. One of the teens had managfed to excuse themselves into the back room to hide.. and most likely cry. The other... sank to the floor. Bink just stood there and whimpered and held himself. He'd felt plenty of vampiric dark and demented energies as well as lycanthrophs.... that... wasn't it. But it was definitely scary! It was scary enough for him to drop his own glamour for a moment. His tri-color eyes flickered in and out of the common sight of others as was... the sight of long pointed ears? It wasn't long enough for his coworker to catch on, but it was enough for him to colect himself and the money and ring it up. Clearign his throat loudly he looked at Adrik and shruged. "d-d-do... you still need a moment, Sir?"
“ok one of these is the cady shop, I can smell t... do you know whic one, blade? “*Vas looks at the figures outside and squeezes his hand a little tighter, staying close to him but still looking confident.*
Blade lifted his hand to point to the brighter collored one "that one looks like it" he said simply head titling "maybe..." he wasn't sure "never been to the candy place... didn't know there was a candy place..."
Adrik Watched the Dark fae leave. Good, then there wouldnt be an unwarented fight. He turned with his mix of sweedishfish, skittles, sour candies and chocolate covered raisens. "Uh yea-" He paused as glamour fell and rose. The human teenagers might not pick up on it, but the shifter did. "You should be careful about that." He glanced back towards the door. "Bit strange eh?" Still he looked back with a lopsided grin. "I was looking for gift boxes, little ones, for the candy. Do you sell any here?""
Galin own glamour was complete in that it covered every point of his form, from the dark hair on his head, to the dapper boots he had unwillingly tugged on earlier this day. His own aura was far from intimidating and more likely to sooth the others than rifle thier fears. Galin was a lover, not a fighter and as he grinned, turning his eyes from the male leaving, his own blue gaze seemed full of interest. He figured there were enough men out there slinging their powerful muslces around, he liked to keep his in his pants....okay that was a lie but he didn't fight with it. Deciding he could use a bit of gum, he pushed open the door and stepped in. Giving a brief nod to those in the shop, he noticed the one...the single point of life stronger than the rest. The other fae had concealed it, but Galin could see through the glamour easily. Leaning over, he grinned, brushing the back of his hand over the other's cheek. The feeling of cool water, the scent of a fresh lively river, Galin grinned. Pulling back the hand, he meant only to sooth the other. "Gum, lots of gum..." he asked with an easy smirk as he reached for his wallet."
VasRhea Ixito laughs "I heard the guy called Bink talking about it in the club. I scare him for some reason so was gonna give himsething to ay sorry for that and buy some chocolate. I'm dying for some!" She walks inside, still dragging Blade with her. "Oh! Hello Bink." She smiles at the shy blonde behind the counter but blinked since he looked a little scared.
Blade blinked why did he always get draged places he wouldn't get lost... "oh.. Bink.." he smile d "i kind o fknow him.. he gave me a nick name.. a goo one too.." he smiled to her then to Bink "ello" he greatted but went to look at the candies sweets were what he needed for a good pick me up
James Binks-Rakosi shook his head, blinking questionably towards Adrik, " be careful about what..?" Another point of Bink own awareness. He clearly lacked the sense to know when his glamour was and wasn't working. "OH! Boxes, I can get that for you-- oh.. nevermind." The teenager o tneh floor finally stood and got Adrik a small selection of boxes to choose from. Bink then.. suddenly was blushing, a deep crimson red as his cheek was pet at and the new man asked for gum. The feeling of water peeked his senses, calming him and sending an equally comforting presence of his own. Most likely it was the begin of a projected aura, but clearly... Bink hadn't figured how to do that yet. For now it was like a sense that soemthing wanted to be there and a heightened scent of salt water and sugar filled the air. His eyes though glittered with confusion and panic. "..i... i should be flailing and stuttering. I don't like people touching me. Why aren't I flailingat you Sir?" He gulped and added, " oh.. that was because you wanted gum. what kind? We have a huge selection of gums from the sugar loaded to the breath refreshing.. and really... why aren't I flailingat you?!" Bink unrealization number two: He never practically nothing about himself. He knew just as much about other Fae."
Sakari Ugajin looks up at the bright neon lollipop over the building and grins a bit. "Well, if that's not the candy shop, I'll go in and claim false advertising," she mumbles to herself, and curiously she looks through the windows. Her eyes spot Vas inside immediately, and her grin widens. She knocks on the window and waves to try and get her attention before she moved around the corner of the shop and opened the door. The thick scent of sugar and fruit overwhelms her for brief moments before her nose wrinkles and gets used to it. She smiles as she recognizes Bink as well. "Hello Bink, it's good to see you again. Hey Vas! Thought I'd find you here." She looks curiously at the others, not immediately recognizing them nor knowing what to make of them at this point.
"Your.." Well..he didnt know the term. "Magic burped." He murmered to the blonde then perked seeing one of the teenagers come skipping up with an arm full of boxes. "Thats whats up!" Bouncy he looked enthused by the selection and picked out two. "Thank you." His brow rose as the one walking in went right for the Blonde to touch him..he'd have thought them lovers if the little one didnt look confused. He didnt seem offended though...so he let it be and turned as more walked in. "Blade? Right?" He had more candy to get to anyway and was staring at fruite roll ups, the teen with the boxes sticking close at hand."
Galin moved with a confident ease, the motions fluid as the water he controlled. The wallet was out, flipped open, the brilliant blue gaze lifting to watch the fae. He needed a price here and his gum after all. A woman entered, dragging a male behind her and he arched his brow lightly. That was just the type of thing he'd never allow happen to him. Keeping his comment to himself, he turned his gaze back to Binks? Is that what the woman had called the kid. It was rare he ate anything not from the silthen but today, for now, he could make an exception. As the boy started mumbling and fumbling through his words, Galin watched him with growing interest. As far as he knew a Fae had not been born in nearly four hundred years, but this one seemed so young. "Ahh..." what kind of gum? "Perhaps the sugar free..." it was probably the closest to unprocessed he'd get in a candy store. As for his other questions, he only shrugged. He was uncomfortable sharing his nature with others, beyond the Fae. His glamour was securly in place. He felt the boys small spark of life and thought the Queen should know, he shouldn't be alone. "You can flail at me if you like...I wager it won't get you far though." Offering a grin, he shrugged and handed over three dollars, hoping it covered the gum. He rarely had use for human money. Galin had questions, but decided this place while the lad worked, was probably not the best place. "How much do I owe you then?" His accent thick with the accent of the Irish, his tones easy and calm. There was no intention to upset the male more than the last fae had. It become crowded inside then and he found the enclosing space uncomfortable. With a roll of broad shoulders, he stepped to the side, debating on getting the gum at all before leaving.
VasRhea Ixito turns as her nameis called and grins wide "Kari-chan! Finally woke up" she laughs and turns to hug her. "I really REALLY needed chocolate. And besides I owe Bink a cookie." She sees blade down the counter looking at the slection and waves at him. "Hey Blade, this is my room mate Sakari I told you about. Kari-chan, this is Blade, one of my new friends here." She smiled a little at Bink before turning back to her commrades, not wanting to bother him while with a customer. She looked over the guy with the 'hawke that seemed to know Blade.
Blade was sorting though jawbarkers when he heard his name "hum.. oh.. Hi.." he smiled slightly "seems everyone came here for candy.. all at once" he chuckle d smiling alittle more to "Adrik... hope i'm not i ntrupting anther date?" he teased glanceing back to Vas "oh... I heard a lot about you, good to met you" he nodded politly before turning back to his candy looking
James Binks-Rakosi reached behind the counter, still blushing as he grabbed the first sugarless gum pack he could find. In fact.. he grabbed two. Bink and his bizarre habits had grouped all sugarless gums together. " 2.36 for both, Sir." He said. He gave the man a faint smile. an Irish Accent! He'd have to tell Jehan He heard another Irish accent. He took the change and rang it out, sighing as he noted Vas, Blade and Sakari all coming into the store. Really... he had just wanted to run away from the store and the teenagers that were now beginning to whisper over what that fellow meant by 'magic burping.'
Sakari Ugajin smirks as she hugs her friend close. "Well, someone has watch your back." She lets go and looks to the man Vas pointed out as Blade. She looks him over carefully, then nods politely. "Yes, it's good to meet you too, Blade. Vas seems to say a lot of things about the both of us- I hope you've heard nothing bad of course! I've heard nothing but good things about you though." Her eyes found themselves distracted by the flashy paper and bright colors of all the candies and wrappings. "Have you gotten anything Vas?"
Galin noted the scare on the boy and wandered if he was mixed with something. Fae were nearly impossible to harm or scar unless it was iron or metal. Not even a vampire or lycan could leave scars their life could not heal. Curiouser and curiouser. Flipping his wallet closed, Galin slid it into his back pocket and shrugged it off. It wasn't for him to know everything. "Thanks..." Reaching out, he took the gum and nodded, offering a wink. "Catch you around Binks....and Galin will do fine. I am not nearly old enough for sir....if I did not know better I would be offended.." Grinning he turned on his heel and started out, weaving his way through the crowd with ease. The last thing someone wanted to do was offend a Fae after all, dangerous things happened to them in their sleep. Tossing the packs of gum into a can as he passed, Galin hummed an odd tune and tunneled his hands back into his pockets. Enough time in the city, he wanted back to the woods, the grass, the life of his people.
VasRhea Ixito digs in her bag and pulls out a chocolate chip cookie the size of her hand. It was still warm and a little squished from her bag and wrapped in plastic wrap semi neatly. "I made this for you." She holds it out to Bink. "I seemed to scare you the night we met so I wanted to say sorry." She noticed the teenagers, probably only 4 or 5 years younger than her pointing and snickering and glared at them for their stupidiyt. She was human but found others aroud her age to be annoying at best. She turns her head to Sakari and forces a smile. "Not yet, wanted to give this to Bink before I looked around."
James Binks-Rakosi twitched as the man left and sighed out to Vas. "Everyoen scares me. Don't be offended by that." Still he took the cookie and quickly punched out. "..but thank you. Now.. do you guys mind.. if I run now.. I stayed passed my shift.. and.. and I really feel the need to run away. Not from you guys... just... understand?"
Blade smiled to Vas then to bink "feel free to run " he even held the door open for him "I would too or hide"
James Binks-Rakosi was still blushign though the turmoil of feelings wer still brightly showing on his eyes. "remind me to hug you both next tiem I run into you!" He spoke, quietly. and he did run... apron and all out into the street. He just needed fresh air... and water. He really wanted to find water.
James Binks-Rakosi ran for the first place he knew had water: the park. Granted it was a manmade area of water and the water went through city irrigations, but it was close enough! He'd dunked himself in those waters before. Except this time.. there were two beings there. He stopped running to stare into the water. He needed to calm himself. He needed to feel the water rushing over him.... but he wasn't nearly brave enough to do it with them there... plus.. it was distance, but he was pretty sure that scary vibe got stronger. Another bad. He shuddered and held himself and too off towards the second less populated and most likely more dangerous area for water.
James Binks-Rakosi slowed to a walk when the water fountain that was built around a large old tree... came into view. Jehan had showed him this part of town, and he's only ever come this way with the vampire around. Now it was jsut him, but it was isolated. He smiled brightly and purposefully dropped his glamour. Not that it was alot. Hiding eyes and ears was probably silly to many but he would have never known. He climbed over the stone ledging and slooshed into the waters, clothes and all. Bink didn't care. he sat in those waters too, his head poking out from the top enough for him to breath without accidentally breathing in water. That would have hurt... alot. He sighed, his ears twitching as he studied the roots of the tree and enjoyed the tranquility. "...you're such a scaredy cat, Bink....what is wrong with you!?!..... why.. why can't I be normal..."
James Binks-Rakosi had his good soaking and sighed as he stood up. "Great.. Jehan's gonna get mad at me for ruining more clothes again..." He blinked and held up the pond water soaked cookie Vas made. Perhaps that seran wrap was pond resistant. "ooh... you idiot!" He cursed at himself and climbed out of the fountain. It was a slightly chilly night, amplified more by the fact that he was soaked from the neck down. His teeth were chattering as he shook his feet to get loose water from it. "ok.. so... first things first... warm place... clean clothes... Bink.. you can do this!" He unfastened the arpon, leaving it at the base of the fountain and trudged along shivering and soggy along the road.
James Binks-Rakosi perhaps had made the unconscious good choice for once to turn and make his way towards old town. He left behind him a drip trail of water, but msot importantly.. he went to an area that was teeming with preternatural life. And he hadn't remembered to bring up his Glamour again. So there was Bink and all his would be Faeness... soaked to the bone with a plastic wrapped cookie in his hand. There had to have been some type of joke that came with it, but Bink didn't know its punchline.
James Binks-Rakosi Tao flagged Bink over and spooked the poor soaked kid into the Red Room before he got the chance to make his own decisions in the matter. He also made it a point to cup Bink's head about his ears as he walked him in. "bathrrom's down and to the right." It was the first time Tao spoke to Bink, and Bink would have wet his pants in fright... were he not already soaked. Besides... pants wetting is an insult to injury Bink would not go down. He did have limits. He thanked Tao by squeaking at him and slooshingand dripping his way to th bathroom without furthr complaint. He jsut wanted to be dry...
Hikaru sighed, his eyes roaming over the patrons in the club on occasion, but for the most part he kept them closed, enjoying the simplicity and the rare peaceful moment between them. "I am too." He didn't say anything further but his eyebrows lifted when he spotted Tao walking Bink across the club floor... and Bink was soaked. "I wonder what happened..." He was already starting to pull away from Aydryan to slide off the lounger, tugging his hand to follow not wanting to be separated for long.
*Aydryan* heard beneath the music and pounding feet the decidedly out of place sound of waterlogged shoes and soaked clothing. It was enough of a curiousity to have his head turning to investigate the noise and immediately spotting Bink in a condition that made him frown. He didn't have much time to react himself as Hikaru spoke and began tugging him off the couch. The tug wasn't met with any resistance and he turned his attention to Bink. "Bink...what has happened?"
James Binks-Rakosi was already beginning to move up the staircase when the Masters stopped him. Great. Now he really felt dumb. His ears lowered with his head and he grumbled under his breath, "I was dumb.. had a bad day.. can I just dry myself in the bathroom..?" He wasn't goign to openly admit he had a bad habit of soaking with clothes on in bodies of water when his senses were overwhelmed. He was strange enough as it was.
Hikaru nodded "Of course..." Then he waited for Bink to start up the stairs before frowning curiously and following, his hand never leaving Aydryan's even if it was simply fingertips touching. "Bink... how do you think you were dumb?" He honestly had never thought of him like that.
*Aydryan* held silence for now, allowing Hikaru to ask the questions. He would simply be a warm presence close by should Bink wish someone to cling to. He did notice the young man's appearance and was hard put to not stare in a bemused way. He had been aware that Bink was at least partially Fae, but now the thought of 'partial' wasn't quite correct.
James Binks-Rakosi stopped and heaved a sigh, tightening his hands into fists to keep himself from shedding a tear over himself. "oh.. I spent 6 hours with two others my age and clean that store and stock it to perfection because..well... I have to do so... I jsut can;t not do anything... and I get to listen to them talk and complain about their parents and familis and school life I never got and then whisper to themselves about how I'm such a freak and hang out in the area with the vampire and other freaks that go bump in the night and how unsafe everyone is... and... heck, what would they be whispering if they knew I married a vampire. What would they say if they realized my eyes weren't jsut orange and creepy.. but I'm not human! I couldn't show my face aroudn them without the ridicule.. then it got busy and this man came in and he FELT bad... you nkow.. like suucked the life right out of the candy store. And then another came in right after him and touched me and I felt.. strange.. i've never felt energies like that.. and.. I broke down. I ran from my job... to what.. be weird and sit in a water fountain. You know anyone else that sits in water fountains to feel better with their clothes o? Cause I don't... jsut dumb... weird... people like me..." He sighed and lifted the plastic wrapped cookie in his hand, "and I think I ruined the only good thing I got today.... cause I'm dumb.""
Hikaru tilted his head while Bink spoke then was quiet for several seconds before he glanced to Aydryan then spoke. "You aren't dumb Bink. You are..." He paused pressing his lips together and then slowly smiled. "You are Bink. You are the best Bink I have ever met, and the ONLY one that can ever be Bink. You aren't dumb, you are different, like Aydryan and I are different and there is nothing wrong with being different. Does that make any sense?" He had somehow managed to slightly confuse himself, and at the same time it made sense too... in a roundabout sort of way.
Quyten heads to the main bar and orders a bline. glances curiously at the group near the stairs, as one of it's members is soaked, but politely then gets engrossed in my iphone seeing that it appears to be a personal matter.
*Aydryan* walked up and in front of Bink, sliding his fingers free from Hikaru as his lover spoke. Then he lifted his hands and framed Binks face with them and tilted it up so they could look at one another, though, he did make it a point to focus on Bink's forhead so he wouldn't feel uncomfortable. He spoke quietly, "Humans are ignorant and rude creatures. They fear what they don't understand or what they're jealous of. Do not let them effect you, if you can, but it's difficult. I know. I try very hard to show others that I'm not the .... harsh .... person that they think I am, but mostly I fail at that." Then his hands shifted, moving to Bink's shoulder and drawing him in for a hug, "Doing what comes naturally to you, what is your nature....is not dumb, Bink. Ignoring what you wish to do....that is dumb."
James Binks-Rakosi blushed as he was touched.. again, but at least Aydryan's hand, he knew. Kinda. The hug made him squeak a little. He sniffled, not helping the stray tears... darn them! "Thank you..." He murmured quietly. His ears flicked as he leaned there and sighed. It was a short term pause mostly because after the moment passed. He sneezed. he knew it was coming though and cupped his face. Sneezing on a Master of the City.. that is Baaaaad Juju. " ....great.. now I'm going to get a cold.." Fae... got colds? Well Bink wasn't a full fae, however the mixing of his blood on the otherhand he never really knew. Apparantly it was enough to allow him to sneeze when walking around evenings soaked.
Hikaru smiled and shook his head "Not if we get you into the bath soon. You look to be about Christopher's size... I have something you can change into." he was starting to move past them toward the office, leaving Bink to Aydryan and knowing that when they were ready they would follow.
Quyten nods back politely glanceing up from his iphone and flashes a smile
“Crown and coke. I'm gonna go sit down before red over there gives me a lecture worse than any of yours." She spots Bink across the club and smiles a little but her mood was too sour to wave at him. She moved to sit at a couch and just chill for a bit. "Thanks Kari-chan"
*Aydryan* released Bink just before the sneeze and could only smile, "Hikaru's right...come on with you then...upstairs." He stepped to the side and gently urged him forward.
James Binks-Rakosi got urged forward and moved. Luckily not looking back to see the little puddle he dripped onto the floor. He sniffled and couldn't tell if it was from the cold or the mood. "o-o-o-k" He murmured as he followed
Hikaru led the way into the office, then into the safe room, propping the door open for them when they got there. He pulled out a towel and the soaps, then went to kneel down, digging under the bed for the package he had gotten a while back. Somehow it had been kicked so far under the bed he couldn't quite reach it...
*Aydryan* glanced to Hikaru as he struggled with something beneath the bed. Shaking his head slowly, he moved to the bathtub and began running pleasantly warm water into it. "We won't stay while you clean up and warm up, Bink. You'll have privacy, but we'll be right outside."
James Binks-Rakosi had wide eyes as they moved as a group.. into the bathroom. there wasn't even any rubber duckies. How could a bathroom not have rubber duckies! all ducks aside.. he was dangerously nervous over the idea ofa group in the abthroom with him. Thank goodness Aydryan knew all! He sighed out his embarassed relief and peered down at the bathtub... lamenting its lack of rubber duckie... th horror...
Hikaru finally gave up with reaching for the bag with a small chuckling grumble and lifted the bed in inch or four so he could snag the bag and pull it out, standing up easily afterward and setting the bag down at the foot of the steps leading up to the bed. "I actually bought this a while back... for you. Not sure if it will fit though." He shrugged and stepped down, closing the curtains behind him and moving to stand next to Aydryan.
*Aydryan* had a feeling that something was missing from this picture and moved over to a small box of odd things stuck in a corner. When he came back he dropped the little yellow thing into the tub. "Yes...that does seem to complete the picture." He looked at Hikaru and smiled. "We'll give you space now Bink."
James Binks-Rakosi looked over to Hikaru and blushed faintly to his words. "I thought Jehan was the only person that ever bought clothes for people... not that I.. shop often." He frowned a bit. He wore the clothes he did because they were there to wear. He never really chose clothes for himself. It made Jehan happy to select clothes for him regardless. "I.. well.. thank yo-" but he lost his train of thought. The water went PLOP! and there he was... a bobbling duckie... IN the tub. Oh... that got his attention. He giggled and clapped his hands. "I lvoe rubber duckies!! I have them all over the bathroom... I think they actually disturb Jehan but... bathtubs are lonely without them!"
Hikaru nodded "You're welcome." Then he chuckled, shaking his head when Ayd pulled out the duck and tossed it in, heading for the door. "I'll be right outside Bink. If you need anything else just yell." He was still chuckling as he stepped out and waited for Ayd to follow, then closed the door but left it open a crack so he could hear if bink did yell. The room was soundproofed very well after all. <<You planned ahead for this.>>
*Aydryan* <<perhaps.....I adore him. It still astounds me>> He followed Hikaru out, giving Bink a warm smile. Then moved to the desk, "I'm afraid that I need to retire to our apartment, Ami. I have some phone calls to make and check in with St Louis."
James Binks-Rakosi watched the pair leave, still blushing. He didn't notice the door was left a crack open. Once it was closed and both out he was peeling.. literally peeling wet clothes from his shivering body. He rung out each article of clothing and folded them as neatly as the dampness would allow. Making an odly neat pile of wet clothes with soaked shoes on top.. Bink was ready to climb into the tub which he did with a sigh. The duckie bobbled in the moving water before poking him in the chest. "oh.. i'm sorry Mr. Duckie..." and yes.. he did scoot back against the edge of the tub... to give the duckie floating space.
Hikaru paused at that confession from Aydryan. He had known it for some time but to actually hear Aydryan admit to it... it brought a warm smile to his face and that love that he felt for him grew. Nodding as he moved up behind Aydryan to wrap his arms around him <<Don't over think it ami.>> brushing his lips across his lover's cheek before he let him go a small settling worry biting at him. He knew he was doing better, handling his new power, but he couldn't help but worry anyway. "Alright..."
*Aydryan* turned in Hikaru's arms to kiss him tenderly, "Don't worry, beloved. It's just to tell them how I'm doing, to give them a report....on myself and.....on HER contact with me. It has been....noticeably absent." He kissed him again and squeezed him tight. "I'll be close by, in here." He tapped Hikaru's temple gently and then wandered out and to their below ground apartment.
James Binks-Rakosi the bathing process goes rather quickly.. though it does involve a bit of giggling. It was hard to be serious in the bathtub with a bobbing rubber duckie.. that squeaked! Bink had to pick up the duck and squeak it... three times. He had to be sure the squeaker really worked! Once done, came the fun part... getting out of the tub without making MORe of a mess... dripping everywhere... for the towel on the ground. He reached out and tried to grab the towel from the floor. So much so, he had pulled himself almost compeltely out the tub to hang over its ledge and reaaaach. amd sadly.. slip right off it. He laughed as he tumbled in a wet and sudsy mound of Binky o nthe bathroom floor. He winced, wondering if that flop was loud and blushed a bright red as he fumbled for towels to cover himself. "...i'm a-ok!!"
Hikaru sighed when Aydryan left and went to the couch, lifting one of the cushions to pull out his book. His head snapped up hearing the giggling and then the tumble that Bink had made and was about to ask when Bink called out. Smiling he settled down on the couch and opened his book, beginning to read. He was of course listening to Bink in the tub, or out of it, along with the link to he beloved and the slight thrumming from the music below.
James Binks-Rakosi towel dried hismelf on the floor and ruffled his own hair with the towel before attempting to put on any dry clothes. No longer wet, he felt a little more.. horrible for getting himself soaked and nearly sick. He held up the pants in the package of clothes. the clothes bought with him in mind. He blushed and crawled to his feet, standing on the poor towel to not slip on the wet tile. The pants were a little loose, but they weren't sagging. this got a little cheer out of him.
Hikaru lowered his book, his smile fading a bit while he let his mind trail off, thinking about the scars he had seen on Bink several nights ago. Then on what Jehan had told him, his own hand reaching up to trail lightly over his cheek while he pondered. He wondered if there was anything they could do for them, other than simply being there.
James Binks-Rakosi thankfully the top was baggier too. When he didn't feel the best emotionally, he always looked for baggy jackets to wear. This only had one top, but it was a baggy top! He smiled and scrunched it about his mid-drift comfortably. This left... a hat!! What was it with vampires and hats. This one wasn't as weird as that cop hat. He put it on for polite's sake and blinked as it hit the edge of his ears. "Glamour!!" He finally remembered he didn't have it. He wrinkled his face up as he whispered focus multiple times. yes.. that was the only way he could find the energy to mask his long ears and tri-colored eyes.. focusing like winnie the pooh. Now... glamoured to his 'normal' and dressed with hat.. and bunny! he collected his wet clothes, shoes and towel and all and shuffled out to open the door and peer out at it.. for someone. "um... heyla...?"
Hikaru blinked out of his thoughts and straightened, closing the book and slipping it under the pillow. "Hey Bink.. you feeling any better?" turning to face him he smiled. "If you don't like the hat.. you don't have to wear it." Remembering a few parties back, he did also note that now Bink had hidden himself away again, hiding his long ears and eyes, but he didn't comment. "If you want you can leave the wet things in the room, we can return them to you once they are clean..." He glanced down and frowned, what was he going to do for shoes....
James Binks-Rakosi lowered his head and scooted back inside to set the clothes on the bathroom floor. Once that was set he scooted back out and closed the door behind him. "i.. um..thank you.. for everything..." he took off the hat and held it in his hands to mess with it as he stood curl toed. "..and I do... a little.." he smiled weakly. ".. I'll survive.. I mean.. i've been through worse its just.. I.. overwhelm myself too much..." He shrugged gently and kept rocking in place. "This sweater feels nice."
Hikaru tilted his head at his nervousness while pondering what to do about shoes at the same time. "You're welcome.. but.. is something wrong Bink? Or is it possibly what happened in the shop still?" He slowly stood and rounded the cushioned table to stand by the chair.
James Binks-Rakosi shrugged again. " i... i've not been hugged by a master before.. that wanted to hug me." He spoke out and chewed on his lip piercing. "..i.. don't get things bought with me in mind... I don't get held by anyonebut Jehan... not since we came here." He sighed and lifted his head in his 'i'll be brave' sense. "Jehan... still gets emails and keeps in contact with his former Master. He was raised by him. Some nights that terrifies me to think that he was raised by.... horrible people.... I.... worry with.. my issues and health concerns... here.." he pet at his forehead to indicate his mind. "that I.. hold Jehan back... or tht i'm unfit for... all of this... then days like this.. it just stress me. Its silly thoughts, but... that's it really."
Hikaru thought about it a moment and debated a few things before he nodded. "I see..." Stepping away from the chair and toward Bink until he was within the smaller man's reach. "You can hug either Aydryan or I anytime you wish Bink, I doubt there would be a time that either of us would push you away." He paused, letting that sink in, feeling and hearing Aydryan agreeing with him.
James Binks-Rakosi smiled softly to that, " but.. is that right?" He chewed his lip piercing again, lowering his head again. "I mean.... Mr. Chaika... he never gave emotion. He'd insist that Poome of Jehan knew how to be everything he needed. i... I remember spending... more time than I'd like to think on... with him... to learn to be what was needed of me... and then.. here you all talk about being yourself.. and doing as you like... but.. is that right... for everyone. is it safe?"
Hikaru frowned, reaching out to gently touch the bottom of Bink's chin, lifting it. "Bink.. Aydryan and I.. are not Mr. Chaika. It is more than safe to be able to be yourself here... it's expected, as long as you follow the rules. We don't like force... instruction yes.. but..." He sighed fearing it wasn't making any sense. "What was it Mr. Chaika taught you that you were supposed to be?" His voice was gentle and kind, hopefully giving Bink the notion that if he didn't want to answer, he didn't have to.
James Binks-Rakosi lifted his hand, the one that held the hat still and drew up the sleeve with his free hand to show the wrist and all the scars akin to wounds one would inflict upon oneself. "That even in death, you have to do it only if your Master commands..." He smiled weakly. "Jehan told me Mr. CHaika had deep rolled me.... when it seemed my mind was completely breaking. He'd take every ounce of Pain I had in me so I wouldn't remember anything done to me. After the second time, his Animal Servant forbid him from doing it again... cause.. even know.. i know things.. I have memories... but its so... lost in me sometimes... but I do know how to follow every word Jehan says to the letter. Without question. it's what i'm.. supposed to do. and I love him.. so.. its ok when he does it."
Hikaru 's eyes fell on his wrist, his face shifting through several emotions while the hand that had touched his chin now rose to trace his fingertips over the scars on his wrist, lightly. "They.. made you.. do this? I don't... understand." He did and he didn't, not knowing fully the situation that jehan and Bink came from, but he knew what it was like to be in Bink's position, in a way at least.
"I... I don't remember it myself and that is what scares me. There are some moments I know... really.. well and others its knowing they happened but not remembering them... that is truly terrifying." he blushed to the touch and gave a soft smile. "Mr. Chaika... had a think for control. He didn't like Jehan with me because of what I am. And so he'd use me in every way to keep ahold of that control... because.. up until moving here... I thoguht all Vampires were about their control and power over others."
Hikaru wrapped his hand around that wrist and pulled Bink against him, then let go and wrapped his arms around him, loose enough that if he struggled, he would easily escape the embrace. Closing his eyes he sighed. "It is a balance for us, control, power, and ... something else. Loyalty. Friendship." He looked down at himand smiled "You love Jehan. You balance him out, correct? and he Balances you?"
Chris rolled out of bed ruffled his hair and standing doing some limbering exercises going over to the mirror pulling back his soft silk-like hair looking at his neck the scars were still visible but fadeing.. steping into the shower he made a soft sound as the water ran down his pale lumiecant skin.."
James Binks-Rakosi blinked to the hug, but he didn't turn it away. He liked the contact even if a part of his still feared... feared a pain that would come at the end of it. "I....well.. yes. I love Jehan. He... he gives me a reason to live. and I... I am Jehan's reason to live.. so yes.. it balances."
Christopher Whiteblaze jumps as his phone goes off while he was in the shower.. pokeing his head out fumbleing to grab his phone trying not to drop it or get it wet " H..hi Chris here""
Hikaru 's smile grew wider. "Then don't worry about the past, the why's or how's things came to be. Accept that they are, and enjoy it." He blinked, pulling his head back realizing that maybe he should take his own advice then smiled again. "You are Jehan's Pomme de Sang.. You take care of him, and he does you. In turn, Aydryan and I take care of the both of you. It's an odd.. family in a way." He didn't release Bink, and wouldn't until he pulled away from him.
James Binks-Rakosi chuckled faintly but still held onto HIkaru in the embrace. "Yeah... well Jehan wants more, but he is afraid to ask about fae blood and marks. He.... he is afraid of losing me."
Hikaru motioned with his head toward the couch, "Come on.. i can possibly answer them for you." He started moving, shifting slightly from the hug but keeping one arm around Bink and guiding him tot he couch. "The thing about knowledge Bink.. it's power. The more you know about something or someone, the better off you are in being able to stand up to it if you need to. We won't take you from Jehan, I already promised him that. I take my promises very seriously."
on the phone Chris's own blush flared a bit and she would hear a trill in his soft chuckle a very bird-like sound.. he steped out of the shower water dripping to the small rug along his pale frame. his damp hair clinging to his body the dim lighting causeing the water drops to glisten.." I am not sure if I have to work tonight .. probably should since I have been asleep the last couple of nights.. but i will ask when I go down stairs.. I have been ok.. ruff week but getting better" tries to wring out his hair with one hand slips a bit on the tile and lands on the floor makes a odd sound.. as he drops the phone and scrambles to retrive it his face practically glowing and glad he had no audience for that ungraceful landing."
"it's not you he's afraid of, Mr. Hikaru." Bink followed, seeming the most relaxed that he has been all night. "He's afraid of me growing old and dying on him." He sat on the couch, sitting more towards the front half, " You see... I have aged, since he first met me. Not a whole lot, but i've grown a couple of inches. So at some point I will get older and older.. Jehan fears that. He doesn't want me to live like him... but neither of us know what I can and can't do to know what he can and can't do... if that made any sense."
Hikaru nodded slowly "nothing wrong with change either... but I can understand his fear." He was looking at Bink intently for a moment, his gaze soft. "Perhaps your Fae blood will override your humanity. I cannot say. The future is uncertain Bink, something not to be worried about too far in advance. You and Jehan are together, here. Now. Enjoy and savor it."
James Binks-Rakosi frowned, his face seeming to droop at its corners. Were his ears visable they'd be drooping too, "But I don't want to lose my humanity. That's something Jehan loves about me. I... just want whatever I am to be something that will not make Jehan worry and be happy. I want that of everyone. I don't like going places and having people look at me like I'm some weird eginma.. that I'm a problem because I am what i am. I don't even know what I am!"
Hikaru smiled, reaching out for Bink and touching his shoulder lightly, then giving him a small nudge to the side, playfully of course. "We come back to what I had originally said then. You are Bink. Child of a Fae Lord, and a human mother. Yu are a bright, shining glimmer in the darkness. Nothing compares to you Bink. No one will ever come close or be able to impersonate you. That is what you are." He paused, his smile fading a bit, no longer flashing the hint of fangs at the young man. "Who you are, however, is up to you. It is in here." He touched Bink's chest, over his heart. "And in here." His hand rose up and he lightly ruffled the hair on the top of his head. "Only you can decide who you are, and want to be."
Christopher Whiteblaze sliped a few times getting up from the wet floor... useing the towel he had grabed to mop up the water.. grabing another towel to wrap around his waist as he searched for some clothes he would dress as if he were working tonight but added his leather straps from the other night in lew of the suspenders.. and adding gloves but not covering his hands anymore there were still burn scars maring the soft skin of his left hand but they were more faded once he was dressed he took on the task of brushing his hair and drying it leaveing it a touch damp pulling on his boots .. and takeing a last check of his image he picked the towel up off the floor and put it in a hamper then started for the door."
James Binks-Rakosi whined playfully and reached up to wiggle hands over his head. "Whhhhhhhhy does everyone ruffle my haaaaair!" He play sobbed and 'threw' himself back into th pillow. "it takes forever to brus hand it jsut gets ruffled back up.... oh... os not fair!!!"
Hikaru chuckled then sighed, standing up to move to the desk and bringing back a brush he kept in there. Sitting back down he motioned for Bink to scoot back over so he could brush it out for him. "I'm sorry.. I didn't know you didn't like that. Though... you are cute when ruffled."
Christopher Whiteblaze nudges the door open slightly and waiting to hearany sounds in the outer room.. he did not want to interupt a meeting or disturb Aydryan or Hikaru if they were working.. his cheeks were deep rose color and his scent fresh and vibrant.. and as he opened the door his stomach would announce his hunger he heard Hikaru's voice and movement.. and almost ducked back in the room.."
James Binks-Rakosi humphed in a light jest, his cheek still a pae pink as he moved obediently to allow HIkaru the chance to brush his hair. "I don't mind it.. its just...everyone does it! I don't get it. No one else gets their hair ruffled all the time. Why does everyone ruffle me?"
Hikaru chuckled again, gently pulling his hair out from under his collar and slowly brushing it, gentle, even when he found a tangle or two. "Maybe they think you are cute, or want to see that reaction when they do?" He paused, continuing the strokes of the brush through Bink's hair. He had heard the soft sound of the door behind opening, and with a small intake of breath knew Chris was there. "You can join us Christopher. I would like you to meet Bink."
Christopher Whiteblaze blushed and smiled he knew no matter how quiet he was Hikaru would have sensed him there.. blinking he steped out and smiled brighter seeing the one called Binks he rembered he had seen him several times here at the club and once as he passed by the candy shop but had not ever really met him " HI Binks.. good to met you .. I can't really stay and I would hate to disturb your chat .. um Viv.. is suposed to met me down stairs .. -runs his fingers thru his hair nervousely- she said something about a hike.. "-pats his pocket got my phone.. Hikaru.. so if you need me or if something happens.. I don't think it will but you know expect the unexpected right" another nervous chuckle"
James Binks-Rakosi blushed and tried to duck his head abit, "I'm not that cute really... but thank you." He giggled until HIkaru addressed Chris and likwise when Chris addressed Hikaru. He was polite and waved when spoken to, but mostly listened. That is until..." OOOH!" He inhaled sharply and stood up. "oh...ho! my phone!" He squeaked and slipped passed Chris to he bathrom to rummage through the open package he store his drying clothes in. He liftedo ut a phone.. that was rather waterlogged and wouldn't turn on. "...I drowned it again..."
Hikaru turned his head to look at Chris, then blinked. "You are hiking in that? and.. Who is Viv?" he couldn't help being protective of Chris. His attention shifted to Bink when he wiggled away into the bathroom, only to return with a waterlogged phone. "It's alright Bink... if you let it dry it will work again. Trust me.. i know.. Aydryan tries flushing his phone about once a week."
Christopher Whiteblaze blushies feircely " Well its all I had here and wasn't sure if I was needed to dance.. I may try to go back to the church for another shirt.. been trying to find a place maybe closer but I feel safe there even when .. alone.. Vivian she is new in town works at the herb shop.. I met her at the park .. last week sometime.. we talked she is nice.. and well I sort of ran out on her when I got the um -bites his lip- call from Rif.. that i should have ignored.."
James Binks-Rakosi whimpered as he cradled the phone, " but.. what if jehan was trying to call me. What if he's off work." He gasped and covers his mouth with his hands and waterlogged phone, " What if he's out wanderign the streets looking for me now!" He blinked and quietly, sudden;y fee;ing ackward to be in the middle of their conversation. He sat o nthe edge of hte couch and fidgetted in his impish nervousness.
Hikaru nods slowly, still wondering but he knew he had to trust Chris's judgment, even though it had been lacking lately. he pulled out his phone and offered it to Bink. "Call him then." a soft smile was given before he turned back to Chris. "There are spare clothes in the bottom drawers of the dresser for both you and Dodge."
James Binks-Rakosi took the phone from Hikaru, the nonwaterlogged one and smiled brightly, " Oh thank you!" He dialed the number quickly, having Jehan's number commited to memory and pressed send. He wiggled in place as he waited for the vampire to pick up.
Hikaru gently tapped Bink's shoulder, encouraging him to turn around again so he could finish brushing his hair and smiled at how ecited he was to be talking to Jehan. He also remembered he needed to talk to him too, but not here.. at the tattoo parlor. Changes were going to be made.
Jehan was just standing there agaisnt the glass wall. . Stareing off at nothing. Badly enough that somone nearby had commented on the lifelike manakin . It wasn't until that phone rang and he managed a blink or two before he pulled it out considered the number a moment and quietlly ...for all the noise in the club at least. answered it " hello?
James Binks-Rakosi while the phone rang he turned back around so Hikaru could continue the hair brushing. As Jehan answered he sat up and smiled brightly, "Jehan!!" he chimed lightly, " ... I.. I had a bad day and sat in water with all ym clothes on again. my phones still all wet, But Mr. Hikaru let me use his. I worried I worried you again."
Jehan leaned his head agasint the cool glass and smiled slightly ,"I figured you'd be safe. Everyone is adopting you again . I supposed i'd find you eventually at least before dawn .
Hikaru used the brush gently through Bink's hair , following his head as he straightened with a small chuckle. He could hear both sides of the conversation, though he tried not to, it was a hard thing to not do.
James Binks-Rakosi " oh... well... ok." He was smiling, but he wasn't sure if he was suppose to remain happy or be hurt. "I'm upstairs in Fangbangers if you need me then, Jehan."
Jehan straightened ,"That's funny I'm downstairs in Fangbangers absently thinking about you and holding up a wall ..but you are ok you said?
James Binks-Rakosi curled his toes and smiled to the response and nodded, even if Jehan couldn't see it. "yes... I.. still overall feel bad, but its a much better evening that the day has been."
Hikaru finished removing the tangles from Bink's hair and leaned over to set the brush down on the cushioned table, the leaned back into the cushions, though he tapped Bink's shoulder lightly and motioned to the phone. He wanted to speak with Jehan when he was done as well.
Jehan moved back to his leaning on the wall and nodded . he could hear the smile in that voice at least. That was a sound well known to him . He jsut listened to it for a long moment befor ehe answered," ready to come home?
James Binks-Rakosi "yes! I'll be right down, kay!" Yeah.. that answered that. "He giggled and turned towards Hikaru. "I'm going to give the phoen to Mr. Hikaru. He wants to talk to you.
Jehan laughed softly I will wait for you. red room " he remained relaxed though there was a tilt of head as he pondered what Hikaru needed to say and he would offer a bright enough greeting" Hey ...you don't know of any waterproof phones do you ?
Hikaru took the phone from Binks and chuckled "Not offhand... I am still looking for one that is shatterproof, and that I can superglue to Aydryan's hip." He was shaking his head and standing, moving tot he safe room after motioning for Bink to wait a moment. "I was wondering if you had time to go over the design... and of course.. wondering how Remiel was doing." He pulled out a pair of shoes, checked the size to bink's soaked ones, and nodded, about a half size larger, they should do well enough. Returning from the saferoom he handed them, and a pair of socks, to Bink.
James Binks-Rakosi squeaked thankfully and put on socks and shoes. He was sudenly excited to be going down to see Jehan. He felt like it'd been ages.
" hrm well I think the houseguest is settling in calming down a little . I had work today including the final lay out on the design and a few piercings . Its always funny the kids that come in thinking the fangs are fake and they can get away with telling me they really are old enough to get ink or pierced. . But yeah.. when you are ready next couple a days we can work on it"
Hikaru nodded for Bink to head on down and waited until he heard the outer door close. "I hope he's not being too much trouble." Chuckling at the idea of a kid trying to lie to Jehan, or any vampire. "I tried some screwed up stuff in my day... but the kids these.. " He sighed. "Alright.. would tomorrow work for you?"
James Binks-Rakosi rushes out the door in a light skip and winds down the hall, across the building and down the stairs. the shoes being big were a little clungy for him, hie he didn't seem to care. He walked up to where he saw jehan... ywned and leaned on him.
Jehan shook his head a bit though it couldnt be seen," no . no trouble. But then he is not in public in any other threatenign location yet. Working on it though and sure tomorrow night would be great. I have a couple appointments early but they are easy stuff. ill give you a call when the chair is clear. Tell yo uabout my days of being trouble sometime" Then Bink arrived and he grinned at him and slid an arm about him as he continued the call" Thanks for taking in my wet one. "
Hikaru chuckled nodding, though he couldn't see it. "Sounds good. I'll try to keep myself open tomorrow night. It was no trouble though.. really Jehan. Bink is a treasure. Good night."
"night, Boss" he teased gently before hanging up and glancing down at the nearly sleepwalking Bink . Phone was slipped away even as he turned to catch him up with a playfull move settling him piggyback though half draped over his shoulders as he wove through the patrons and to the door
