James Binks-Rakosi wandered out of the catacombs. His kitty pack looked a little bloated. In its belly was three sammiches of jelly and Peanut Butter, a thermos of apple juice and a bottle of water, 5 apples, a flash light, his MP3 player, Off... for mosquitos, and a bag full of candy! Yes.... Binky had got hismelf prepared.. to brave the edges of the WIlderness!!!! It was bold and daring of him. and it was something he didnt tell ANYONE he was doing. Binky was being bad... yes... hanging on the outskirts of town..... what a rebel!
Selia Atisso walked around the stream a little searching for the little fox she'd seen the other day, it had been awfully close to the city, animals like that only go close to human cities if they're hungry. She carried a little baggie of food for it, spotting the little guy by a tree she moved up close "it's ok little guy, here I brought you some food" careful not to spook the fox she laid the food down on the ground and backed away kneeling quietly as it slinked forward and ate the bits hungrily
James Binks-Rakosi walked across the last street and stood between Stan and George. He looked up at both buildings and shuddered from their shadow. Meancing they were! He scooted back, cowering fro mthem when he remembered. "wait.. i'm a BAD boy!... i.. I can stand up to the buildings!" He chirped and waggled a finger at Stan. "you don't scare me!!" He hopped in place, taunting the buildings to give himself self esteem to walk on further.. to the edge of TOWN!
Isabella Bouvier felt the night chill, she considered to go home and grabb a coat.. But then squashed the thought. She wanted to be cold, cold as Ice.. She wanted it to consume her, and numb her against all that she felt she was about to face.. No more warmth. Even when the sun rose high, shinning its bright rays down upon the earth, she would seek no comfort from it. Never again she thought.. Her eyes lifted to the other side of the street, seeing Bink.. giving her pause in her steps.. She thought of Deo, and all that she said last night.. She wanted to protect him, and the others.. Even if it brought her pain and terror.. She ran her hands up and down the side of her arms, out of habit before she caught herself.. She moved and leaned against the wall.. Watching, speculating.. waiting
Selia Atisso giggled as the little fox nuzzled her hand licking her fingers, it was friendly, then again most animals seemed to get along with her, she reached up slowly and scritched it behind the ears before it turned and bounded off "bye" she called after it waving, standing she straightened her skirt a little, never good to ruin the few clothes she had. she turned toward the town, now that there was a treaty she was allowed to go there, she so wanted to explore
James Binks-Rakosi felt PUMPED! and bounced like he was. He took his first steps forward, still bounding before he at least started to walk forward. He made it all th way to the edge of the cement!! He gasped and looked down at it. "Oh goodness! its the last of the man made stuff! After this... is no more town!" why... was he explaining himself.. to himself.... because all adventurers did so.. and he was bad. a bad boy. He could say what he wanted.
Selia Atisso walked out of the woods looking around, moving quickly she came up behind one of the buildings, she looked up and realized she wasn't alone, ducking behind the corner of a building she peeked out at the man who approached, he seemed to be talking to himself, she wasn't sure but was also unsure if he was scary or not, she hid behind the corner and peeked out at him not wanting to be noticed
James Binks-Rakosi kicked out his foot into the air and wiggled it over teh grass. He acted liek he was gonig to step on it before he gasped and held out his arms. "WAAAAAAAAAIT!" he told... his imaginaary friends... or a fly... or a fairy.. soemthing? "I have to thank the grass for being so pretty and green before I can tred on it. IT's the good adventurer thing to do!" He set hsi foot on the pavement's edge adn sqautted down, pettign the grass. "Thank you grass. you are so pretty!" Now... he stood up and was ready. He kicked out his foot into the air and wiggled it about before taking his first step onto the grass on teh outskirts of town.
Selia tilts her head wondering who he's talking to, she peeks around the corner and looks down the street, nope nobody there, maybe he was talking to the grass... she decides he doesn't seem too scary and peeks out a little "um.. hello?" she says in a quiet voice
James Binks-Rakosi was so preoccupied staring at teh grass of the outskirts of town!! that he never noticed Selia i nteh corner, so as she spoke, he squeaked loudly, jumping back in alarm. His arm flailed all around as he leaned baack aghas to the grass. "My GOODNESS!!!" He chirped in surprise. "The gras... TALKS to me! You are special grass... here o nthe outskirts of town, aren't you? This is the best adventure ever!!"
Selia puts her hand over her mouth and muffles a giggle realizing what he was saying she steps forward a little "no... it was me, not the grass, I don't think it talks" she smiled but kept to the corner of the building, she could run if he turned out to be scary
James Binks-Rakosi blushed deeply, as he looked up. novel idea.. this looking up, and saw Selia. " oh.... OH!" He giggled himself and rubbed at the back of his neck. Yeah... he felt... silly. Regardless he still looked back down at teh grass and stage whispered. "I still think you're pretty special even if you can't talk!" Looking back to Selie he cleared his throat and timidly hugged at himself. "Heyla, Ma'am.... I... I was... um... playin adventurer...."
Selia smiles and nods to him in a mini bow, she was too used to bowing, she knew humans didn't do it much, she'd have to stop that "I'm not a ma'am, I'm just Selia, and adventurers are brave, you look like a good adventurer" she giggled and looked down at the grass "it is very pretty grass, I think it would like you if it could talk"
James Binks-Rakosi smiled softly, not feeling quite so ackward after teh compliment. "Than kyou, Miss Selia." His own habit always kept a tiny bit of formality to his words. He couldn't realyl shake it, though he did try often. Finding himself in that ackward silence now, he began to rock back and forth on his feet, mouthing to hismelf as he rocked, " say somethign..say something... conversations are good... think think..." He chirped softly, stopping with the coming of his one idea for a conversation. "You are on the outskirts of town too!" He announced softly. Are you an adventurer too?"
Selia giggled again and nodded quickly "yes, I think I am, though I'm not a brave adventurer I don't think" she looked down the street "I live in the woods, I was going to try to be brave today and come to the city, they said I could come to the city now... but ... it's kind of scary"
James Binks-Rakosi blinked, and tilted his head to her as she spoke. "You... live in th woods?" He heard of people living in the woods before.. and some of the shifters too, but she didn't look like a shifter. He gasped at the thought, the tension that she could be one of those terrifying beings creeping up his spine. "...oh... I... i hope its.. in a very nice and not so.... psychopathic movie murderer.... shifter go growl growl.... kind of manner." He bobbled his head, giving the best smile he could... but it was little. He jsut managed to spoke himself.
Selia looked at him and wondered that he seemed suprised, she thought all must know of them by now, "well... yes, sort of, there's a place in the woods where people... like me can live" she kept to the corner of the building wondering if he figured out what she was if she'd be in danger "Did ... did you not know some people lived in the woods?"
James Binks-Rakosi chuckled gently, bobbling his head, "Well.. yes. Woodsman, and shifters.. and.. and vampries and reclusive writers and homicidal folk all live in the woods. I've read many books and seen many movies about it!" He nodded again, proud of his answer and he glowed with that pride. really glowed. like a shimmer of something that was way cuter than your average type person, but that could have been surmised by the tangerine orange of his glittering eyes. "OH! I forgot grandmothers. Grandmother's live in the woods too!"
Selia blinks and tilts her head, he was glowing... she looked at him closely "you're sidhe?!" she said in half shock and half question... he must be, she'd never heard of anything else glowing like that.. "How do you not know of the woods? Of ... your own kind in the woods"
James Binks-Rakosi paled to her calling him out. Oh no... now he was going to get it! He whined and reached up cupping his ears that were still hidden by his glamour. Sure... he still could't feel the difference, but the 'sight' or lack of was still in tact. Same for the tri color of his eyes. they too were still hiding, but he squinting his eyes so tight one couldn't see they still loked tangerine. "What Sdhe.. n-n-no.... this.. um... its... my costume!... for.. something important.. yeah... but..um... I f-f-forget.. and.. uh... oh! I think I have to go!" To a athrom or a hallway with a mirror to check himself... to rehide the parts of him that were still well hidden.
Selia steps forward quickly and reaches her hand out "wait?!! you don't have to go, I won't tell anyone if you don't want em to know, I promise" she sighed and dropped her arm "I've had to hide before too, I know what it's like... I'm.. I'm only half sidhe which is too much for some and not enough for others" she offers in a form of explanation "I promise, if you want it to be a secret, I won't tell"
James Binks-Rakosi sniffled. He was panicing so hard he was about to cry. Of course, her words too were still ringing in his cupped ears. He blinked and raised his chin to her. "...you..you too?" That... confused him. and made him really curious.. and oddly happy. He never heard anyone that said that to him before. But.. she could be lying. silly people and their sillier lies! He opened his eyes and squinted them at her suspsciously. "How.. How do I know you are?" It wasn't like he knew he could quiz her. He still couldn't figure out when he glmaour was on!
Selia stepped forward a little and brushed her hair up to show her ears "I'm only half... I don't really have any sidhe abilities" she frowned knowing that such statements usually ended up in people looking down on her "my... my momma was a brownie" she offers trying to explain why she was so small and not the pretty white skin of the sidhe "I'm .. not sure how to prove it"
James Binks-Rakosi smiled, his own ears only slightly pointed themselves.... least glmaoured. He never could figure out how to attain a complete round ear. He closed his eyes tight and made a silly grunt sound as he was whispering, " come off.. come off..." like that.. would make his glamour go away. It didn't work. and in the end he had to move his hand over his head in 'wiping motions. It was the only way he could do it on his own. "My.. my daddy was a Sidhe noble person.... my mom was human... that is what my parents told me, when they told me I wasn't theirs anymore..." He never really knew if that clasified as "half". He assumed so because it wasn't like there was any record of it with his real parents. they were dead.
Selia smiled back at him, he didn't seem to think less of her for being only half "oh, I guess that's the same with me, I never knew my dad either, my momma said he was sidhe... but I guess he wasn't necessairly full one." she walked down the hill a little and looked at his ears realizing that he must have used glamor "I can't glamor at all really, I try but it never works for me" she tugs on her hair "it's why I wear my hair like this, only way I can hide my ears"
James Binks-Rakosi smiled brightly. He was even bouncing in place. A real live Fae! jsut like him. He'd dreamed of meeting someone that would say they were like him. NO one was ever like him. He was so anxious.. he could have fainted. HE coughed then and sputtered before scampering up to her. He had forgotten to breathe. "..oh! ... 8cough* i.. *cough cough*.... I can help with that! I ..well.. you're the first fae I met that wasn't my own reflection." ... or that he knew was a Fae... "But... Dr. Chaika. He helped me learn so I could live in the regular world and go to school and marry Jehan and all of that. It was part of my treatment. I have to envision what I want myself to look like and draw it on me like so!" and there he went 'wiping the air about his head again. "..and.. and I have to center and call my energies. it's like calling one's Beast, he says.. but not.. because I'm not a cool cat like he is..."
Selia smiled and shook her head "I've tried but I can't seem to get it to work, but maybe your method would help me too. Dr Chaika helped you? Is he a fae too?" she was so happy to meet someone who was nice "You went to school? That's so neat, I didn't know any fae went to school" he had rattled off so much she couldn't keep track of it all she was very happy and he seemed so too
James Binks-Rakosi shook his head, " No... Dr. Chaika is a wereleopard. A nimitz... um.. that's not right..." he blushed and tapped his fingers upon his lower lip as he thought and spoke quietly, " nimsey.... no... um...nickerbockers!... no... nummyrackies... that's not right. oh... gosh darn it! Top leopard in his city." He frustrated himself trying to think of the title and huffed. "He's really smart though... jsut like his Vampire Master... Mr. Chaika..." He paled then and held himself as he had to mention -that- name... " but... um... Mr. Chaika... he's not as friendly... or nice... yeah..." He gulped and swayed side to side to comfort himself as he tried to change the subject. "yes... Dr. Chaika and Jehan told me I had wanted to be a marine biologist.. but.. I can't really.. remember... I think... but anyway... since I did, I went to college and I have a Bachelor's degree in biology!" .. the shock the world wouldn't know... Bink was smart. Who knew.... "I.. well.. I was supposed to be going to school for my masters..but... I don't want to."
Selia nods and listens to his story finding it fascinating "wow... you went to school and to college... I've only been taught in the kitchens and stuff, I mean... I've never been smart but school sounded so interesting" she paused a minute, the name seemed familiar "You're married you said? Is the one you're married to fae also?" she was curious that there might be more fae in the town
James Binks-Rakosi blinked to her question and blushed, thinking of jehan. Thinking of him also made him blush and feel warm and safe inside. "Jeahn? No.. he's not a Fae. YOu're teh first Fae i've ever met that wasn't me. Jehan's a vampire."
Selia looks a little suprised "And... he knows your fae... do others know?" after the reception they'd had, the frightening way the vampires had acted finding out they were fae... she couldn't believe they had a fae in their midst, a half sidhe just like her, and ... he wasn't afraid of them
James Binks-Rakosi " Of course, Jehan knows. He saved my life. he -is- my life!" He chirped standing up as he spoke of his love. "I wouldn't be alive if he wasn't there to look after me and protect me and keep me safe. Jehan is my everything." He was blushing again, his thoughts returning to the vampire. "ym..." he almost didn't want to tell her.. but he was so excited he babbled alot of other information he wasn't upposed to tell others. But it had to be ok to tell Selia. She was a Fae! "Um... well Jehan's Master knows. the one that raised him... and his Master here. As Jehan says, the ones that need to know to help keep me safe from harm so I can live freely.. know."
Selia nods understanding the need for protection "are... the new rules going to affect you too?" she sighed, wondering if the treaty they'd created to keep the fae safe would make his life harder, she liked him and didn't want his happy life messed up by stupid politics
James Binks-Rakosi his ears twitched and lowered a bit as he thought long and hard. "...Rules...?" He hmmed softly and chewed on his lower lip. "you mean.... like laws?.. they... the city hasn't passed a new law. there wasn't even a vote." Bink knew vampire politics. He 'grew up' as far as he could remember around them. Some days he felt he knew vampire politics better than human politics. The conflict of Fae and vampires.... he didn't know about. especially on the fae half. "or maybe it was passed.. I haven't been reading the newspaper much this week.."
Selia shrugs she wasn't sure how the vampires told other vampires about treaties and stuff like that "well it wasn't a law, sort of an agreement between fae and vampires" she smiled trying not to make him worry "I'm sure it won't affect you though, I mean you're married, they shouldn't mess with your marriage I'm sure" smiling warmly she decided to change the subject, she had just met him, why should she be the bearer of bad news "So... the vampires aren't scary to you? they don't..." she was thinking to ask that they don't hate him like they seem to hate all fae but decided to be careful with the subject "It's good you found people to keep you safe, the world can be kinda scary for all of us"
James Binks-Rakosi smiled, though he wasn't entirely comforted. He knew to ask Jehan about it when he got home, but.. it had to be for curiousities sake. If it really was that bad.. Jehan would have told him. They shared everything. "yes.. yes I am married." He smiled a little, thinking of that pact between them, the bond with the pretty rings. "Mr. Chaika is terrifying!" He chirped suddenly. "He's really old and mean.. and... he hurts you so you can be stronger... and... and..." He cut himself off, biting down on his lip. Morion was always a bad subject for him. "But... he's a bad vampire. The vampires here are good vampires. MIss Nikki explained it to me. they protect everyone here. The Masters of the City do all the way down the line. It is a good vampire city."
Selia nods and looks a bit saddened, it was good they protected him, but she realized the same vampires he spoke of were the ones that hated her kind so much... bink must be the exception to the rule somehow, she hid her expression as best she could and smiled at him "It's wonderful that your so safe here, I hope Mr Chaika is a long ways away so he can't hurt you ever again. I don't think I've ever met Miss Nikki, she sounds very nice and smart"
James Binks-Rakosi smiled, " Mr. Chaika is exiled to the island he lives on by the vampire Council. HE can't leave or they'll kill him." Though he often wished he would leave it so they would..."Miss Nikki works at Fang bangers! That's my hoem away from home. She taught the whole staff to make this wonderful drink. Its a bunch of fruit juices all mixed together and when you drink it it makes your mouth go BAM!! with fruity sugary goodness!" He giggled, the excitement of his now signature drink ringing out fro mthe outskirts of town. He too got sad though after a moment. "I haven't.. seen Miss Nikki around lately. She.. she may be on a vacation. I'll probaby ask Miss Jeanette about it when I go to the club next..." He shook off his thought and coked his head to study her. "You're sad. I'm babbling again, aren't i? I.. sorry.. i.. forget myself alot and... I've never met another fae that wasn't me before!!"
Selia laughs at his excited description of his drink "oooh I wonder if I can try it some time, I love fruitie sweet drinks" she beams his energy was contagious "You're talking doesn't bother me at all, I miss having someone to talk to, it's so wonderful to meet someone like me.. I've met other sidhe but... they're full bloods and ... well they're different" she decided not to explain that full blooded sidhe didn't usually like half bloods like herself, why dwell on the sad, meeting someone new who was actually like her was a wonderful thing wasn't it? "I've never really met someone like myself, we have a lot in common, I'm so glad I decided to try to come to the city today" she beams happily
James Binks-Rakosi beamed right back at her, " Yes! it is!! And.. and next tiem you come.. I'll show you the drink and everyone and.. and.. the candy store I work at.. oh its great fun...oh... snap!" He actualyl snapped at the side of his head with his fingers as he said the word aloud. "BINK!" He blushed deeply. "I'm called Bink! I forgot to give introductions again.. oh.. i knew i was going to do soemthing wrong..."
Selia laughed and shook her head "you didn't do anything wrong at all! It's great to meet you Bink.. Oooh you work at a candy store??!!! How do you work there and not eat all the sweeties? I'd eat all the sweeties if I worked there... I love sweeties especially butter brickle and sugar pops and ice cream, I Loooooove ice cream" she laughs and realizes she's babbling too "Do you think it'd be ok if I came to the club some time? They didn't say we couldn't go there, and lots of people seem to have fun there... I'd like to go there too and have fun"
James Binks-Rakosi giggled faintly, "Miss maddy.. she's my boss. She gives me a bag of candy every day I work as a thank you. I mean.. I still get a regular paycheck too... but that way I won't eat all the candy. I love it all too much!" He laughed honestly and bobbled his head, " I think so. Everyone there at fang bangers is nice. Miss JEanette scolds you though if you drink too much jucie at once. Its bad for you.. and ALejandro... he ruffles your hair and makes its allllll messy and Mis Zoe is there. She is sweet. She wears plastic wings!!" He blinked and mad a little face, "I GUESS Tao is nice too.. he's the security person thinger.. but... he's scary to me."
Selia nods and laughs trying to remember all the names "wow you know a lot of people, I think I met the ... um Tao, he was kinda scary but I guess guards are supposed to be scary, I didn't really meet anyone else..." she sighed she'd been there to get a message and was to scared to really pay attention to anyone "I was kinda scared when I was there, so I didn't really meet anyone, but... maybe I can come sometime and not be near the scary people, the people on the dance floor looked happy, and the music was fun to hear... I like music, ,it's fun to hop around and dance, do you like to dance? That's great she gives you candy you're soooo lucky, I love all kinds of candy too"
James Binks-Rakosi blinked, " i.. I don't really know anyone.." His voice faltered as he thought back on that. He knew Jehan, obviously. He married the man! He knew Remiel. Jehan took care of him and Remi read him bedtime stories all the time and he was sweet adn kind and always cooked. Miss Zoe was afraid of remi, but she was nice and talked with Binky even if scary things like to follow her and she had plastic wings! Mr. Aydryan looked alot liek Jehan and was quiet but kind which he found strange... Morion was quiet and mean. But Aydryan had a nice smell to him and he hugged well. Mr. Hikaru was also nice and always came to say hello to Bink and wore a nifty hate and then... He blushed deeply, still thinking over everyone in his head. "...wow....I never knew I had friends before...."
Selia laughed at his suprise "well you're really nice, you should have lots of friends, nice people should have friends, that's what's wrong with the world, if everyone had more friends I think people wouldn't be so mean sometimes" she nodded her head matter of factly "You know lots of people, you've already mentioned tons of people, I don't even know a few people, I could count the ones I know on one hand" she held up her hand and wiggled her fingers "and even then they don't all think of me as a friend" she paused and frowned "I only really have one really good friend, she's really nice and takes good care of me when I get into trouble or get scared... those are the best friends to have too"
James Binks-Rakosi frowned softly, " I'll be your friend. That way you'll have more to count and the higher number the count the more you smile. I know. I've seen enough people counting high numbers to know they get excied by it. "He grinned, "But more than that. You're nice too and we're the same! It's wonderful! We should be friends for a logn time, Miss Selia."
Selia smiled brightly looking eager "yes please, I'd love to be your friend, you're really nice, I need nice friends... I'm a good friend too I promise" she beams and holds up her hand with two fingers out and giggles wiggling them "Yep you're right, more numbers does make me much happier, thank you bink"
James Binks-Rakosi giggled to herfinger wiggling and nodded, "Well jehan will be your friend, and Miss Zoe probably will." he couldn't speak so freely with remiel. Much as he wanted... he was a strange vampire...."I'll help you with your numbers!"
Selia laughs and nods "You are a very good friend Bink, I'm so glad I met you... I've never ever met someone like me, it's so amazing we met when we both wanted to be brave and have an adventure" she laughed remembering how much she had debated even leaving the sithern that day "I don't know if your friends will want to be my friend too but It's so sweet of you to think they might"
"I know they will. I have trust in them." It was odd. He could recall up to a day ago feeling that trust was hard to come by, but the more the thought on this number of friends.. the more he realized.. he was trusting. He knew he'd have to thank then all, but he'd do that tomorrow. In the meantime, he had this new friend now with him. "Miss Selia... why... why are others mean to you...?"
She frowned at the question and dropped her eyes out of habit "they don't like fae, and... I can't hide it as well as others can" she shuddered a little and hugged herself "I ... I don't really know why, most of them don't even know my name they just... they just hate us"
"I'm... i'm not hated." He chewed on his lip and sighed gently. "Well... Fae peoples... the yare really strong and they like to use and control vampires. Jehan told me that once. ANd some of he Masters... they don't like that because thay hurts the ones they care for. and they don't want them hurt... so... So Masters do kind of scare teh fae away so they can protect the people they care for. But its.. it's not realyl a hate. They just don't trust you."
Selia 's eyes glisten a little as she fights back tears "I've never hurt anyone, I'd never hurt anyone... I don't know how to control people and I wouldn't even if I could" she bursts out shaking her head fast "I wouldn't I wouldn't, I don't hurt people"
James Binks-Rakosi pulled his pack from his back and unzipped the belly, rummaging through it quickly for a napkin. He handed it to her and zipped up his kitty pack, slipping it back over his shoulders. "There...well.. you see... people here.. they are mostly humans, you know? and they.. well they are scared cause some people turn furry and they eat meat and howl really loud, so they don't trust others that do that... and then there are people like my Jehan... that sleep all day and have fangs and... and drink blood from them.... they don't trust that either.... and then there are fae... they do magic things that.. I'm not realyl sure what we all do.. but it makes them not trust ether.. cause everyone doesn't trust another because even if you and I don't hurt. there is someone out there that says 'i'm a Fae', that does. and because there are people that can say that... and be mean to others... no one will ever trust anyone else." he nodded and smiled confortingly to Selia. "I think they all need more friends."
Selia dabs at the tears that escaped and sighs "sorry" she says meekly "I try not to cry" she sniffels and takes a deep breath trying to calm down "You'd think... if all of them are used to people not trusting them they'd understand that ... that maybe we are like them? that... that we aren't bad like they're not bad... my friends don't want to hurt anyone either... Mira is really nice when you get to know her" she sighed and nodded "yeah, maybe we just all need more friends ... then people won't be so scary"
James Binks-Rakosi nodded gently, "You shouldn't..." he began, his voice soft and soothing. It was a different kind of soothing, a sound that warmed the soul.. much as the glow of his body see,ed to warm the mind. "Hold back your tears, I mean. You shouldn't do that. People can't know if you're sad to help you if they don't know you're crying, and keeping that sadness locked inside you.. it hurts your heart, you know."
Selia smiled feeling better she sighed and nodded "I know, just, me crying makes other people sad, and I don't want to make other people sad just cause I'm sad, then everyone would be sad and that's ... sad"
"It is sad.. but.. its also painful.. like.. what if a tree didn't want to shed its leaves because it would upset the other trees so it held onto them no matter what.. and then all the trees did so.. and.. they wouldn't shed their leaves for winter and they'd be in a lot of pain come the spring. Sure its sad that moment the leavs fall, but.. but afterwards they are all together and stronger for sharing the sadness and from that become happier than they'd ever be keeping it all inside."
Selia nods and without thinking seems to be hugging the napkin to her she smiles "you're very smart Bink, and I feel a lot better. I guess it makes sense that they wouldn't like fae if they had met mean fae before, but... just because one person is mean doesn't mean all people like em are that's just wrong to think that way... so I'm going to show people we're not all mean" she smiles brightly "Then maybe they'll like me and be nice to the other fae who are nice too"
James Binks-Rakosi nodded gently, " I think that is a great idea. and I'll help too as best i can!" He didn't know exactly how to prove all fae were nice when he couldn't really act like a Fae himself... but for his new friend whom was a fae too... he would try. Try until he couldn't try any longer.
Selia smiles "Just being my friend is enough, I don't know how to make people like me, I usually get scared and hide.... but I guess I can't hide if I need them to know we're not all mean" she sighs, she was good at hiding, not so good at other stuff like talking to people "You have already helped me a ton Bink, you are a very good friend, you really really are" she smiles and nods her head emphasizing what she says
James Binks-Rakosi giggled, " I'm glad. Oh!" he chirped and puled off his pack again, unzipping the bely he rummaged and pulled from the kitty his bag of candies he had prepared for his adventures. He zipped up the bag and held out hte candy as he fixed his pack back over his shoulders. "Here.. I was going to save it for when I needed a pick me up on my adventures today, and you said you like sweets, so you can have it. I have plenty more at home. It's special courage candies, ok? so don't eat them all at once, just when you need the pick me up of courage."
Selia takes the bag and looks at it like it's the most special thing in the world she looks back up at him "are you sure? I... I don't want to take all your candy, I mean what if you need special courage candy" she held it as if handing it back to him, she wasn't used to people giving her anything, this was strange but she was worried she would do something wrong and he would be mad and want his candy back
"I'm sure. Jehan gets the candy for me, so I know I'll have more. Besides friends share, so you are welcome to it. My treat!"
Selia smiles and looks down at the candy holding it carefully "thank you, it's so very nice of you... if ... if you change your mind... or you want it back... just say something ok? " she smiled and looked down at the candy it looked very yummy then quickly she looked up at him "I... I don't have anything to give you in return" she frowned, he was her friend now, she should give him a gift too right? she didn't know she wasn't used to having friends
James Binks-Rakosi shook his head, " that's ok. You weren't expecting it. And you realyl gave me the best gift ever. It's been my deepest wish to meet another person like me. I,, I was beginning to think it was impossible actually, and I was gettign used to that, but now.. I kow.. and.. and I feel better. Thank you, so that Miss Selia. It is the best gift you could hacve ever given me."
Selia nods quickly "I'm so glad I met you, I've met other fae but never... never anyone like me who was a .. .well mix of things" she giggled and carefully put the candy into a small pocket "And... you don't have to call me Miss if you don't wanna, we're friends now right? You can just call me Selia" she beamed and then added quickly "unless you wanna call me Miss then you can, ... did you want me to call you Mr.?? I'm sorry I didn't think to call you that"
James Binks-Rakosi made a little face and blushed, " that.. sounds silly. Mr. Bink..." he giggled softly, " No... I.. I can call you jsut Selia. I jsut have to remember to not add Miss. I may forget though. its a habit of mine to use it, but I promise I will try my best not too m.... Selia!" His first save. "Because we are friends now."
Selia smiled and nodded quickly "you can if you wanna... it's ok, you're my friend you can call me whatever you want to" she giggled "It doesn't mean you're not my friend if you forget, I don't mind"
James Binks-Rakosi "OK!" He wasn't sure about this really really wanting to, but he knew one thing, he had a Fae friend that he wanted to be happy. Perhaps that was teh wanting she meant? Or was it the want like he hwad today to play adventurer and not tel any..." oh..." h blinked, his ears perking straight up. "OH!" he bounced in placed and hurriedly 'wiped his ears back to the much smaller points. He sadly was too frantic to remember about his eyes though. "Jehan must be worried!! I didn't hink i'd be out this long. He's probably made it back home and is wonderign where I am! I think I gotta go!"
Selia nods quickly and steps back a little "oh.. ok" she smiles a little sad to see him go away "Thank you for everything, be careful on your way home" she puts her hand over her pocket where the candy is and smiles so happy she made a friend
James Binks-Rakosi raised the whole of his arm to wave to Selia before turned to bound on his way, back through teh intimidating and scary isle of Stand and george buildings.. to the walkway tht lead to the entrance to the catacombs... to home. ".. I can't WAIt to tell Jehan. He'll be so excited." He was babbling to himself because it was the thing to do.
