Rhage Terasaur woke with a start. What time was it? A glance at the night sky told her she'd been out far longer than she'd meant to be. She'd left the house for what had become a habitual daily walk, and ended up curling up in the sun and falling asleep listening to a stranger play his harmonica. Quiet, her mind registered as she went on alert. Something had startled her out of sleep, and the night was missing those soothing sounds that the woods usually claimed. She cautiously let her energy 'search' the area, casting in a wide arc around her. A low, rumbling hiss was her only warning. He was that powerful. Even with her searching she hadn't felt him. She whirled, low on the ground still and hurled the silver star that had been on her bracelet at him. Rhage's aim was true and she nicked his throat just as he plowed into her, sending them both tumbling down the uneven incline at a dangerously fast pace. Viciously wicked claws extended where her nails were and Rhage lashed at his face, one hand raking across his eyes. Oh... that only served to piss him off, and he made sure the entire town knew it. The chilling roar of an angry lion could be heard for miles in every direction as their fall was broken by the cold embrace of the river. She was a strong swimmer, better than him it seemed, and Rhage slipped away darting through the water. Direction didn't matter. Getting away did. She broke the surface, gulping in huge breaths. She hit the water's edge at a full out run... they were just below the bridge, she noted distantly. That moment she took to get her bearings was the moment that cost her. He slammed into her back, and she landed on her front hard. Pain exploded in her, dimming her vision and disorienting her. She tried to roll, but claws raked down her sides and back and her control shattered. Before he realized what was happening, a sleek little leopard whirled and claws drug their course down his t-shirt clad stomach before the cat darted out of his grip. The snowy white little cat wouldn't have seen his confused 'what the fuck' expression, because she went no further than a few meters when her body began to shift and contort again and a bigger cat panted where she'd been. Glacier blue lion eyes met citrine crazed lion eyes as he shifted and circled... Rhage had retreated into the mind of the cat, to the point where Rhage barely existed and the cat reigned. She didn't fight its urge to kill... she embraced it, and attacked.
Serenity Terasaur walked aimlessly back towards the Pride House, rather happy with the ice cream cone she held…three scoops of death by chocolate on a sugar crusted waffle cone and bits of brownies mixed into the ice cream. Ser was in heaven…and a bit of chocolate overload. She licked at the ice cream as she walked, she deserved the tasty treat, she’d been training all day…with stops here and there for homework, Vassar was notorious for the amount of work they sent home with Students...and they were living up to those standards, Ser was barely keeping up. She’d just passed by the Pack bar when the roar echoed through the trees of the forest and into town, Ser’s blue orbs widening. A lion…and it didn’t sound like one of theirs. Stay or go…stay or go. Ser hadn’t seen her twin all day, and now there was a possible rogue on the loose….a pissed off one by the sounds of it. Ser chewed on her bottom lip for a split second, dropping her half eaten ice cream cone upon the sidewalk as she tore off in the direction of the woods, silently thankful she’d been training and not wearing heels as was typical for her. Was Rhage out there with the rogue or was she safely tucked inside the house? Ser couldn’t chance it. She picked up her speed, racing for the forest, heedless of anyone out that might see her running like a crazy person. Thank God for shifter speed.
Blood paints the ground, turning the soft summer grass crimson. Claws glitter in the moonlight where they're not stained with blood as he crawls towards her body. Rhage tore him up good, but she'd never fought someone with that kind of power... Her world was narrowed to shades of gray and crimson as pain threatened to turn it black again. Her breathing was shallow, he noted absently as he dispassionately crouched over her and studied her. It would take time to let her heal, but he'd been patient. That time would also have him fully healed... The bitch was strong, and he gave her props for it. He required a strong mate. Step one, getting rid of the Rex's kids and claiming his mate virtually complete, he mused. In his arrogance, he carelessly paid no attention to his surroundings. He didn't realize anyone was close and drawing nearer.
Gage Wheeler had just stepped out of the house when he heard the roar, it was male…..and it didn’t sound like Blade. That already set off his alarms and broke out into a sprint where it might have come from. He looked to his side and his cat was as worried as he was, they looked at each other then back to the path and ran as fast as they could
Blade Velde head snapped at the sound as did his beasts. This wasn't good. Heading out of his room he just saw a blur as Gage ran past moving fast after him, but not fast enough. But he didn't need to follow his beast was knowing where to go so he let that lead him as he ran faster it could be after Ser.
Serenity Terasaur ran faster than she ever thought she had in the past, if her twin was out here with the rogue things wouldn’t be good…Ser held no illusions of things turning out rosy and perfect, male lions were territorial and took rather than asked most often than not. Rhage was desirable, she was strong…the only thing in a male’s way were her babies…Ser’s nieces and/or nephews. Ser’s pace stepped up. Everything was a blur as she ran, shapes of buildings and people passing by didn’t register in her mind…only the forest as it got closer and closer…and finally she cleared the tree line. She didn’t stop, if anything she pressed on harder, panting softly, her lioness racing out ahead of her to search the woods…find her twin…it was the only thing on her mind. The stench of the male was everywhere, how could her twin not have noticed it? How could she not have on the full moon? He had to of been hiding out here for some time…especially if he purposefully targeted the Regina of this town…was it on purpose? Thoughts raced through Ser’s head as she continued running, forcing her shift to start before she even reached the scene…her twin was there, that is all that it took for Ser. Her shift progressed so far and then Ser stopped it, still upright on both feet…a human looking lion, if that made sense…she’d chosen her Hybrid form. Her clothes hung off of her narrow frame in tatters, hair curling around her shoulder back to its natural platinum tone as she arrived on the scene, skidding to a stop as the scent of blood and meat hit her. She had the urge to gag but pressed it down…not yet. Her twin lay on the ground, the male above her….Ser let out a snarl of anger as she pressed forward…
And the twin arrives. "How poetic," the lion-man snarled. His voice sounded as though gravel scraped along its edges, rough and unrecognizable to most in this form. Ulric Belikov turned his head... only his head... he was arrogant. Those citrine eyes flashed across Serenity and a distorted chuckle escaped him.
Gage Wheeler reached out to his lions, his people to see if he could feel them. He knew Blade was behind him, so he tried for Rhage and Ser, he looked up to where he had got a glint of power from his Regina some ways away and possibly where the roar might have come from. This caused him to bare down and let his legs fly through the city and to the woods, behind him was just a whirl grass and trash, his fingers popping and his hands growing dark as he let his claws grow. If something had happened to any of his people, there would be hell to pay
Blade as he ran after Gage in the rain he didn't seem to notice or care How bad it was storming, He had to find Ser Had to keep her safe. He could feel the pull of his beast above all Blood.. he wanted Blood, and with the mixing of his worry an desire to keep others safe. Human form wasn't lasting long at all. His body tenses as he gave an inhuman growl welcoming the change for the first time, the lion would deal with things better then he could as a human. Just he would have done grate without the pain. His body contorting as muscles an bone shifted an grew. Hair turning to a thick mane as fur covered his body all the way to the tip of his tufted tail to be coated in a layer of goo that he simply ignored as he roared his furry an rage. Now on all fours he ran faster after Gage his mind primal lost to the need to fight an protect.
Serenity Terasaur was already starting forward for the male when the eyes landed on her, those familiar eyes. Startled Ser stumbled, barely catching herself on the rain slick ground, it had been storming and she’d been too worried and scared to realize that…though that wasn’t the reason for her fuck up. And fuck up it was. He came at her now, larger claws than hers swiped down, aiming for her face though the stumbling caused his aim to shift, to land on her chest. Pain exploded in her body as deep wounds opened across her chest, her blood dripping down to stain the white tank top she wore. Ser snarled, white blur orbs locked on those citrine ones, “Ulric.” It was the only thing she said, her own voice rough, unrecognizable in this form. Her ex-fiancé was here…and he wasn’t after Ser, it was Rhage he wanted. Ser wouldn’t allow it. Her chest heaved with the pain she felt, her exertions of staying upright on the slick ground, damn the weather. Ser lunged for him as he pulled back from her, her heart hammering in her chest as she swiped her own claws out, aiming for his face. He evaded. She knew he would, he was a better fighter than even their father…and Ser had only begun fighting this year…it was laughable really, the thought that she could take him…be she tried. Her claws ended up nicking his nose and lips. He snarled but it was almost a chuckle in a way, he was playing with her. She growled, arching her leg out, kicking at his knees…she hit, he stumbled…a smirk forming on her lioness’ muzzle. “Not so fast are you old man?” She’d barely gotten the words out when he attacked her again, taking her down, claws around her throat digging in.
Ulric sneered, "Whore," in Serenity's face as his claws tried to sink further into her neck. Not once did he consider others followed, "Look at your pretty twin," his scratchy bass voice rumbled as he whipped her around and forced her gaze to where her sister lay. His laugh was manic and his whisper was difficult to make out, "...mine."
Gage Wheeler came up to the scene, his soaked hair stick to his face. He saw a male, partially shifted with his giant hand around Sers neck and his claws digging in. So this was the guy who roared, he figured that out but why was all of this happening. HE was running over to blow the man off of Ser as he saw Rhage….and she had………..shifted. The thought finally took hold in his mind and his eyes went wide as he balled his fist and knock the other male in the side of the face . As the man flew off of Ser he moved between the girls and the man. His breathing deepened and his hands twitched” you….you…you are a dead man….you fucking hear me!” his voice deep and harsh. And a look in his eye that they had never seen on Gage before
Blade charged though the brush claws digging into the ground as he ran, lips pulled back into a feral snarl. Nearly right Behind Gage he skidded to a stop just as he knocked the Male off Ser but that wasn't stopping him, an the sect of blood in the air, an was that.. Rhage's blood an body? that only egged him on. Growling he leapt claws extending as he pounced right into the other male and was tossed off like a rag doll right back over next to Ser were he landed in a crumpled heap. Only he wasn't staying down as he picked himself back up growling at the male as he stood over Ser proactively. Growling at the male, Gage could handle him.. he knew when he was out matched.
Rhage Terasaur floated. It was cold. The storm had taken hold and tree limbs whipped back and forth in the woods. Colored lightning light up the sky in beautiful, mocking shades of purple and green along with its standard white brilliance. Fat droplets of rain stung raw flesh and open wounds as it pelted down in waves. The scent of blood and beast still reeked heavily in the air, though there was something familiar now mingling... the scent of the Pride. The part of her that clung to consciousness relaxed. She didn't have to fight anymore if they were here.
Serenity Terasaur hissed at Ulric as he labeled her a whore, though his claws digging in deeper to her neck, her blood trickling down quickly was somewhat forgotten for a moment at his next words, when he dragged her painfully to force her to stare at her bloody and battered twin. The first thing she noticed was her belly…she…she had shifted. Pain stole through Ser that caused her breathing to stop momentarily, black and white dots floating over her vision until she was sure she was about to faint….then Ulric went flying. Ser let out a loud hiss of pain as his claws were retracted from her throat, five perfect holes still bleeding profusely could be seen, her poor white tank top was now stained almost completely crimson. Ser distantly heard Gage’s words, but she ignored him, only her twin mattered. Ser had landed off to the side, and had begun to crawl towards her twin when a rather large lion rushed into the crowd, launching himself at Ulric and was promptly tossed off, landing next to her. Ser blinked at Blade, hissing at him softly as he stood over her, restricting her movements. She gave him a shove, it wouldn’t hurt, she just wanted to get to her sister. Ser scrambled to her hands and feet, ignoring Ulric now as she crawled to her twin. “Sissy…” Her voice was rough, words cut off as claws sunk into the flesh of her calf, Ulric dragging her away from her sister, his other clawed hand swiping down across her face. She howled in pain before lifting a leg to kick him in the stomach, away from them, scrambling up and closer to her twin as he fell back.
Gage Wheeler was getting lost in the rage the filled up within him. He saw as the man got back up and then went for Ser, when she kick him and he fell back. It was Gages turn to get back on this guy, he moved quickly over to where the man had been, his foot raised in the air and came down just as the man rolled out of the way. Gage had moved back his foot and a divot was what remained, he let out a growl and his lip curled. His arms and skin began to darken as he stalked toward the man once again.
Ulric snorted his laughter, undaunted, "The mighty Rex," his citrine eyes danced with insanity. He ignored Serenity kicking him away and let her crawl to her twin. He needed Rhage alive, and the bitch would bleed out if one of these idiots didn't realize how injured she was. Of course... he wasn't far from losing consciousness himself... Fury would have been proud of the damage his protégé had done to his once faithful guard and second. Fuck... was his only thought when the Rex kicked and he went down. Yep... bled too much too quick, he had the time to think before he blacked out.
Blade gruffled as he was pushed but as Ser was pulled back by the male again he turned his head to roar in his face as Gage came back over. Picking himself up he padded over to the bloody from to sniff at it head titled as he gave a lick to her hair chuffing at her to wake up, looking to Ser he chuffed at her confused tone then to the Male eyes narrowing. He did this, and he would Die if Gage let him go or he got away, He'd take care of him
Serenity Terasaur turned to look at Ulric as she sat by her twin, dragging her frame onto Ser’s own lap, “Kill him!” She snarled at Gage, Ser was more worried about her twin…but Ulric needed to die. There was a small twinge at the thought, but she quickly batted it away, the man was not who he had portrayed himself to be to a young and naïve Ser those many years ago…she didn’t care if he died now and would have done it herself if she could bear to leave her twin. Her heart was still thudding in her chest as she gathered her twin up in her arms, unsure of what else to do…she was too upset, too panicked…Rhage was losing too much blood. Ser actually jumped, startled, when Blade roared. Her mind was whirling with her thoughts, her fault…she should have realized that Ulric was here…should have stuck by Rhage’s side. Ser kept hold of her twin as she stumbled, trying to stand…she needed to get her to a doctor…the hospital…somewhere.
Gage Wheeler ‘s teeth were now fangs as he snarled again at the man. He rushed him and dove, hopping to pin the man but, as hurt as the man may have been he moved, just barely. As Gage slide on the ground he stopped and quickly got to his feet and stared down the man again. He heard Sers cries for Gage to hill the man, and that was exactly he was going to do, he rushed the man again as he swung for a punch. After that moment all he heard was the loud thuds of his heart in his ears…wanted blood, and he was going to get it
Blade nosed an Licked at Rhage chuffing still why wasn't she getting up? He nosed her again getting his maw an nose covered in her blood. Chuffing at Gage he moved to lay beside Rhage eyes to Ser confused worried, what did they want him to do. He gruffled as he licked at her wounds trying to help that way. Half watching Gage fight he paused mid lick at Ser's words to kill him snorting he couldn't agree more
Serenity Terasaur ‘s mind was on her twin, gaze on the wounds on her body, sliding to her belly from time to time, pain evident on her face. When Blade began to lick her wounds Ser shouldered him away, hissing in annoyance, white blue orbs narrowed before she turned her attention back to Gage and Ulric, cursing in her mind. Why didn’t he just kill him already? Ser was of a mind to do just that herself now…if it wasn’t for her twin lying helplessly in her arms. Ser should really get her to the hospital…but her own reluctance kept her from going…the hospital would remind them both too much of the clinic. She sighed, figuring she’d need to call the Master’s doctor in…it made more sense anyways; they didn’t want this getting public. Ser balanced on her feet easily; slowly beginning to back away from the males towards the trees…she had to get Rhage safe.
Gage Wheeler turns to see the man on the ground, where he had fallen when he had dodged. He ran over and looked down at him. He let out a roar of his own as his hand drove into the man's chest, the chest cracking under the force, and Gage once more rears back and hits down enough to break the man's chest. He reaches and digs in with his claws, just as the man wakes and screams, Gage reaches in more as the man tries to grip his forearm as it sunk in deeper into the chest. When Gage had reached and felt the man's heart, he gripped it tightly and looked down into to the man's eyes as he yanked back and ripped the heart from the man's chest, it pumped a few more times before it stopped and Gage let it fall at his feet. He looked to Ser and Blade, he growled at them “get…get her help….I…I will be there shortly” he exhaled deeply as he tried to control his rage but red was all almost he could see
Blade gruffled as Ser hissed at him backing away ears back tempted to hiss back at her he was helping thank you. But as Gage made short work of the male he growled softly before being ordered to get her help. That's what he was doing geeze make up your minds. About to go back to licking her wounds he stopped ears perking as he looked to Ser she'd just hiss at him if he licked. So tilting his head he waiting for her order on How to help since his way wasn't what they wanted
Serenity Terasaur watched with a small bit of satisfaction as Gage killed Ulric…though she winced at the sounds, turning around before she could see the man’s heart in her Rex’s hand then at his feet…even Ser had her limits. She ignored Blade, didn’t have the strength to deal with him at the moment…she was terrified for her twin, and she figured being a new shifter his blood lust would set in…she’d be surprised if Gage would be able to keep Blade from eating Ulric…her face turned green beneath her fur at that thought. Ser moved swiftly away from the scene, tears stinging her blue orbs as she carried her twin’s form through the forest, intent on getting her home.
Gage Wheeler in his might was happy that the twins had left, because none that really knew what was going on within him were able to calm him down. He looked down at the body and picked it up and threw it at the tree. He then turned to another tree and roared out and hit it, taking a big chunk out of it and then began to claw away at the trunk
Blade Velde snorted at Ser as she took Rhage off an left him, then to Gage well order was filled. An unless he got a new order that body was being nicely clawed an chewed on. Well until it was thrown He growled at that that was going to be his now he had the kill it was his turn. Padding over he growled again at Gage Eyes narrowed very pissed off kitty look.
Asher Sierot gruffed and huffed, rolling over onto his stomach to push himself up. Something HAD to be going on and damn his curiosity he couldn't focus on ANYTHING until he knew, not that meditating was helping when the only images he could call up were ones of Sensei... He would smack himself if he could too. Letting something like that make him so weak. He started off at a jog that wound into a full run for him, it was still slow, bare feet padding over roots and around bushes, quick short jumps and slides and the whole thing putting a smile on his face, until he skittered to a stop, or tried to, sliding down a steep embankment toward the creek below with a chirp.
Serenity Terasaur didn’t wait around to see what happened with the men, she hurried her way through the forest, blue orbs bright, alert, always searching in case their Father was afoot…though Ser didn’t think he would have sent Ulric to do as he had, the man had definitely been acting alone. Ser shivered as she remembered the look in his eyes, the way he had treated her…callously…as if she wasn’t worth anything. Her gaze slid down to her twin’s form, fear evident as her heart raced…Rhage had better turn out okay. Ser had just reached the tree line of the forest, their house in view when she stopped…dare she move forward into the town like this? She was still in hybrid form, covered in blood while holding an unconscious Rhage who was still in human form. Ser growled softly before trudging on, sticking to the shadows around the edge of the properties she skirted until she came up to their front doors. They were still open from when the men had left, Ser quickly hurried inside, rushing up the steps to her twin’s room, laying her down upon the bed gently before she started her change back…
Blood quickly soaked the sapphire blue bedspread, the sheets beneath it, and the mattress below. Consciousness was returning and it snuffed out the edges of numbness that had engulfed her. Deep in the dark corners of her mind she knew that pain was good... feeling was good. She wasn't able to isolate it. Cuts, gashes, and bruises marred her flesh all across her body, some deeper than others. Rhage didn't recognize the quiet pain filled sound she heard in the distance as her own as Ser shifted.
Serenity Terasaur completed her shift back to human, tatters of her clothing still managing to hang on, though they didn’t hide much. She fell to her knees, breathing in and out deeply, her chest rising and falling, platinum blonde hair sticking to her sweaty blood coated face. The marks were still on her neck, the slashes across her chest and face as well. She’d bear the marks for a couple more days at least unless she shifted again. Ser forced herself to stand, to go check on her twin. “S…sissy…” Ser murmured, trembling hands running over the identical body as she tried to rouse her twin. After a few moments Ser left the room, snatching her cell out of her own before making a call to a well-known, often used number. “Doctor…it’s Rhage…can you please come to the new house?” Ser stammered and pleaded to the Masters’ private doctor when the woman picked up her phone. She agreed to Ser’s relief to which Ser told her the new address before moving back to her twin’s room, “The doctor is coming sissy…” She murmured as she crawled onto the bed next to her twin to wait, curling up against her, heedless of the blood soaked blanket and sheets.
Gage Wheeler smelt the man's fear, and the rage the blinded him, it just made it worse. He growled out “you…you son of a bitch …you killed them…….” His lips snarled and his eyes pin pointed onto the one crawling away. He still stalked forward, his legs ready to pounce if he had the chance
Blade Velde stalked behind Gage as he picked back up the arm , he smelled the fear as well it excited him but he had a nice meal here, let the Rex go hunt anther if he wished. But as he held the arm between his forepaws to chew on he kept eyes to Gage an Ash watching ready to step in if needed. He did like hunting
Asher Sierot glanced back at them, keeping himself moving along the stream edge, as the guy got closer he straightened up a bit, half crouch walking and a bit faster shaking his head over and over. He didn't know who had been killed, but he could smell the blood nearby, though he had seen something bloody on the other side but right now he REALLY didn't dare look. The lion moved off to the side and laid down, now vivid blue eyes were trained on the one following him and Asher was fully preparing for the longest run of his life, taking deep lungful of air, expanding them while his leg muscles tensed and suddenly his head jerked forward and he was off! Not nearly his full speed yet, he wouldn't be able to get all the way to ninety, damn rocks and roots and bushes! But he was running and jumping and dodging and NOT glancing over his shoulder!
Rhage Terasaur mewed and whimpered. Her twin's voice let her know she was safe enough, even if she wasn't conscious enough to realize where they were just yet. What had happened... Her mind tried to wrap around it all, but couldn't quite grasp it through layers of pain.
Gage Wheeler saw the man start to get run, and his legs to sprang into action and he ran after the man, Ina the beginning he was almost able to catch him, enough so that the smell of his fear was intoxicating. The man was within arm's reach of Gage and he stopped, pulled his arm back as the man Gage peeked through for a moment as he roared out” runnnnn….” His eyes glossed over again and the red was his sight and he now this time hitting the rock in the small stream
Serenity Terasaur wrapped an arm around her twin’s waist, pulling her closer to her gently as she started to whimper. Ser’s blue gaze stayed focused on the door and she nearly sprang up when the doctor arrived, Ser had told her to just walk in. Doctor Saunders tried on more than one occasion to get Ser to go clean up, to leave the room...she refused and even managed to growl at the doctor the last time she suggested it. Ser stayed by her sister, on the bed, the whole time the doctor worked on her.
Blade Velde tilted his head as the male took off, arm chewing forgotten a moment as he watched Gage go after him then.. stop? Why did he stop you didn't catch things if you stopped. As he pulled the arm closer to chew more on he shook his mane as Gage hit a rock head tilting again what was he doing, you didn't eat rocks
Asher Sierot didn't have to be told twice! He ran as fast as he could while stumbling over the uneven ground, then just as the guy was out of sight he turned and clambered up the steep slope, away from the pond at the bottom and certain slow death by him catching up to him anyway. He stood up at the top and froze for an instant, heart pounding and breathing heavily, part of him was done, he had to rest, had to lay down, but he knew if he simply walked back or stopped.. bad things would happen. Though when he popped his head up over the edge and looked back down the stream he didn't see anything of either of them following so... he turned and ran, now even ground YAY! back toward town, pulling out his phone and calling Adrik, he wouldn't be able to speak, all he would hear were the branches swatting at his face occasionally, the labored breathing and the rat tat tat of his feet on the ground.
Rhage Terasaur was much too lucid for her own taste as the woman doctor stitched here, bandaged there, and stitched some more... When the woman suggested that Rhage should be moved to the hospital the panwere opened glazed blue eyes and growled at her. The argument that she'd lost too much blood and needed more didn't win that argument for Saunders either, not to Rhage's mind anyway.
Serenity Terasaur echoed her twin’s growl as the Doctor mentioned the hospital, Rhage would not be going anywhere. The woman muttered under her breath about stubborn lions or some such as she prescribed stuff for Rhage then promptly left, leaving the twins alone in a dark bed room. Ser curled up closer to her twin, fingers twitching through her identical platinum locks gently…good thing the twins kept stock in the dye company with as much as they shifted on a regular basis. “Rhage...” Ser murmured softly, knowing her twin was awake due to the growl. Would she answer?
Rhage Terasaur shivered as the woman washed blood away and had her cleanly stitched and bandaged. She recognized the names of medications prescribed, knew they wouldn't do much good on a shifter... Her shields were a crumbled pile of ashes in her mind and pain and grief could easily be felt radiating from her. Rhage closed her eyes when Saunders finally left and let her mind try to work through what happened... to adjust... to cope. Her twin's touch and nearness was soothing, and likely the only reason she hadn't fallen apart yet. "Hmm," she murmured quietly when Ser said her name.
Blade Velde was content to watch Gage beat up rocks but he was growing tired, Arm half ate he dropped it as he stood an stretched out sniffing the air, Which way had his lioness go ne. maybe she would be more friendly now and they could pick up where they left off. He purred at that thought as he slowly padded his way after her scent
Serenity Terasaur nuzzled up to her twin, she felt what she was feeling, though for Ser it was like living it all over a second time. The pan-were stayed close to her sister, offering warmth and soothing energy as she pressed her lioness out around her. “I love you sissy…” Ser murmured. What else could she say? Nothing in the world would make Rhage feel better, Ser knew first hand…saying ‘I’m sorry’ would only piss her off and Ser wouldn’t blame her one bit. She merely cuddled up to her, realizing that soon she’d need to move them, to get her twin a makeshift bed until a new one could be delivered. “Sissy…I need to clean up the mess…” Ser murmured, sighing softly as she winced while pushing herself up off of the bed, careful to not jar her twin with her movements.
Adrik Snowpaw: Was hell bent angry. For the first time his own beast was raised completely....and it was nothing to sneeze at. Adrik often kept the beast at bay by choice, but with something chasing his lover he wasn't about to hold back. His eyes white out completely, no pupils. His hands manifested into those claws, his mouth opened and he let out a mighty tigers ROAR. The ones they gave that were able to terrify prey into freezing, captivated even in fear. His beast ran forward, rushed in a tsunami of power then bursting, it pulsed like a heart in ripples from his body and outward like a sonic boom from the direction Asher had run. It was a clear warning. Whatever was chasing had better back the fuck off. An Asher on his ...shoulders? Adrik didn't comment he kept his beast pulsing, swarming and held his hands on Asher's shoulders to carry and take him home.
Rhage Terasaur: Pale blue eyes, clouded with tears, watched their twin as Ser carefully moved off the bed, "Shoulda had her clean you up too," she realized. Then a roar rattled the windowpanes and had her trembling with an emotion she didn't recognize. Fear. She knew the sound of a large cat roaring... and she didn't know that cat... Her heart raced and she hissed painfully as she struggled to sit up.
Asher took a deep wheezing breath at that roar, at the pulse of power ripping through and past him, nearly fainting from it all right then! But hands helped keep him up and he knew that energy, at least in part, vivid blue eyes as wide as they should go widening further while Adrik carried him home. Once up in the apartment he was scrambling off his shoulders and running around the apartment from one side to the other franticly trying to find something anything to write on. He grabbed up Adrik's sketchbook then a few of the colored pencils nearby it and paced while he wrote in scritch scratchy panicked writing then thrust the pad at Adrik, ignoring Tobs all together right now, he was too panicked! The writing was hard to read but still legible. "They ATE A HUMAN ARM!!! HUMAN! Said I killed someone (someone scratched out) THEM! I know I didn't!" He was pacing back and forth between the walls shaking his head over and over, hands going to his face and hair then back down to fists. He didn't know what to do.
Blade Velde was slowly padding his way home his den with his lioness who he hoped would be eager to see him like she was the night before. He paused mid step at the odd feeling an Roar both; the feeling like a static charge that bristled his fur. He sniffed at the air head turning. He gave a low hiss towards the source of the sound ears pinning back, he wasn't going to go running all over after every roar. He had His lioness to get to and that was His. He shook out his mane as he started padding after her scent again already giving the lion call chuff of 'where are you, come here'
Rhage Terasaur shuddered consistently as her gaze followed Ser to the windows. She was having issues sitting up... should she even try standing? "How close?" she asked, her voice pathetically weak as she slowly shifted to the edge of the bed. She meant how close was the big-ass-cat that made that threatening warning call.
Serenity Terasaur frowned as she reached over to help her twin up, bringing the majority of her sleight weight onto herself, “The forest I think…I hope Blade is okay.” Ser murmured as she helped her twin to sit into a nearby chair gently, moving back to the bed to quickly and methodically wrap up the nasty sheets only to find the mattress below soaked clear through to the box springs. “Damn it.” She sighed, weariness plaguing her lithe frame as she leaned against the bed for a moment, blinking back her tears of frustration. Why did these things always happen to the twins? She was so sick of bad shit happening…maybe if they moved to their island home nothing could reach them there. It was a nice thought, but not practical in any way. Another soft sigh would be given before she glanced back to her twin, “Harlow is out of town, you will need to use her bed tonight until I can order you a new one….I can carry you downstairs…” Ser murmured to her, waiting to see what she thought.
Blade Velde arriving at the den he bumped his head on the funny blockade in his way even batted at it with a heavy paw before padding back, crouching an jumping over said problem to get inside the den 'home' he purred as he padded around the court yard chuffing for Ser her scent was all over the place as was the over powering scent of blood. His nostrils flared as he picked up where that at least was coming from. Nose to the air he sniffed more tail flicking behind him giving anther chuff as he tried to pin point Ser's scent over that of the blood
Rhage Terasaur grimaced and ground her teeth together to keep any little sounds from escaping as her twin helped her stand up and move to the matching sapphire blue chaise. "Couch," she murmured, not wanting to invade their half-sister's space. She frowned, leaning lightly against the wall to avoid swaying, "Find him?" she asked, referring to Blade. The last thing they needed was for him to eat someone. At least... someone that didn't need to be eaten.
Adrik Snowpaw: Beast was still careening onward, it was like a ripple effect, it started at one point and only grew. "Tobias?" His voice was more of an unnatural hiss. "Your alright unless you shift. Try not to do that right now or I can't make a promise to you." Hey..they all had their limits. "Don't burn the pancakes." Papers thrust in his hands he took it...and he had to rain back his beast to the state of the roar. His eye twitched. "I believe you Gataki, I don't think you did either...but the fact shifters are out there eating humans is a problem. Do you know which one it was? Someone will need to stop them, if it's possible help them. This person either has no control or is a murderer. We'll either need the police or get them better trainers." He watched Asher run about like a chicken with his head cut off. "Easy Asher...your safe here. Your home." He took three meaningful strides, flicked his wrist and reached to grasp the nape of Asher's neck as usual. "Shh..or you're going to shifter, and if people go looking for animals tonight to hunt you don't want to be one of them."
Serenity Terasaur shook her head at her twin as she crossed her arms over her chest, eyeing her with narrowed, stubborn orbs, “You need more comfort than a couch will offer, you either sleep in Harlow’s bed or mine. Your choice.” Ser didn’t leave much room for argument, if she had to stay up all night and watch where her twin slept she would. The distant sound of a thud had Ser frowning as she moved to the back window in her twin’s room, the one that faced the courtyard below. A soft curse would escape her as she saw the large lion pacing around, “No need, he’s here….” She was partly relieved and partly worried…she’d need to get him to shift back or away from her twin when she moved her, she didn’t quite trust the new shifter.
Asher jerked to a stop when his neck was caught with a short gasp and turned to bury his face into Adrik's stomach with a silent scream. He ached, knew his butt and back were bruised at least, his feet HURT and stung and he had seen someone EATEN! He deserved to scream. Fear had never been the trigger for him to shift oddly enough, just to run and sometimes the running triggered it. But he nodded rubbing his face against Adrik's stomach trying his best not to lose it all not to cry, he didn't make a sound other than the air rushing out of his lungs and back in. Then he looked at his feet, he hadn't noticed the cuts on them before now, or really the pain, adrenalin leaving all too fast and leaving him, far too weak. The cheetah in his needed to lay down and rest after that run, demanded it, buckling his knees and his head lolling to one side, eyes barely staying open and arms losing their grip on Adrik's waist.
Blade Velde chuffed again as he found the stairs testing them with a paw an starting up them, scent went this way it smelt like. Looking around he shook his mane at how odd the den was an where was his Lioness . His head titled maybe he should have brought her back the other arm. Then gage may have claimed the body by now.
Tobs Bailey: Tobias Bailey swallowed thickly as he gave a simple nod, forcing himself, finally, to move. The reaction had been instantaneous to the raging warning of the tiger, and that was to utterly and completely freeze. Now, once he was able to perform a slight, half-body twitch he slowly lifted from the couch, quite literally tip-toeing his doe-eyed way over to the stove to flip the forgotten pancakes.
Adrik Snowpaw: "It's alright Mi agapo.." He clung to the smaller body, slowly reaching his tiger. Pressing it firmly but slowly back down. Arms scooping up the weakening smaller body and cradling it to his chest to nuzzle his boyfriends face. "Let it out..." He was worried about the shifting, even if he would have understood it..but the scream...the crying..was even more understood. "Let it out.." Rocking the smaller form some he hummed to try and sooth him. "Rest Gataki..you are safe here." And whoever was to there...wasn't.
Rhage Terasaur was ghostly pale beneath her tan, giving her a fragile chalky appearance. "Couch," she parroted, relieved to hear that Blade was back. She figured Gage would be home soon... her mind was still fuzzy on everything that had happened though. Small shakes rattled her light frame, "Is he... Did he?" She wasn't sure what she was asking... "Don't really remember," she hissed, "Ulric... bastard..." A soft and sadly pathetic growl escaped her as she gingerly pulled her legs up, ignoring the pain as much as possible, and rested her chin on her knees.
Serenity Terasaur sighed and removed herself from the window, standing in it and staring at the lion below wasn’t going to get her anywhere. Rhage’s halted speech and way of talking had Ser softening, a look of sadness creeping over her pretty face as she moved to sit next to her twin, drawing her legs up beneath her lithe frame. She was mentally preparing herself for a long uncomfortable night on the couch next to the one her twin would be sleeping on. “Ulric is indeed a bastard and is dead…Gage killed him.” Ser spoke softly, slowly, so that her twin could understand each word she said. She lifted a hand, her left…still missing the ring finger…to thread her fingers through her twin’s platinum locks gently.
Asher was almost dead weight in Adrik's arms and he barely twitched at his claws against his skin. His face turned up to adrik, peering out under thick black lashes at him. The only thing he could think at the moment through all the blood and gore and body parts was that this man was the only one in his five months of being a shifter, in his 21 years of being the smallest kid at everything, the geek and nerd... Adrik was the ONLY one that had ever tried to give two shits, the only one that would stand up for him. Turning his face into his chest he took a shuddering deep breath and let it out nuzzling him before his body gave out and he .. fainted. He would tell him later.
Blade Velde having made his way around the rooms an halls as he sniffed out both Rhage and Ser he gruffled an chuffed from the door way as he simply let himself inside going to Ser to nuzzle her leg then to Rhage to nose at where he had remembered seeing an smelling wounds before. But his focus was on Ser as he nuzzled at her an batted chuffing for her to come with him or at least pay attraction to him. She was his lioness after all
Rhage Terasaur nodded, a single tear trailing down her cheek as she stared at the mess of the room, "Good." Several long moments passed, and eventually she managed to stop shaking. An indrawn hiss of pain accompanied her twin's touch as Ser's fingers rustled her platinum tresses, "Call Vince. Whatever it takes to get them here for our hair. Today." Before she shaved the white-blonde locks off her head. Grief and pain and failure still poured off her in waves. She winced when Blade padded into hers and Gage's room and nosed at the myriad of bandages that coated her body. The big shifted mountain of a lion brought on another wave of pain and a wave of anger, misplaced and directed at Blade as she lashed out at him, "Out," she hissed, and willed him to tire and shift back.
Serenity Terasaur ‘s eyes grew big as she watched Blade come into Rhage’s room, damn it, she should have shut the door…not that a shut door would keep out a lion. She sighed when he nosed both of them, wanting Ser’s attention. “Shoo…go back downstairs.” She muttered to him before her twin started to speak, “I’ll call him before I pass out, you know he’ll be here ten minutes after we wake up.” She tried to force a smile onto her face, but it didn’t work. She sent her lioness to soothe her twin’s anguish some, wanting to kick Gage for not being here to console his mate. It took a split second but Ser recognized the energy her twin lashed out at Blade, “Sissy…don’t…”
Adrik Snowpaw: Wasn't ready to let Asher go yet. He was finally able to completely subdue his beast. His eyes returned to normal and he slowly shifted his claws back. The smaller man nestled in his arms against his chest he headed for the couch next to Tobias. e leaned in and gently nuzzled his cheek once to let him know he meant no harm. "Your alright." He told the Swan then looked back to Asher..he needed to clean him and take care of the wounds...but for now...for a few moments...he needed to feel him safe and secure in his arms. He loved him...and he felt he very nearly just lost him.
Rhage Terasaur saw the world in varied shades of gray. She hadn't meant to lash out at Blade... it would be another of the many regrets she would have to face from this night later on. She heard her twin's words, but it had been too late to stop the wave of energy that rolled off her and into the new shifter. Foolish, her father would say. She'd lost too much blood, was too injured, too weak to be hurling power around like that. Rhage saw Blade turn to leave, but gray clouds fogged her vision into opaque obscurity before he began to shift. She would miss entirely her twin's shocked and concerned stream of colorful and inventive curse words.
Somehow, Ser managed to get the three of them downstairs and onto the couch that conveniently folds out into a surprisingly comfortable bed for guests. Seemed like that's where they would be spending the night.
Meanwhile... the last of the storm washed away the most obvious blood trails in the woods and around the house, though scent would linger.
