Chicago was shaping up to be as fruitless as all the other cities he had visited. However, the Master of the City, Auggie was easily dealt with as it seemed he was vastly distracted by news from St Louis and his own Lions. So, having spent a few hours chasing false leads and finding himself at dead ends, he finally pulled up outside a small side street bar. Placing his hands on the fuel tank of the motorcycle, he enjoyed the blazing heat for a moment, letting it sink into his hands before lifting them and pressing them to his face, sighing quietly. He missed Hikaru. Missed laying in bed with him, touching him, tasting him. He hoped silently that Chelle would be discovered soon so that he wouldn't have to travel anymore and leave Hikaru behind. That thought started to lead him down a merry dark spiral in regards to Hikaru's maker and he really didn't want to go there. Swinging his leather clad leg over the motorcycle, he stepped up onto the curb and into the bar. Turquoise eyes adjusted immediately to the dark interior, familiar only because it was like so many other bars. He ran his hands through the long disheveled strands of red hair as he walked to the bar and slid onto a stool. Aydryan slid the 3/4 length matching leather jacket off and draped it on the stool beside him, revealing that nearly transparent shirt he wore beneath and the tattoos that covered his skin. He wanted a Blisskey, pretty badly. While he waited for the bartender, he gave those within a cursory once over. It was always good to be aware of those around you.
A voice from the corner, loud enough to be heard over the already loud music shouted out "Hey Pierce! Turn it UP!" The Bartender grinned and moved to the radio, turning up the music a bit more shaking his head and moving to Aydryan "What can I get cha?" as the woman who had called out to him took another shot, the group around her cheering as the chorus came on. The woman stood, her cropped off dark gray sweater over a red tank top clung tightly to her body, her pants were nothing more than cropped off jeans, the legs connected to the shorts with garter straps. She raised her hand in the air with the rowdy college guys around her and started singing to the chorus, her voice resonating over the others in the group that sang along as well. "I see hell in your eyes. Taken in by surprise. Touching you makes me feel alive. Touching you makes me die inside." Her long dark hair hung over her shoulders, brushing it back with a move of her hand and sitting back down laughing with the rest of them. Obviously having a good time.
Aydryan's head tilted as he watched the revelers in the corner. There was something oddly familiar about the woman, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Before he could truly give thought to this, however, Pierce inquired of him. "Oh..yeah...a Blisskey would be wonderful...double, as well." He settled a $20 on the counter, head turning back toward the rowdy corner, "It must be nice...to be able to cast off all troubles and let loose the passions within. Sometimes, I admire young people." He glanced to Pierce, smiling slightly before his tongue flicked out to idly toy with one of the hoops at the side of his mouth. He didn't really expect a response from Pierce and when the double shot of Blisskey was set before him, he took it up and wandered toward the loud corner, watching them just out of curiosity more than anything else. Sometimes, it amazed him at how bold women were in this century, to dress and act as this one was while among so many young, restless and potentially dangerous males.
The woman wiggled her way out from between the guys and the table, adjusting her dark sunglasses laughing as she stood in front of the table and picking up the glasses "Need another round over there Pierce..." her eyebrows raised as the song changed and she turned to the guys trying to get them out on the dance floor "Come on you lot, get your lazy asses out here!" The group just shook their heads. Sticking her tongue out at them she started moving to the music, her movements slow, sensual, despite the hard music, she moved with a feline grace. "Get your own damn drinks then!" she laughed.
Again, he felt that the woman was familiar, but the bar was dark and the dance floor lights tended to change the shadows on peoples faces. When her companions failed to take her up on her invitation, Aydryan decided that perhaps if he danced with her, he might get a better look at her. It bothered him when he felt he might know someone, but couldn't place it. Setting his drink down for the moment, he slid his jacket back on, not really wanting to give someone with sticky fingers the opportunity to walk off with it. Then he took up his drink again and strolled smoothly out to the dance floor. His body was already finding the slow rhythm that the woman was dancing to as he neared her. A sip was taken of the Blisskey before he spoke to her, lifting his voice just enough to be heard over the music, "Mind if I dance with you?" His smile was closed lipped and slightly one sided.
The woman looked at him a minute, not stopping dancing, noting the red drink, her eyes wandering over him a minute before she shrugged, making the movement part of the dance. "It's a free country" As she moved to the music and against it he could catch glimpses of her eyes behind her glasses, one amber orb and one melon green, the green one had a slit in it much like a cat's as she watched him warily. She thought to herself that at least this one had asked to be near her, but she would keep her eyes on him at all times. The song changed and so did her dance, automatically moving her hips in an almost belly dance, her arms raising slowly above her head.
Aydryan Underwood: The eyes...they caught his attention quickly, so much so that he actually paused for a moment. After a moment he began dancing again, matching her movements easily as he sipped again, thinking. "The college boys really like you. And...I can see why."
Lerochelle Destiny laughs like she didn't believe it "Oh really now.. and why would that be?" she turned, spinning to the music at the same time making sure there was space between them.
Aydryan Underwood balanced the drink beautifully as they danced, smirking slightly at her question, "Well, they don't seem to be able to stop staring at you. I can only attribute that to the fact that you dance wonderfully and are quite lovely to look at." He sipped his drink as he moved around her slowly, swaying to the music, "However, I can't help but think that I've met you somewhere before."
Lerochelle Destiny shook her head, apparently he was going to use THAT line.. "Maybe I have one of those faces?"
Aydryan Underwood: "Mmm..no...it's the eyes. I've seen them somewhere before. I'm sure of it." He thought about his next words even as he was trying to figure just where he had seen this woman before.
Lerochelle Destiny swivels her hips, turning to face him, her head dipped down as she watched him over her glasses, not meeting his eyes but more looking at each of his piercings in turn.
Aydryan Underwood: Then it dawned on him and his eyes widened slightly. For the moment, he held his tongue, watching her very carefully, every movement, every gesture. Finally, he spoke, "Could you...be related to...a Le Rochelle De La Fae?"
Lerochelle Destiny frowns, searching her limited memory then shaking her head when it didn't spark any familiarity. "Can't say if I am... why?"
Aydryan Underwood: "You look ..... a lot like her. She's very missed." He left it at that as he continued to dance and slowly sip from his drink. This situation was nagging at him horribly. He wanted to roll into her mind and see if he could find anything that would give him answers.
Sarah swerved to the music, shrugging and setting it aside. Still the way he spoke made her wonder. She hid her wonderment by focusing on the music and the movement, her hips making figure eights as she slowly raised her arms in the air. A large claw dangled from around her neck on a cord.
When she didn't show any further interest, disappointment rose within him. If Ra had been here, he would have been able to do something, to tell if this woman was connected in some way. Was he perhaps looking for something that really wasn't there? He finished off his drink and sighed, "Beautiful necklace. Mind if I ask where you got it?" If he managed to catch her eyes again, he would indeed attempt to roll into her mind. It would settle his thoughts one way or another.
Sarah's hand went to the necklace for a moment as she danced. "It was a gift from the... someone that wanted me to find what I was looking for... whatever that is." She grinned suddenly thinking of Artie and Basil, both her upper and lower fangs flashing before she turned in the dance.
He frowned slowly seeing the flash of teeth. It couldn't be Chelle, no matter what he was thinking. If it was, she had gone through a lot of change in the space of time she had been missing. He swayed toward a nearby table and set his empty glass down, then moved back to her. "So, what are you looking for?"
Sarah turned back to him, her head tilting to the side "I don't know really... Maybe find out who I am... just like everyone else." She frowned wondering why she was telling him even this much and looked up to his piercings again, wanting to meet his eyes but knowing enough not to. So much was in a person's eyes, she wanted to see if he actually seemed to care or was faking like most others would.
That was such an odd thing to say at this very moment. 'find out who I am'. He told himself to not make more of it then what it was. A lot of people said that sort of thing at one time or another in their lives. Self-discovery was a very big thing any more. He could see that she was smart enough to not meet his eyes and he had to respect that. He smiled slightly as they continued to dance. Had she taken a chance to glance she would have seen that his attention was genuine. "Ah, but...in some ways I think you're at least comfortable with who you think you are." He gestured to the college boys, "I was just thinking earlier that it takes a very brave woman to act as you did among such....risky company."
"Easy to be brave when you can take all of them out at once." She laughs, "Besides... they are pretty much harmless, just wanted someone to drink with" She motioned to the bar slowing down her dancing "I'm going to get a drink" and walked on over to the bar, not waiting for his answer, a grin spreading on her face as she neared Pierce "Hey hon... Whiskey like usual?"
Lifted both brows at her statement. Then quietly followed after her taking a seat at the bar. When Pierce gave him his attention he spoke, "Another Blisskey please?" Then he took off his sunglasses and set them on the bar, rubbing his fingers into his eyes for a moment before folding his hands on the counter, watching her. "So...what flavor are you anyway? Wolf, cat of some sort? Other?" He smiled at Pierce when the drink was delivered, "Thank you."
Sarah pushed her glasses against her nose further, raising her eyebrow and glancing at Pierce. "That would be my own private matter wouldn't it?" she shrugged "besides it doesn't really matter." She picked up her drink as Pierce set it down in front of her and took a sip, watching him.
He shrugged lightly, "Fair enough, just a curious question is all." He lifted his glass, swirling the ice and liquid within slowly, watching it before sipping lightly. Then he looked at his watch and sighed quietly. Then he looked at Pierce, "Hey, can I ask you a question? Or...ask if you've seen someone? It's a woman, uhm...about this lovely lady's height and build..has reddish brown hair with white streaked along the front and ends. Funny enough, she had two different colored eyes as well. Her name is Chelle and she's been missing for about two months now. There are a lot of folk missing her."
Pierce frowned then shook his head "Can't say that I have. Sorry man." Sarah shifted in her seat focusing on her drink and glancing to Ayd every so often then to Pierce. Turning to Ayd she sighed and downed the rest of her drink in one gulp. "Well Pierce... I'm outta here!" She headed for the door waving to Pierce.
"Alright Hon see you tomorrow like usual!" Pierce called out after her.
Watched the young woman leave, then shook his head slowly, "She looks like her in some ways, but...is freer, I think." He shrugged lightly, frowning. If only he had been able to discover something, something positive. He was beginning to think that perhaps Chelle was lost to them forever. He took a long swallow of the drink and stared into the red tinged whiskey, trying to find answers that just weren't there.
Sarah stepped outside and shivered, she would have to get a jacket soon. She looked over to the black and red bike, walking over to it and running her fingers over the seat and gas tank lightly, a mischievous grin forming on her lips as she straddled the bike and revved it up. She quickly pulled a note out of her back pocket that she kept just in case and put the bike into gear.
It was probably another hour before he decided to leave the bar. He paid his tab, thanked Pierce for his service, pulled his jacket on and headed for the door. He backed out of the door, pushing it open with his back as he fished out the keys to the bike and his cigarettes. When he turned to where he cycle should have been, he stopped dead in his tracks. "Fuck....," fell softly from his lips. "Just...fuck me." Shaking his head, he pulled his phone from another pocket and called a local cab company. He'd take that ride to the airport and during that ride he be booking a plane. Inwardly, he was cussing a blue streak. He really liked that motorcycle.
Sarah had left the note, held down by two quarters. The note reads "Don't worry! You will get it back... eventually!"
