He had given Sarah time after her memories were returned to her. Time to re-familiarize herself with Wood Bourne as she had known it and those that lived there. Whispers had come to him of how some things were not going well and this made him sad for her. The fact that the Pack didn't seem to be rallying behind her was disturbing, but he also realized that he could do nothing to help her. Such an act would make her seem weak and that was not true at all. However, he could make sure that she was as strong as she could possibly be and that could only be achieved by completely the process of making her his Animal Servant.
Earlier he had called her and asked her to come to him in his inner sanctum. He sat at his desk shuffling letters and proposals, business contracts and personal requests. They were all distant considerations within his mind, Sarah, Chelle....was all that mattered at this point. Eventually, he sat back in his chair and simply stared at the door, falling into that vampiric stillness that some found to be so eerie, unsettling.
She had sat staring at the Munin for a long time, but they had become silent to her. She wandered the woods, but found no solace there either, constantly reminded of a broken pack and those that did not support her. She looked back at the town as she hit the end of the bridge, and sighed. Slowly she turned away from the town and the woods and made her way deep into the catacombs, making her way to Ra's chambers, her bare feet padding lightly on the stones.
She stood outside his doors for a moment and tugged down her jean mini skirt, damn thing was always riding up on her, her frustration was palatable, hot and unnerving, even for her. Finally she opened the doors and stopped meting his gaze as he was staring right at her.
His head tilted as she came through the doors. Then he spoke softly, "Meera Azeez...I can feel your turmoil." Rising from his chair, his hands extended toward her, his power wrapping around her in comforting warmth, "Come...let me take it away from you...give you comfort."
Chelle hesitates a moment before stepping through and moving to him putting her hands in his, frowning deeply. "I don't know what to do anymore Ra..."
Aydryan 's hands squeeze hers for a moment before sliding up her arms, fingertips gliding along the side of her throat until his hands cupped either side of her face, "You need only concentrate on this moment...with me. Nothing else matters outside of this room." His head bent slowly until his lips touched hers, whispering over them, "Let me give you the rest of my strength, make the bond between us stronger than time."
Chelle sighed, her arms wrapping around his waist, her head dipping down to rest on his chest. "Eternity... like this... ?" She looked back up at him searching his eyes.
"Beautiful? Strong? Yes....," Ra wrapped his arms around her, drawing her close and tight against himself, resting his cheek upon the top of her head, "For as long as I live...so shall you. We will support one another. You have only to say yes, only need to allow me these last two marks."
Chelle closed her eyes "Your the only one that seems to accept me the way I am... I can't accept your help with the pack... you know that." She looks up at him.
"I know Meera Azeez...but I can give my help to you. I can make the bond between us stronger and help you indirectly." His hands roamed over her back and shoulders as he looked into her eyes, glasses gone for once.
Chelle tips her head up and kisses his chin then pulls out a piece of paper and shows it to him. The letter is a copy and reads...
"Jade.
Take on the lead. The pack does not respect me. You have seen that. I cannot be their mother, friend, and punisher and king all at once. I have nothing left. I leave the land of the living, for now, and turn my face and heart to the land of the dead, to the only person that seems to accept me for who I really am. Trust Zevv, she has more answers than I ever did, and trust yourself. You have it in you to be a leader. I do not.
You know where I am and will be, but please do not search me out. But know that I am here if you really need me.
I just cannot be the Ulfric to a pack that does not care for each other, and does not respect or accept their Ulfric.
Sarah Le Rochelle Destiny."
"I gave it up..." she whispered softly not meeting his eyes.
He left one arm around her as he held the letter, black eyes moving slowly over it. He did not smile or frown, but simply nodded and spoke quietly, "I ... thought that you might come to this decision." He set the letter on his desk and once more held her in his arms, examining her face, her eyes. "I support you and believe that this decision is a good one for you. You have had much happen to you in the last year and have taken no time for yourself, to settle things within, to heal." He lifted one hand, fingertips brushing lightly across her forehead as he moved tendrils of hair to the side. "Jade is a good choice, strong and determined, but...there may come a time for her as well, when she will need to step away...for herself. Leading is a ....," he drew a slow breath and looked up at the moon and clouds painted on the ceiling, "difficult task for anyone."
Falling silent, he took a step toward the filmy black curtains across from his desk, Chelle held at his side. He drew her into the private area of this secret place and sat her down upon the large bed and sat beside her. "You have much that is left to you, Meera Azeez...you have the world and all that it holds. You have friends that do care for you, though you may not always see them. And, of course, you have me." He bent his head once more and kissed her, "I will share all that I am with you...you have but to say ... yes."
Chelle moved turning towards him, straddling his legs as she kissed him, her hands running up his arms to his shoulders, her fingers kneading at his muscles. Drawing back enough to look in his eyes she nodded and whispered softly "Yes."
His arms held her lightly so that she could sit as she wished, only to tighten once more as they kissed. With her whisper, he smiled, tender and slow, "We chose one another, Lerochelle, though perhaps we did not realize it in the beginning. I believe that the choice is a good one." Ra caught her mouth again, arms holding her close as he shifted backward on the bed until he rested against the headboard. Then his hands roamed over her body, large and strong, sure of their touch. He broke the kiss and whispered along her jaw, over the soft skin of her throat, "The next mark can be frightening, but do not be afraid...trust in me." His lips trailed along her collarbone before his face tilted upward, the tip of his nose skimming again along her jaw, beneath her chin.
Chelle sighs, her hands moving into his hair as she tipped her head up and to the side, her hair falling away from her neck. "We trust you Ra..." Her beasts paced closer to the surface, anxious, eager, and waiting. Her heart was almost racing as she closed her eyes, body tensing slightly as her fingers ran slowly through his hair. "I trust you."
Ra's energy touched and caressed over wolf and leopard, drawing them closer, reassuring them. The touch of his tongue was like cool velvet over the rapid pulse at the side of her throat and a soft sound rose from within him, a moan of bliss, just at the taste of her. His arms wrapped about her once more as he allowed the dangerous, thrilling scrape of fangs to touch her skin. Only when he felt her body relax from that slight tease did he finally bite. Chelle's blood burst onto his tongue like a ripe fruit, sweet and intoxicating, filled with her power, her beasts ....everything that was just her, the woman. As he drank her down her power influenced his, shaping it, giving it form until wolf and leopard were pacing and rubbing against a large shadowy beast. Ra continued to drink, listening to Chelle's heart, listening to her breath and as both began to slow, beasts laid down together and waited.
Chelle's body jerked at the bite, the involuntary reaction that was ever present in the unrolled. Her hands splaying along his back as she relaxed against him.
He drew her life from her, slowly and carefully, savoring every moment. Never once did his arms loosen or his energy fail in supporting her. As life began to ebb from her, quieting within her, Ra shifted his arms until he was cradling her against his chest. Lifting away from her throat, licking his lips slowly, he examined her face, watching her eyelids flutter delicately. He whispered against her cheek, "I have drained you to the very edge of life, Meera Azeez....your beasts and mine wait within us....Now all that remains is for you to take my life into you." He leaned back against the headboard, keeping her close, as he lifted his necklace and used the one sharp talon to open his own flesh. Tenderly, he tucked her face against his throat, "Drink, Lerochelle....drink and take my life in return....drink and let the last mark be given."
Chelle sighed softly, her lips pressed lightly to the wound. Slowly she stirred, her tongue slipping out to caress and tease. Almost languidly she opened her mouth, her arm moving up to wrap around his neck as she started to drink, her kitty fangs pressing against his skin. Slowly her other arm wrapped around his waist, gripping his shirt as his energy, strength, and power flowed into her.
Ra arched his head back, groaning deeply as he felt her smaller canines lightly bite his skin. "Chelle....," the word fell from his lips in the softest whisper, his hands gripping her shirt before unfolding and caressing over her back, down her arm. He opened further to her, letting his power pour into her, that shadowy beast lifting its dark muzzle and crying its pleasure and strength into the darkness.
Chelle's eyes fluttered open for a moment, a quick recognition as she pulled herself back from his neck minutely, her eyes beginning to glow with his eerie light. Her fingers once more running through his hair as she softly began to purr.
Ra sagged back against the headboard, eyes closed and lazy contented smile upon his slightly paler features. "We are one now....for as long as we both shall live." Slowly, dark eyes opened and looked at her. When he smiled, it reached his eyes, something that it rarely did. Then he gathered her to him and shifted them both bodily until they were lying upon the bed.
Earlier he had called her and asked her to come to him in his inner sanctum. He sat at his desk shuffling letters and proposals, business contracts and personal requests.
